“The BEST tasting take-out joint. And if you're looking for extra spicy/hot food, they know how to hit the spot. Being a vegetarian, I always order Vegetable Lo Mein with Fried Tofu and Vegetable Fried Rice with Fried Tofu. I ask to make it extra spicy and it's so delicious!!

“I've lived in Fair Lawn my whole life and never visited up until a couple months ago. I went to a place in Saddle Brook which is also great. But that place was closed on a Monday so I came to Great Wall. Very happy. Reasonably priced and delicious. NOT SALTY! I can't tell you the difference in the quality of food. The owner is such a sweet person too. Always smiling and thank you. Give it a try!!!“

“I'm a local. Not sure what's changed but the food has gotten significanty better recently.

In my experince, their soups, mains, even their eggrolls recently leveled up.

“Really delicious sushi and Chinese food. The sushi is not omakase but tasty for the price and variety. I order off the diet menu regularly, shrimp and broccoli and fried dumplings. Best ginger sauce ever for dipping items off the diet menu. I skip the dumpling sauce and use the ginger sauce for everything lol. Wonton soup is also delicious. They are always so nice and happy when I arrive to pick up my order. One day I ordered delivery and within 30 minutes the order was at my door. This is my go to spot when I have friends and family over looking to order Chinese food. I tried other places near Broadway and nothing has compared.“

“Food was: broccoli with chicken, good, just enough brown sauce. nothing salty, chicken was tender. Also House fried rice, very good not salty, not greasy and full of goodies. Also veggie fried rice, all types of veggies, not salty, very little soy sauce very good balance.Over all a healthy Chinese food option for our family. “Little disappointed at this place. Saw they had Crispy Beef with Fresh Honey Walnuts Beef with a bed of steamed broccoli in a sweet brown sauce topped with sugared walnuts. Not crispy as from can see in pic. Was this really beef also? Walnuts were plain as well.Steamed Spinach Dumplings were a bit dry . Hunan Dumplings Spinach and beef dumplings topped with spicy peanut sauce. Spicy. I got not spicy but were very good. Would I try again. Yes think I would.“

“Fantastic food and service. This is exactly like the food I enjoyed at similar Chinese lamb skewer restaurants in Korea. I went in expecting to have to use Korean because a few reviews said no one speaks English, but instead I encountered non Korean servers and had to use English. They also spoke Spanish. There are menus available in Chinese, Korean, and English. You can get served here regardless of language. I highly recommend if you want something different from typical Korean barbecue. It’s also BYOB.“

“I'm actually very impressed with this place. We were looking for something on Christmas Day and was glad we found here. What a hidden gem! The food was hot and fresh and not overly sweet or drenched in salty sauce like some of your other Chinese take out places! Heck they even ran a lunch specials on Christmas Day! Awesome price and generous portions. We got the beef chow fun, shrimp with broccoli, hunan tofu and chicken with spring beans. “Came here for lunch, they have a lunch special Monday-Saturday 11am-3pm. I had the general Tso chicken. Overall my food was good. It was spicy, fresh, and flavorful. “This is a great location. Service is great plus it’s always busy. My theory is, when you visit a panda express location that’s busy. The food is being consistently made. So you’ll get fresh made food every time. Versus going somewhere that has no foot traffic. The food is sitting under a hot lamp for a while so it won’t taste that great.“

“Great delicious chinese food I had pork fried rice and General Chaos Chicken with wonton soup and an egg roll . Everything was very good as far as the food . The bathroom was smelling like mold and area where you eat was ok atmosphere not great but food was great . Service was good lady brought our food to the table which was nice of her. its not a place where they have waitresses its order at the counter only to go or eat in . Place is open later than most restaurants in the area too and alot of parking on the street.“

If you’re new to the area and trying to find your Chinese food spot, definitely give this one a try. We ordered Wonton soup, General Tso combo with pork fried rice, wings combo with house special fried rice, boneless spareribs, and egg rolls. To me the wonton soup was perfect, not super salty like you get from other places, and the wontons were hearty and tasty. The general tso combo was the perfect amount of food, it made two meals for me and had the perfect amount of spice for me as it’s normally made. If you like spicier you could probably request that. My husband loved the wings and the house special fried rice. The boneless spareribs were really really good, I’ve ordered them from other places and there’s always an after taste, here they’re cooked perfectly. “I have ordered from here several times and it’s always been pretty tasty. Today I ordered to work and upon delivery I got chicken instead of beef with broccoli. I called and they told me that they would fix my order a little later when the driver has a nearby delivery. I wasn’t sure wether or not I’d get my dish, but eventually they did come and swap the dish….not something you can take for granted these days when gas prices are through the roof. “The food at this Chinese restaurant is super good. I recently moved to Fairfield and needed to find a good spot for Chinese takeout out. So, I tried joy wok. I ordered sesame chicken combo and the Mongolian beef. They were both super good. I don’t normally like my sesame chicken a little spicy and they made it just right for me.
The customer service is also great. I had accidentally ordered white rice with the Mongolian beef and when I picked up my order they switched it to fried rice right away with no extra charge. Everyone there is super nice. Definitely recommend if you are in the area in search of a good Chinese spot.“
