“Had dinner there for the second time on Saturday night! It was very memorable. The food was absolutely fantastic. I had the eggplant with the Barata for an appetizer. It was so delicious and so tasty and my main course was the homemade linguine with lump crab and corn. We also got the meatball which was spectacular and then I got the cheesecake dessert which was one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever eaten. I absolutely love love love this place. Can’t wait to go back and eat there again.“

“One the best if not the best restaurant in Bergen County. The cauliflower appetizer is outstanding. I had the sole veronique. Perfectly cooked and incredible. My wife had the chicken Milanese and the chicken moist, not greasy in the least . Definitely recommend it.“

“Had a wonderful anniversary dinner. Food was excellent and the live music was great. They just so happened to play our wedding song which was perfect. My husband and I had the tuna tartar and scallops as an appetizer. The scallops were over this creamy sweet corn chowder with corn salsa and croutons - it was amazing and the best scallops I’ve ever had! Tuna tartar was delicious too. My husband had the pork chops with this mustard crust and eggplant sauce and I had veal milenase with an arugula salad on top. Both were really delicious meals. The veal was huge and definitely could have split that. Even though we were so full, we still managed to get the yummy Pineapple cake and hazelnut chocolate mousse for dessert.“

I don’t think you could go wrong ordering anything off their menu; their pizza is the perfect Jersey pizza, their burritos are huge and taste SO fresh, and their cheeseburgers are like In N Out but WAY better quality. “Highly recommend Gus’ Last Word. This neighborhood establishment is cozy and chic at the same time. It is a perfect balance of retro and modern vibes. I was comforted by yummy chicken pot pie and unique cocktails. It has a lovely bar, with lounge areas, dining section and outdoor space. Shout out to the chefs, Christian the bartender and delightful Erin who provided great welcome, informed explanations of beverages and food, and great service. I will be back.“

“We threw a drop-in Buffet dinner for family and friends at Houlihans for 30 to 35 people. The room is spacious and accommodated everyone comfortably. Our server Eileen was excellent and the food was delicious. Michelle who assisted with the catering was very detail oriented and help me plan a great event. Sebastian the manager as extremely gracious and helped ensure our guests were taken care of. I would definitely do it again and highly recommend..“

“I’ve had the pleasure of having Kim as my bartender and she’s the absolute best there is. Very personable , knowledgeable of what to have to eat or drink and just the best at what she does . Her experience behind the bar should never go unnoticed. I’ve been coming here for over a decade and she’s always stood out among anyone else back there.“

“The people that work here are pretty friendly especially the ones that work the night shifts.

Only down side is that the prices are pretty comical if you are used to regular food prices. The owner has jacked up the price of fat sandwiches by almost $5 in within the past 2 years. I shouldn’t be paying $20 for a simple foot long sandwich that has a few fried foods in it.

Maybe have a student special meal as most of the business is from the High-school down the street.“

“My wife and I had a wonderful dining experience. The lamb chop special appetizer was delicious. Our entrees were fresh and tasty. We had the salmon and the red snapper special - brilliantly prepared by our chef. And dessert - oh my, must try the pistachio crème brûlée. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. It was a perfect evening for dinner. We will be back!“

“Wow, what a great restaurant ?
This was our first time here and we were blown away with how wonderful EVERYTHING was.
We went here for the wife's birthday and they had set up a special table just for the two of us.
Whoever designed the decor did a great job with the colors, etc. They made one completely forget about the surrounding neighborhood. While it's not a bad area, it's just not really picturesque by any means.
Wonderful fresh rolls and a super pesto spread started the meal. Next I had a mushroom soup to die for and definitely unlike any other I have had before.
For dinner, my wife had the pork chop which was delicious and cooked perfectly. I had the short ribs with a light brown sauce, mushrooms, spinach and mashed potatoes, which was great, to say the least.
We shared the First "mounds" which was vanilla ice cream, dark chocolate and coconut and should not be missed. Lastly I want to mention that the waiter and the rest of the wait staff were all courteous, accommodating and very professional. We felt that they were among the best we have encountered in our area by far.
We will definitely be dining here again in the coming weeks and I would suggest that anyone living in Bergen county or northern NJ should do the same. EXCELLENT ?

“I had a private event in the Parlor Room and it was fabulous. Food and drinks were spot on and the service was dynamite. The staff and owners are so polite and professional, I feel like I could do a full page review on them alone. Our waitress Lisa was a pure delight. A breath of fresh air. If you enter through the bar you get to have a "Goodfellas" moment as you pass through the kitchen to the dining room and get to greet the chef. Finally, the food. It was awesome. “We dined at Robert’s for the first time. We were celebrating a relative’s birthday. The food was outrageous! The appetizers were amazing as were all of the entrees. I had chicken stuffed with mushrooms and I can honestly say that it was the best chicken I have ever eaten. The portions were plentiful. We had a large selection of desserts to choose from at the end of the meal. I chose one particular dessert but before mine came out, I asked if I could exchange it for one that someone in our party had in front of her. No problem. They accommodated me and it was beyond delicious. Also, the staff was very attentive during our whole meal. They could not have been any better. The only negative was the fact that there was also another birthday celebration going on at the same time and it was so noisy that we couldn’t hear each other talk. Despite that, I wouldn’t hesitate to return to this fabulous restaurant.“

“A big, delicious mess. That is what I expect when I order BBQ style items off a menu and that's what I received! I stopped by for lunch and ordered the BBQ Beef Brisket sandwich. It was much larger than I expected and I did my best to finish it but did not fully succeed. The meat was overflowing and the sauce got everywhere.

The sides were decent. I loved the slaw but the fries could have used a little salt.

I am in town for a few more days and will definitely be back to try the ribs and some happy hour specials.“

The sea bass was cooked perfectly and the skin was so crispy, a first for me as I've never had fish skin before. Others had the filet mignon which was also cooked to perfection.
