While it looked packed they were able to seat us the bar within 2-3 minutes of coming in, coffees served quick and the food was out in no more than 10 minutes. “This is such a great little spot in NYC! We went for breakfast and when we arrived the owner opened the door for us and welcomed us in. We had to wait a moment till they had a table for us, so they gave us menus to look at in the meantime. The food was delicious and very filling. There were quite a number of staff on hand, so we had wonderful service. They were very quick to refill our water and respond to any needs. I would definitely go here again!“

“Love, Love, LOVE this breakfast spot. I order from here regularly. The food is always fast, fresh and budget friendly. The guy who takes phone orders affectionately refers to us as “The Donut Family” because we usually order the last donuts of the day. What’s pictured here is seasoned waffle fries and a special made burger (bacon cheddar cheeseburger on a glazed donut w/lettuce & tomato). They are open very early. They take cards and cash. The staff is super friendly. Great for delivery but not so great as a dine in spot (they do have a couple of chairs inside but it’s really too small to sit and enjoy a meal without having to move for the incoming foot traffic).“

This breakfast & brunch chain restaurant recently opened within the complex of the Bergen Town Center mall. It is not located inside the mall, but in the lower level parking lot next to Home Goods.

I knew this location was going to be on the money because there was an hour wait when my girlfriend and I checked in.

To entertain yourself while you wait, window in the surrounding stores until you receive a text message alerting you that your table is ready.

When we were seated, I was impressed already. The chairs are comfortable and they automatically provided all three utensils; most places only provide a fork and knife and I always have to request a spoon.

These are a couple of the menu items I explored:

Coffee:
I usually never order coffee whenever I dine out because I am not a fan of milk or half & half. First Watch provides vanilla and hazelnut coffee creamers.

As a bonus, the coffee is served in a refillable carafe ( similar to IHOP); if it is empty, the server will gladly refill it.

Double Bacon Parmesan Hash:
This was a unique, but phenomenal breakfast plate. I knew this signature item was going to be a winner when I saw the sidewalk billboard poster.

It was topped with a vegetable medley, over easy eggs, bacon and smothered in Alfredo sauce. The plate was very filling and I didn’t feel bloated afterwards.

If you decide to dine here, I highly recommend arriving in the morning or early afternoon because they close every day at 2:30 PM.

“I had a spinach pie (spanakopita) and Greek salad here and it was very good tasting and satisfying. It's good to know if you find yourself in the South Bronx (should you dare to roam these streets) that there's decent food here. I went here twice since I had something business related to do down here. The atmosphere of the diner is the major area that needs improvement but is pleasant. Sometimes a dark, old looking, low intensity environment is good though, especially if you're feeling down as I often am.“

It’s a shame the cream was “Devonshire” rather than the traditional Clotted Cornish but other than that it was perfection. “We ordered a chop cheese, the six corners quesadilla, tater tots, and a mango monster smoothie.

The vibe inside was a small and cute cafe. It took about 20 minutes for our food to be ready.

The chop cheese was delicious. I loved the texture of the ground meat and the melted cheese. The quesadilla was a little too salty and the steak was a bit chewy. The tater tots weren't great. The mango monster was solid, but I wouldn't get it again for $8.

Overall a solid experience. I would like to try some of their other menu items and maybe call ahead to avoid the wait.“
