I must preface this review by saying we have had many wedding and baby showers and even dined in the private room with our immediate family when our daughter earned her Master's Degree. We have never been disappointed with the planning host, food or servers. I digress to our dinner at the Mediterranean Grill. We were greeted by our just fantastic waiter. Dam, I forgot his name. His demeanor was that of a very knowledgeable and professional gentleman. Attentive throughout our meal, and our chicken and shrimp dish. Perfectly prepared, hot and delicious. For an appetizer we had calamari friti, hot and crunchy, yum. Dessert was a cannoli and zabaglione over berries. so delicious and fresh. Great, great evening........“

Started off with the Fire Roasted Wings (10) flame-broiled all-natural chicken wings marinated in fresh herbs & spices + lemon & herb dipping sauce Dough-Roni Pie Olli Salumeria pepperoni + tomato sauce + ricotta + fresh mozzarella + red onions Lemon Ricotta Ravioli Hand-made Ravioli + summer squash + fresh mint + pistachios + lemon zest + parmesan cheese Got off track sorry. Has seating at bar and has outside patio. (Was just a little to hot out there today) Very clean and definitely swinging by again. It’s right across street from Fairfield airport. The one thing that very few baristas do is they give you overspill of half a cup or something but sometimes I watch them either throw it out or pour it into another cup and put in fridge. Maybe that's for them. I dunno. I always love when the person gives me the extra!!“

“Business lunch. Lobster salad was waterlogged lobster, tasteless and probably previously frozen. Last time I was there I had sliced ribeye steak sandwich. Totally dried out but was great the fist time I had it there. Disappointing and inconsistent. Not what you want when bringing clients.“

“This place is excellent. I bought my friend from Japan with his family and was happy to take them to Cornbread for some authentic soul food. Needless to say my friend and his family loved the experience. They were finishing a road trip throughout the US and they thought the food at Cornbread was some of the best they had in their month long journery. The turkey wings were particularly good and I'm saying this as a person who is mostly vegetarian. Service was also excellent with attentive help and the servers were conversational and friendly with my friends and I. Bathrooms were also very clean. I wholeheartedly recommend Cornbread Montclair as a solid business and a great place for delicious Soul Food.“

Whether we get take out or dine in, the staff is extremely friendly, the food is fresh and flavorful, the music is calming jazz and the booths are so comfortable. We have many favorite dishes @ we especially love the thickness & taste of the raita. We highly recommend this restaurant, and we also enjoyed it 25 years ago when it was Begum Palace. I got the original chicken with rice platters and one chicken mix gyro wrap. Excellent and momma is really hard to please. We’re transplants from NYC and with NYC being at the top of the dining out / take home capital it is tough for many States and counties to compete with the flavor and cooking styles easily found in NYC just around every corner.

OMGRYRO easily hits all the marks with the exception of the Jerk Chicken. Jerk Chicken flavor profile is no bueno in my humble opinion and that is because it doesn’t come close to tasting like jerk seasoning and can’t compare to true jerk style flavor.

Everything else is we ordered and devoured tasted great, high on flavor with decent portion sizes.

Hope they put the Jerk Season flavor to the chicken NYC style.“

From the wait staff to the kitchen staff to management, everyone was incredibly friendly, unbelievably accommodating when it came to food allergies (they came out to talk about everything in specific detail to make sure it was safe before it was cooked and served), and the food was absolutely delicious!! I would absolutely recommend trying Marakesh out if you haven't been. They will be more than happy to go over the menu and explain anything you might not recognize or need changed because of restrictions. You can also call ahead so it can be prepped ahead of time for you. I will definitely be back again!!“

“Decided to stop in after a tour visit to Montclair University and receiving a gift card for Christmas. Everything was delicious. We ordered brisket fries,cheese fries, smash patty melt, Montclair Blue Burger, build your own burger and 3 shakes. Everything was amazing including the burger buns (fluffy and airy). When I went he personally came & show the table even though He was not working at my table. Pratikbhai is excellent every time. He ask the taste & bring the same taste food. “Had dinner there for the second time on Saturday night! It was very memorable. The food was absolutely fantastic. I had the eggplant with the Barata for an appetizer. It was so delicious and so tasty and my main course was the homemade linguine with lump crab and corn. We also got the meatball which was spectacular and then I got the cheesecake dessert which was one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever eaten. I absolutely love love love this place. Can’t wait to go back and eat there again.“

“We dine in here frequently and have had an amazing experience always. We meet Brian the GM, who’s nothing but terrific. He is so personable, he always checks in on how the food and experience is and goes above and beyond!

I highly recommend this place for very good Greek food that’s fresh and made well!
