“Best seafood boil in the area. I used to go to Captn Loui on Main Street, which is still a solid establishment, until I found this place. This seafood boil in my opinion is slightly better than the competition in the area generally. There is often no wait at all here so it’s easy to get a table. The staff is attentive and helpful in answering questions. Overall it’s a go to spot for me and I recommend it!Dietary restrictions: Most things are gluten free by nature of the food“
“We dropped in for an early dinner to try this restaurant close to home. The flavors were amazing. We had catfish bites and pear salad as starters and fried chicken and gumbo as the entrees. Everything was perfectly prepared. We met the owner who was very welcoming. The space is not very big so reservations are recommended if you plan to dine in.“
“I really enjoyed my evening out at this joint. The food was on point; well seasoned and expertly prepared. The staff exuded warmth and were very attentive. And a nice vibe and feel to the place. The only minor issue was (a) the seating is a bit tight and (b) it was a bit noisy. I would have given 4 1/2 stars instead of 4 but that's not an available option. I unreservedly recommend! And if you fail to try their grilled oysters...well, that will be your eternal loss LOL.“
“First time there yesterday..the place is beautiful. The food was OK. Our waiter Jonathan C was awesome!! The blue crab doesn’t need the powdered sugar on top. The alligator bites batter was too salty and the cornbread was on the dry side….half a loaf is only 2 small slices for $8…not cool. And last but not least, the bread pudding should have been warm and the caramel sauce taste burnt. I will still give it a 8 out of 10 rating.“
“My family took me here for my birthday and we had a wonderful time! The staff was very attentive and the food was served quickly. Everything on the menu was tasty, it was hard to stop ordering. We had such a great experience we’re planning on celebrating different birthdays here! I would highly recommend this place if you love seafood!“
“One of the best seafood boils you can hope for!We were visiting NYC for 10 days, and I'm glad we found this place on our fourth day.It was soooo good that we had to go there twice! The people are so nice too.I've been back home for 3 days now, and I'm already craving their food. It's definitely recommended.“
“Finally a great fish market in our area, where you can get sushi grade fish, local catch and great shellfish. love the fish monger and coming from one of the biggest fishing ports in italy I know that’s a tough job and it takes a lot of work and dedication to offer a decent variety of fresh fish.My fluke was extremely fresh and perfect for a carpaccio/sashimi, mussels were also great and so it was the fillet of monkfish.Keep up the good work!!!thanks!!!“
“It was good for NYC. But as someone who has been to NOLA it doesn’t compare. They were packed but service was still fast. Food was fresh; it was just the sauces that weren’t as good as I’ve had in other places. They did pack the bag full though!!“
“A lovely dinner Hubby and my Son , Ryan and his beautiful wife Emily at his new Restaurant “Canary Club” the food was amazing , wonderful service it felt like the chef was giving us our own personal tasting ! Every dish was delicious and always with great presentation. Such a cozy and eclectic spot with a New Orleans flair ! I would highly suggest if you go to New York City make sure you stop bye and enjoy this rare gem.......“
“We got there around 945 right before the kitchen closed, we ordered fast and got the lobster, soft shell crab basket , king crab, Mac n cheese and garlic bread, Cajun fries , mussels, ordered all rhe seafood with the boil sauce which is a mix of all of them definitely go with that and don’t need to order extra sauce, came with potatoes and corn, the drinks were that great but the service was fast, it was super busy, classic seafood/cajun vibe“
“Absolutely delicious and authentic Chinese food. I was invited to this restaurant by my Chinese boss and he ordered most of the food. I was blown away by just about everything we ordered as I have never heard of most of these dishes. They were all amazing, with the exception of stinky tofu. If you’ve never had it before, you probably shouldn’t risk it as it’s a definite acquired taste. I will be back here to explore more dishes“
“Alicia was in the server and she was spectacular. She came back to the table 2 times during our meal to make sure we were OK and some happy birthday to me her and her coworkers. It was a really nice experience. The restaurant was nice and clean the bathroom was superb, nice experience I went for lunch“
“Stopped in 1803 for lunch while I was downtown. The staff was friendly and super helpful.I ordered the Catfish Sandwich that came with friends. The Catfish was flavorful with their house chili sauce. I wish the bread wasn’t so thick for the amount of meat.Interested in trying some of the other options on the menu, but overall had a good experience.“
“As we were greeted as soon as we came in by a very lovely lady at the front counter, we were immediately seated with the waiter, coming out very promptly and taking care of every knee. As soon as something was finished it was removed as soon as you needed something they were right there some of the best service I’ve ever had in my life. It’s hard to find and the food is absolutely amazing. Is one of the best nights I’ve had out at dinner and well over a year year.“
“My first time visiting here was amazing Amy the owner & host was so nice & humble & immediately let us know happy hour drinks were 2 for 1 which was amazing, also they had soft shell crab which is usually hard to find, the bartender/server Tolly was amazing as well the drink were so good & strong alot of places water down they drinks but not here, which is most important to me lol. The place is super clean & peaceful I absolutely recommend it & will be coming back. They have happy hour M-F 12-7 ?????“
“Really attentive service. Always checking up on you. The seafood boil was very tasty for 3 lbs with 2 side and extra order of sausage came out to $70. Really good deal. Only complain the music. Same reggaeton on repeat. But definitely will “
“Yummy Southern confort food! Many meals contain seafood; notify staff of allergens so they can limit cross-contamination for your meal. I have a mild seafood allergy and did not experience issues avoiding it.Dietary restrictions: Notify staff of allergens! Many meals contain seafood, but they can try to limit cross-contamination for your meal. I have a mild seafood allergy and did not experience issues avoiding it.Parking: Street parking can be very difficult and there are few paid parking spots in area.“
“Went her with my wife on a date night and it was amazing. There was a DJ playing nice old school and new music the food is great service is on point and the servers are very respectful and attentive to your needs. I highly recommend this place to come hang out eat some good food and enjoy yourself.“
“I have been to a lot of seafood spots and this is a great local Astoria spot for seafood! The food was delicious and so filling. Ate the crab legs with shrimp with the Boil special sauce with a mild level of spices for one order and medium level of spices for the second order. We also ordered a side of Brussel sprouts and potatoes which were also good. The total was 134$. The place does only take cash but they have an ATM inside. There is plenty of space inside and we did not need to make a reservation for a Wednesday evening. Parking in this area is a bit difficult. Definitely recommend !“
“During our stay we had planned to go to a Cajun restaurant, the kind of unmissable...And I must say that I am very happy with my find, it's great taste-wise, we loved it... On the other hand, the atmosphere of the restaurant, the decor... No interest.... A large, poorly used space ... No soul... And also the volume of the music like a disco, we could hardly hear each other speak.... It's really a shame because the food is divine... but that's what I I have the impression that it's really an American delusion....they turn the sound on loud everywhere, it's unbearable....in short....if the cooking had only been acceptable I would have turned it to zero everywhere just for this detail....hoping that my opinion will make sense ??♂️“
“Love the Food & the person who Takes the orders is Pleasant, I live on Gunhill& been here a few times just for the food.. I had ~ Wings,General Tso chicken ,fried pork Dumplings ,egg fried rice in all the orders. EVERYTHING WAS GOOD!! I will return for sure.Parking: There’s a parking lot front in front. Also street parkingKid-friendliness: There’s space to sit & eatWheelchair accessibility: No steps. Which is great!“
“THE LOBSTER BOIL WITH CRAB LEGS LOBSTER TAILS AND PRAWN SHRIMP ? WAS EXCELLENT PRETTY FAR BUT WORTH IT YOU CAN ORDER AHEAD ? TRY THE SPICY IF YOU LIKE THAT OR CAJUN...GOOD PRICES NICE COZY SPOT. SEAFOOD AT ITS BEST ??Wheelchair accessibility: WHEELCHAIRS CAN COME IN AT STREET LEVEL“
“This was my first time trying seafood boil and the experience was really good. I am a spicy food lover so having the option to choose your spice level on the menu was a plus for me and the combination was really good. The oceanic combo gives you a good amount of food which can easily be shared between three person (saves you a little money). Besides I also loved their Piña Colada.Side note: the seafood boil experience can get a little messy, so I would suggest having extra napkins and ask for an extra pair of gloves.“
“I rarely write a review but I have been obsessed with Crab Du Jour since they opened in Harlem. My experience here has been delightful from the food to the friendly and attentive staff members who make customers feel right at home. If you are a seafood lover who’s in the mood for mouth-watering authentic Cajun dishes that won't break the bank, look no further than Crab Du Jour in Harlem; just steps away from the hustle and bustle of 125th Street. Their signature boils are an absolute must-try! They offer a variety of options like Crawfish, Shrimp, Snow Crab legs, Dungeness Crabs and Lobster Tail – all cooked to perfection! Each boil comes with potatoes and corn on the cob and your choice of classic garlic butter, lemon pepper, and the original Cajun or Crab du jour special, sauce. I usually add sausage to my boil; Yummy! Looking for something other than boils, there are plenty of choices! They offer dishes like po’ boys sandwiches which come with fried oysters or fried fish filets. My friend really likes the crispy chicken po’boy. They also offer fried shrimp baskets, or crab cake baskets, just to name a few. Regardless of what you choose off the menu here, you can be sure that it will be delicious and flavorful every single time!“
“Was a little nervous after reading some not so good reviews about their customer service and watching some TikTok reviews.... However I still decided to give them a try...walk in the place was empty but it was in the evening and just finish raining. The worker in the front was cool and helpful he gave me some suggestions which helped me make some of my decisions. Once my order was complete the cook came out with my order to explain which each meal was before packing it away which was sweet and helpful because it allowed me to take the pictures I needed since I was taking my food to go. Everything was tasty except for the tender meal with the mash and corn that was my least favorite. The fries were also too soft for my liking wish they were a little more crisper. I may or may not visit again but I do suggest you stop by and check them out for yourself. Ambiance: 4/10 Food: 8/10 Customer Service: 10/10“
“Outstanding experience, I would give more than 5 stars ? , everybody goes above and beyond in everything they do, I want to give a special thanks to Herman, Pen, Henry and Ardy for their excellent service. They're always welcoming and treat everyone like family!“
“Good service, very clean, friendly staff also good food. Majority of the items are pricey but that’s because seafood is expensive so it is logical. Certain items are budget affordable thought depending. I ordered the seafood pasta, chicken tenders, fries, hush puppies, fried shrimp, onion rings, lemon pepper fries, lobster tots etc and it was delicious and super yummy. I’ve been coming here for more then a year since it was first opened and I honestly love it.“
“I ordered Doordash and my food came so quick! It was fresh and the fried shrimp was still crispy and you can tell it's good quality shrimp. The Cajun fries were bomb! They sent me 4 different sauces and coleslaw with my order :) VERY happy with my decision to order from here.“
“I came here years ago, prior to covid. I hoped they haven't lost their touch. They did not disappoint with the food. Hush puppies were phenomenal. Po' boys were juicy and packed with meat and just perfection. Cocktail was great. Fantastic atmosphere, they have a ledge going along parts of the restaurant filled with more hot sauces from different brands than I'd seen together my whole life. We had a great time trying them out with our meals. I would say service was a bit off, but the place suddenly got filled up on a Thursday and I wouldn't blame staff as it seemed unusual for that day of the week. Apparently it was trivia night for any and all willing participants. Staff was very friendly, accommodating. I couldn't think to be upset if they were a little less attentive when 20 people suddenly walked through the door. Also, Alligator sausage is a thing here. Beautiful menu.“
“Every time I get to New York I go here and when I come home I take some with me !The food is amazing puts you in a food coma . Nice fresh seafood . & the price is great for seafoodCustomer service is always great over the phone .Thank you Steve !“
“PROS: This place was very nice. the food was good, priced well, and the menu variety was plentiful. This place has a bar and restaurant and the atmosphere for both is great. Chris was a great waiter to us as well CONS: The red head bartender was a bit rude to us and the parking is only street parking. Also took a while for the food to come out OVERALL: I'll definitely come back here but just be mindful of who you speak to that works there“
“Hands down, the greatest sea food boil around. I'll drive 30 minutes to Capt loui even though there's several other companies way closer to me. It's just that good. Service, food, cleanliness, the staff... everything is top notch, never once left without being completely satisfied. If I could give more stars I would, 10/10 experience every time ?“
