I had a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich along with a crumb cake, and it did not disappoint. The sandwich was easily one of the top five breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had… perfectly cooked, flavorful, and satisfying. The crumb cake was the ideal sweet follow-up, soft and not overly sugary.

The guys working there were really nice and welcoming, giving off that genuine small-town friendliness. Service was quick, casual, and made the experience even more enjoyable.

“We love it at The Windlass! Although it's doesn't have the atmosphere other restaurants in the lake have, we love the food, the people and the drinks. My personal favorites are the pizza, Chicken Parmesan with vodka sauce and the Berry Cosmo. We love Nancy and Frank, at the bar, and rarely sit at a table. “We held my mother and her twin brother’s 75th birthday in the Patio Room on Friday evening. Everything was perfect. The food was wonderful. Everyone was stuffed! My favorite was the shrimp and scallops, my husband’s couldn’t get enough of the prime rib! Jonathan and his team took such great care of us. He was so attentive. I have no idea how he remembered what everyone was drinking because we were getting up and mingling, but he managed to make sure everyone had a drink in their hand. Being next to the pizza oven when it was below freezing made it so cozy! I would absolutely recommend Cinders; a great time was had by all.“

“I enjoyed some aspects of this restaurant but not others. It was hard to find a parking spot. The atmosphere was very nice and friendly staff. They seem to have a lot of fried food which I personally can’t eat too much of.. and the grilled chicken was thin and dry. The wait time for our meals was long despite not being too busy.“

“My husband and I celebrated our anniversary there last night. I requested to dine in one of their rooms. We were escorted to a small room where we enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Our waitress, Ava, was awesome. We were given a small complementary bottle of Processo which was so nice! We have been there many times before and never had a bad meal. “Haven’t been to any Fuddruckers in years since they closed in Wayne,NJ. Was amazed to see a location still open. They have a large game room for the kids. One upsetting thing they didn’t have fresh bakery like other locations. Food was hot and fresh. Plus unlimited fries . Was well worth it.“

Service was excellent and the restaurant is beautiful, however, there is a huge bar in the middle of the restaurant. Which normally would not be an issue but this evening four young women were “working” the older men sitting at the bar. It became clear as the evening progressed that this was going on. None of us could believe what was happening right next to our table!! As the targeted men left the bar the young women quickly moved on to their next victims. It was all very obvious and pretty repulsive. Such a shame to have this type of thing happening in a lovely restaurant. I would hope management will be alerted by the bartenders that their establishment has become prey for this type of behavior. Quite unsettling.“

Fresh crab cakes with a fabulous remoulade, and a chocolate mousse to die for as dessert. We ordered too much and have to save some for tomorrow.
