“Had dinner here and it was very tasty. The establishment interior is a small refined diner. Four booth seats bar top and two stand alone tables. The booth seating was plush and comfortable to fit up to four diners. One waitress and bartender on duty, with a small kitchen. We were sat and waited on fast, but food took sometime as the place filled up fast after. We ordered the steak and the wedge salad and fries. Took roughly 25-30 minutes for the food to come out. The Steak portion was tiny, not diner sized but to be expected for the area. The meat was tender and well seasoned the potatoes were soft and complemented the dish. The wedge salad was cheesy and well seasoned.“

“This Manhattan diner was neat and clean, and the food was definitely good. The staff was friendly, but one downside was that they charged for refills on small cups, which felt a bit pricey. “Baby Blues Luncheonette definitely lives up to the hype. When we arrived, it was already pretty crowded, and for good reason. They don’t take reservations, so be prepared to wait especially on a Sunday around 11:30 a.m. like we did. We ended up waiting about two hours, but they do send you a notification when your table’s ready, and they also show you how many parties are ahead of you, which makes the wait feel a bit more manageable.

The place itself is small, and tables are pretty close together, but it wasn’t an issue for us. The menu is straightforward and easy to navigate, and the prices are very reasonable. My partner got the “Plato’s Plate,” and I went for the “Chicken Club.” Both were fantastic. My partner gave her dish a 9/10, and I’d give mine the same rating. The price-to-quality ratio was excellent, and we had no complaints. The only small note from my partner was that the bacon on her plate was a bit greasy, but it wasn’t a big deal.

We also shared a side of “Greek Potatoes and Tzatziki.” That dish was another 9/10. The only downside was that there wasn’t quite enough tzatziki for all the potatoes, so I’d recommend asking for extra on the side if you order it. No real issue though, just a small suggestion. We had an “Iced Coffee” and a “Regular Coffee” with our meal, and both were spot on.

One more thing: we were treated to a complimentary dish of fresh strawberries and blueberries with whipped cream (as you can see in the photo I included). We’re not sure what it was called, but it was light, refreshing, and delicious. Easily a 10/10, and I’d highly recommend it if you get the chance.

The service was also excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive, and even the hostess deserves a shoutout. We arrived a bit late for our seating time, but she was understanding and still got us a table despite it being so busy. Really appreciated that.

The bill was pretty reasonable for everything we got, and I left a $15 tip because of the great service and the complimentary fruit bowl.

Overall, we had a fantastic experience, great food, great atmosphere, and excellent service. The wait time can be long (ours was 2 hours), but it’s totally worth it when you consider the quality of the food and the prices. I’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend you give it a try too!

“Had breakfast there twice. Once solo and the next time with my wife. Consecutive Tuesdays. Just there this morning, after the golf range at Chelsea Piers. It's a combination of Greek and Mexican specialties. I have sampled the eggs overeasy with corned beef and this time had three poached eggs with fresh tomato and feta, home fries and coffee. All wonderful. My wife had fried eggs with ham on top of grilled taco. She loved it. This is a top notch diner with excellent service.“

The place is small but customers are wise to eat and allow others to enjoy breakfast and great burgers for lunch. Selection of cocktails put a fun twist on classics without being difficult to understand. Food options have fresh sandwiches with an array of fillings and delicious entrees.

Had the hibiscus marg w/ mezcal. Fragrant and light smokiness, really refreshing. The Steak Frites was cooked really well despite some fatty pieces, crispy fries and great portion size. Salsa verde was slightly liquidy but still tasty.

Definitely recommend lunch here, bar seating is supreme.“
