“We absolutely loved Townhouse Diner! We ended up coming here almost every day during our stay in New York because it quickly felt like our home away from home.

The food is exactly what you'd want it to be; we had a breakfast burrito and avocado toast with poached eggs which we perfectly cooked. Free refills on the coffee was brilliant too. We were there about 8:45 and were seated straight away, order was taken promptly and the food arrived without any real wait. Definitely recommend.“

Every time I have done this, without exception, I have had to stand and wait as my order hasn't even been started yet - and I do arrive at designated pick up time. Interestingly if you order delivery it arrives in 15 mins:) That aside, this is hands down the best diner food I have encountered. It never fails to amaze me when I see the lines outside Gramercy Diner where the food is terrible when this place is so much better!! “Squire’s Diner is one of those places that reminds you why local diners are still the best. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and comfortable.

The food was absolutely delicious. Everything came out hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. You can tell care goes into the food, and the portions were generous too. It’s the kind of meal that leaves you full, satisfied, and already thinking about what you’ll order next time.

I booked a large group reservation here for a surprise birthday dinner, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. The food was excellent, and throughout the night our friends kept commenting on how delicious everything was.

A special shoutout to Antonio, our server, who went above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of and having a great time. The rest of the staff were also exceptionally friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We had a group of 20 people, and they handled our orders in a very organized manner. Despite the size of our party, the food came out quickly and everything was accurate.

Thanks to the outstanding service, we were able to relax and fully enjoy the celebration. I brought a birthday cake, and the staff helped set it up with candles and even sang with us. It was such a thoughtful, heartwarming gesture that made the night even more special.

The restaurant is conveniently located near Lincoln Center, making it a great choice before or after a show. Plus, they're open early and late every day, which makes planning easy.

We had an amazing experience and will definitely be back. Thank you to Antonio and the entire team for helping make the birthday celebration so memorable!“

It’s only about a 6-minute walk from Golden Diner, and we were able to sit down, stay warm, and enjoy good food and coffee while we waited. Now that I no longer live in the city, I still meet my tenants, brokers and associates at the Waverly Diner when I come up to New York each month to check on my six historic townhouses in the West Village. The food may be your typical diner fare, but the staff is A++ and they’re there and they care!“

“I’ve eaten here a few times over the last 20 years and had mixed results regarding my meal. Sometimes is was good and other times mediocre. I believe it matters what you order and when. I don’t recommend order breakfast items late in the day.
Sandwiches are good and French fries were tasty. Quiet atmosphere and I’ve never found it to be crowded when I’ve gone.
Good selection of things to eat and service is good. There’s outdoor seating available.“
