“A great Indian spot! My mom and I came last minute as we love indian food and we had a phenomenal meal! We shared the samosas, goa shrimp curry, lamb rogan josh, baingan bharta (eggplant), rice, and garlic naan! And they were so friendly and even brought us dessert on the house. Excited to come back!“

“We were in the city for 3 nights. I made reservations for the second and third nights. Left night one open. I found Saar online, it was less than a block from our hotel so we figured we'd give them a try. So glad we did. Nice place. Great, friendly service (Karim is the man!), and excellent food. I ended up cancelling the reservations I made for night 3 and we went back to Saar. Give them a try if you like Indian food. It was amazing!“

“When I walked in the restaurant the delicious aromas let me know I made a good choice. The food was absolutely amazing with vegan/vegetarian options and even a complimentary gluten free appetizer. The staff was welcoming and the service great. The prices were reasonable, but the best part was the delicious food!!“

“A wonderful place with a creative menu. Very unique flavors. Try as many items as you can as each one is special. We went in a group and we were able to share and taste a variety of items. A very casual chic place, you don’t have dress up 😊. They had some original cocktails, adding a twist to the traditional ones. Definitely must visit. Be aware, you will need to make a reservation well in advance. They are popular and hard to get in.“

“Warm, modern, and intimate restaurant that has a creative take on Indian cuisine. Upon entry, we were greeted welcomingly. You’d notice the decor immediately—stunning and attention to detail from top to bottom! The menu had so much to choose from and the servers were extremely helpful with explaining the differences. But the star of the show has to be the presentation of the food and the flavorful sauces. Worth the city prices. Would definitely come back for another special occasion!“

“This place is an absolute gem — the kind of place that effortlessly combines romance, elegance, and a touch of modern allure. From the moment you walk in, the ambience feels intimate and sophisticated, with warm lighting, exquisite décor, and a refined energy that sets the tone for an unforgettable evening. The cocktails are artfully crafted, each one as beautiful as it is delicious, and the food is nothing short of exceptional — rich, flavorful, creative and plated with perfection. The service was gracious and attentive without ever being intrusive“

“Delicious elevated curries, breads, and a focused menu that invites multiple visits. The dishes I tried all had unique textures, flavors, and compositions. Outstanding kitchen. I was not that impressed by the non-alcoholic cocktails: I didn't taste the complexity that the menu descriptions hinted at.
The food is filling. We ordered less food than they recommended, and we still had leftovers after eating more than needed.
It got really busy and bustling, but they had plenty of waiters to fill the need.“

“Really want to give them a perfect 5, but their service was painfully slow, consistent with what many Yelpers have mentioned on their reviews. Getting reservations was a breeze, and the layout remains the same at this place, what was formerly Priyanka Chopra's failed venture - Sona.
Katie got us seated and George was our host/waiter - who was pretty difficult to spot throughout our time here.
Now that I am done complaining about the service, lets quickly get to the food which was absolutely fantastic.
What to get? The standout dish of the evening was Jackfruit Ghee Roast ($30) - the most delicious Jackfruit dish I have every had. Creamy, spice balanced, and flavor packed. This with Malabar Parotha was a banger combination.
Market Beets ($20) stood out in small bites, thanks to the delicious walnut chikki, and the smoked mayo sauce with Kolhapuri Chicken Bao was really tasty. Roasted Bombay Corn Ribs ($12) can be skipped, and so can the Biryani Chicken Wings ($16).
Their seasonal cocktail - a Gin & Tonic with cucumber and mint was refreshing. Cocktails overall were enjoyable.
We tried all their desserts which include a pistachio icecream, gulab jamun with coriander, and icecream sandwich. Desserts overall were an absolute letdown and I wouldn't recommend any of them. If you have an absolute sugar craving, go with icecream sandwich!
If they figure out their service staffing, I see no reason why Passerine can't be a New York favorite. With a gifted chef who balances flavor so well, the core ingredient of this restaurant is up to the mark!“

“The biryani was delicious! I ordered the dum biryani, and the portion was perfect for one person. The place is quite small and a bit cramped, and there’s no wash basin available, so you’ll need to use wet wipes. Despite that, the food and service were really good overall.“

“We recently visited Bungalow NY, and it was truly an unforgettable dining experience! The ambiance was elegant yet warm, perfectly blending modern luxury with an inviting charm.
The food is absolutely outstanding! Every dish was a masterpiece, beautifully plated and bursting with authentic flavors. You could taste the creativity and love behind every bite.
What made the evening even more special was seeing Chef Vikas Khanna personally visit tables, sharing stories behind the dishes and asking for feedback. He is such a humble and inspiring gesture from a world-class chef. 🙌
And to top it all off, we even spotted Tripti Dimri dining there that night! ✨
Overall, Bungalow NY is not just a restaurant. it’s a complete culinary journey. Highly recommended for anyone who loves exceptional food, impeccable service, and an unforgettable atmosphere.“

“Butter chicken, goat doori kebab is to die for. Roomali Roti - just had it after ages. No doubt NYC has an Indian restaurant which can compete with the likes of Dum Pukht in India.“
“We had an amazing experience dining at ADDA a couple weeks ago. We were lucky enough to get a reservation for the Butter Chicken Experience for two (some of the hardest reservations to get in town but highly worth it!!) We were the 3rd experience that they offered that night, and it was truly amazing. The chef gave us a great table side service, sharing the history of the dish and what it meant to him though his own personal culinary journey. It was also interactive - we got to taste and choose elements of the dish to make it our own.
The aromas hit you as soon as you open the door to ADDA and you are transported to another universe. It has such a fun ambiance and a very friendly staff (shout out to our awesome server Swayam!) and AMAZING food and drinks all around (definitely try the Chutney Trio!). We especially loved being able to pick our chaats of the day...yes, we got both! Will definitely be back next time we're in NYC!“

“I’ve been walking by Pranam for quite some time and finally decided to come in - I can’t express how much I’m wishing I visited earlier! I’m blown away by the quality of the food and attentive service. The Momo were incredibly tender and perfectly seasoned and the entrees from varying places in Asia impressed me. Special shout out to the imported beers as well - I got the Nepal Ice beer and am now looking where to source it for myself. Truly a hidden neighborhood staple -
I encourage everyone to check this place out. You won’t be disappointed. Promise.“

“Rudra Indian Bistro on Cedar Lane is authentic as it gets. We have been here so many times and will always keep coming back because the food is high quality, healthy, and very delicious. We always start with the House Salad which is a great way to begin your meal. The Tandoori chicken is so juicy and succulent, and the Lamb Korma is one of our favorites. I highly recommend Rudra Indian Bistro! One of the best restaurants of Teaneck...“

“We came to try out this place thanks to a recommendation. Bratik, our server, was above and beyond. His recommendations were top notch and he even treated us to some unexpected menu surprises. We had the tandoori salmon (amazing with some tikka sauce on it), butter chicken and keema naan. We sampled the Bhel Puri, a delicious, crunchy app with tamarind chutney. Must try if in NY!“

“Cozy, intimate atmosphere. The service and presentation were wonderful. We had Tamarind Scallops and Chili Crab for appetizers. The crab was phenomenal and my favorite of all the dishes we ordered. For mains, we had Zameen Doz and Punjabi Tikhe Kebab with Malai Naan. The Dover sole was delicious and the pasanda sauce perfect for dipping the naan. The chicken was tender, juicy and so good! We were celebrating a friend’s birthday and were treated to a birthday dessert by our very attentive and kind waiter.“

“First time here and everything is great. Had the lamb korma and butter chicken and a side of chili garlic naan. The only thing is the chili garlic naan could be spicier but other than that, food was great. Our server AJ also explained some of the food we're not familiar with, and suggested to make the butter chicken spicier since what we ordered are both sweet, which was a great decision. Would definitely come again“

“Went at 7:30 on a Wednesday. Place was empty, which made us a little nervous. We got the “sit them in the window so it looks like we have customers” seat.
If you’re after UK or New Zealand–style curry, this isn’t it. But give it a chance—it’s still good. Nothing was amazing, but everything was nice. The naan was warm, and the flavors were solid. The papadums were soft, which isn’t great—they should be crispy—but that was the only real miss.
The setting was nice, the service was nice, and honestly, for Hell’s Kitchen just off Times Square, the price was very reasonable.
They even gave us a free dessert—gulab jamun, those syrupy donut balls—which was a nice touch.
Nothing blew us away, but we had a lovely time and I’d definitely come back.“
