“5 stars. The whole place felt bright and welcoming the moment I walked in, and the line moved fast without making you feel rushed. I’m not even kidding, I was craving something fresh and satisfying, and this hit perfectly.

I’m vegetarian, so I always check the menu first to make sure there’s actually good options and not just “plain salad” energy. The vegetarian bowl was amazing and tasted like it had real flavor built into it, not just toppings thrown on at the end. The staff were great about pointing me toward the best veggie-friendly picks, and you could tell they understood what people want when they come in hungry.

There was also a nice “build your own” style to it, so I could customize my order the way I like it. I ended up getting a mix of vibrant ingredients that felt crunchy, creamy, and tangy all at once. Honestly, it reminded me of why I like poke in the first place.

One funny moment from my experience: I tried to tell my friend what I ordered, and I spelled “avocado” wrong like a total gremlin. Also, I said “It was so good, I couldn’t even stop eating, so I ate faster” which is a weird sentence, but that’s exactly how it went. I kept thinking, how is this so fresh and balanced?

“I ordered the 3 piece fried chicken,cole slaw and biscuits.Overall the food was ok.The chicken wasn't the juiciest and didn't have much flavor.The coating was fried dark but little to no flavor.
The biscuits were ok but I didn't see option for butter or honey.The slaw was basic.“

There as another customer here at the same time who was “part of the meal plan” and was absolutely terrorizing the staff. She was extremely combative and unreasonable and immediately escalated to “reporting” the employees. “I stopped by Pokeworks and ordered the Yuzu Salmon on a bed of salad greens with the lava sauce, and it was so good. The salmon was fresh, the yuzu added a bright citrus flavor, and the lava sauce brought a serious kick. Fair warning, it is actually spicy. I grew up eating a lot of spicy food, so I loved it, but it may be a bit much if you’re sensitive to heat.

The staff was friendly and welcoming, and ordering was quick and easy since it’s counter service. There are a few tables if you want to dine in, and Spot Dessert Bar shares the space if you’re in the mood for dessert afterward. I’d definitely come back for another bowl.“

“I’ve been coming here for lunch about twice a week since it’s so close to my job, and it has become one of my regular go-to spots. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and they’ve gotten to the point where they recognize me when I walk in.

What I appreciate most is how warm the atmosphere feels every time I visit. Even when they’re busy, they still take a moment to chat, and I always end up exchanging a few jokes with the cashier while she’s juggling multiple orders.

“Had a fantastic lunch at El Ta’Koy at The Dominick. We sat on the terrace, and it was the perfect setting for a relaxing lunch on a beautiful day. The food was outstanding. My favorites were the Tuna & Caviar Taquitos, Popcorn Chicken and the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl. Each dish was fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully presented.

“I stopped in Epicerie Boulud WTC in August 2021. It has a great view of the Oculus. I got an almond croissant and a latte. Both were good. Unfortunately I spilled my latte all over. The staff lady was so kind. She got me another latte free of charge. Very kind. Another staff came with a mop to clean up the mess I had made. I would recommend Epicerie Boulud as a rest stop during a visit to the World Trade Center.“

“Amazing food and atmosphere! The portion sizes and ratios were balanced and you could taste how fresh everything was. My friends got the crabmeat with a variety of toppings and it was amazing. However, salmon has always been my favorite and I would say the salmon here is the best i’ve had so far. It was so buttery and tender. “The fried chicken here is insane! What a deal as well.

The pieces are gigantic and the sides are incredible. I'd recommend getting the fried chicken with the mac salad and at least 2 sauces. The umami scallion and the sweet chipotle soy is a combo that is out of this world.

The kimchi coleslaw is also great. If you're not feeling fried chicken, the huli huli chicken is also amazing. Tender juicy and well seasoned. I wish it was a tad juicier but can't complain, it comes with this amazing rice which makes for a great meal.

“I had an event at Aloha NYC Lounge. The Playa Ball 2018! WE HAD SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FUN!!!! We were treated like we've been doing business with this establishent for years, as opposed to first time clients! Mr. Bosch is extremely professional! When we were scouting out locations for our event, our first choice was an establishment in Brooklyn, NY, because it was closer and it already had that 70's look. Not much decoration, if any, would be needed. However, when we arrived to talk business, there were 3 patrons and the owner appeared to not have time to talk money. So, what he did was hand me a piece of paper with the rules and what they'd need from me, shook my hand and walked away. We jumped back in the car and headed to Aloha NYC! Walking in, you could see there was definitely an event going on. Still feeling slighted from the last place we sought out, I didn't have the confidence this would go any better, because THIS owner was obviously busy! Mr. Bosch had a rap showcase happening in the back room, and he was setting up for 2 more events that would take place that evening as well! Do you know that man took the time to talk to me about my event!?! No, it wasn't a rushed conversation! He wanted to know my vision for my event, then explained how having it at the Aloha NYC Lounge would work. That young man was spot on!!!!! It was great!!!!!! We had such a wonderful time, we've decided to have "The Playa's Ball 2019" at Aloha NYC also!!!!! The place is kept immaculate! The staff are very professional and friendly!
