Wanted to give a huge shout out to the entire staff that worked last night (9/21) for looking and FINDING my daughter’s retainers she left on the table in a napkin and were thrown out because she forgot them when she and her big group of soccer players left. The whole staff cheered in the back when someone found them and my daughter was so thankful (as we parents are too)! This was above and beyond and thank you to Applebee’s for employing truly empathetic people that took their time to do this. I can’t wait to go back, we do come to the Flanders location often (both sit down and carside to go).“

“Last night I had the rare privilege of dining at Applebee’s, where a true artist of the kitchen elevated the Southwest Chicken Bowl and boneless wings into something that would make the entire Michelin Guide weep with envy.
The Southwest Chicken Bowl arrived like a carefully composed canvas. Each grain of rice had clearly been individually selected and toasted to the precise degree of caramelization. The chicken — impossibly tender, seasoned with a depth that suggested hours of careful reduction — rested atop a foundation of beans and corn that somehow managed to taste both rustic and refined. The pico de gallo was a bright, acidic counterpoint, cut with the confidence of a chef who has spent years perfecting the perfect dice. Even the cheese felt intentional, melted just enough to bind the dish without ever overwhelming it. One bite and I understood: this was not merely a bowl. This was a statement.
Then came the boneless wings. Crisped to an ethereal golden shell that shattered with a whisper, revealing meat so succulent it could only have been the result of a multi-day brining process known only to a handful of living masters. The sauce clung with elegant restraint — neither too sweet nor too aggressive — coating each piece in a lacquer of pure intention. I found myself slowing down, almost reverent, as if I were tasting something that should only be served on white tablecloths under soft lighting.

“My family and I recently stayed at Pendry Natirar to celebrate my birthday, and our experience was truly exceptional thanks in large part to Jeminah at the front desk!
Jeminah went above and beyond to make our stay special. She was incredibly welcoming, professional, and genuinely kind. She arranged a beautiful room for us and took the time to ensure that every detail of our stay was perfect. What stood out most was how wonderful she was with our 3 yr old daughter. Her warmth and kindness towards our daughter made a lasting impression on our family.
Not to mention the rest of the staff at the hotel was also super kind and welcoming to us - everyone from the staff opening the front doors, the engineering team when we had a slight glitch in our room, to the staff wandering the lobby there for your needs. Everyone was truly wonderful.
Also we came with our golden retriever, who loved being pet by the staff! Your team even brought up bowls and a dog bed for him - so sweet! Oh and did I mention the food was incredible too?! Just Wow!
Outstanding hospitality is about making guests feel valued and cared for, and Jeminah is a perfect example of that. Because of her exceptional service, my birthday getaway was even more memorable. I hope that Pendry recognizes this individual.

“To be fair, my rating is over 4. It's more like a 4.6 since 1 of us 6 mentioned a slight negative about the flavor of her chicken. And our per person cost was about $50. I expected that, but that's okay. The sights outside were very nice. The grandchildren enjoyed themselves which is a plus. If you have a boat, you can actually dock it at the Windlass and order a meal. They also have several cabana looking coverings along the dock which can be reserved so you can enjoy your meal there. My wife noticed that the seating can glide forward and back.“

I had a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich along with a crumb cake, and it did not disappoint. The sandwich was easily one of the top five breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had… perfectly cooked, flavorful, and satisfying. The crumb cake was the ideal sweet follow-up, soft and not overly sugary.

The guys working there were really nice and welcoming, giving off that genuine small-town friendliness. Service was quick, casual, and made the experience even more enjoyable.

“My husband and I celebrated our anniversary there last night. I requested to dine in one of their rooms. We were escorted to a small room where we enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Our waitress, Ava, was awesome. We were given a small complementary bottle of Processo which was so nice! We have been there many times before and never had a bad meal. The vintage decor there is fabolous! Highly recommended.“

“Came for dinner with another couple. The tapas eggplant was delicious, light and flavorful. Just lovely. We had two burgers and two steaks. All delicious and perfectly cooked. Service was excellent and the restaurant is beautiful, however, there is a huge bar in the middle of the restaurant. Which normally would not be an issue but this evening four young women were “working” the older men sitting at the bar. It became clear as the evening progressed that this was going on. None of us could believe what was happening right next to our table!! As the targeted men left the bar the young women quickly moved on to their next victims. It was all very obvious and pretty repulsive. Such a shame to have this type of thing happening in a lovely restaurant. I would hope management will be alerted by the bartenders that their establishment has become prey for this type of behavior. Quite unsettling.“

We were nervous about how the food would be but my husband and I were shocked by how delicious it was and the guests kept complimenting it was as well. The restaurant is family run and the owners did everything to make sure it was a hit. From initial emails, phone calls, questions, and menu selection they went above and beyond. I can’t stress enough how each bite of food we had was better than the last. They out did themselves on taste, presentation, professionalism, and courtesy. Add to that delicious fresh food and you have a winner. Tonight we had fresh large shrimps with a most delicious home made cocktail sauce. Fresh crab cakes with a fabulous remoulade, and a chocolate mousse to die for as dessert. We ordered too much and have to save some for tomorrow. We live in town, and are happy to see the names of so many out of town visitors appreciate Chesapeake Tavern.“
