“I was a regular here for more than ten years, and the food is genuinely some of the best around — the salmon wedge sandwich in particular is phenomenal. I want to be fair, because a place doesn’t earn that kind of loyalty by accident. But over the past year, the service changed. Every visit, the staff seemed angry and miserable, and even a quick four-minute transaction came with an attitude. That’s ultimately why I stopped coming. I still miss the food. I hope the team finds its way back to the warmth that used to match the quality of what comes out of that kitchen.“

Should have posted this a couple of weeks ago to let everyone know what an absolutely beautiful job they did with the delicious Woodland Creatures 1/2 sheet cake for my daughter’s baby shower! Wow! It was so moist and tasty, received so many compliments from the ladies. And you know we ladies love our cakes! The decorator created an over-the-top adorable woodland creatures design. Even the gluten free cupcakes were tasty and gorgeous. Kudos to the entire staff and owner. Everyone was so helpful and lovely. Would highly recommend this bakery when you want the best! They also take special orders. They are not dedicated gluten free but they offer a lot of gluten free options that are just as delicious as their other bakery items. “Literally the best Knafe in all of Paterson. Better than any other spot. Most authentic Knafe I've tasted in America. The most similar I've seen to this one was in Chicago. And I've tried plenty of Knafe in America.

Also their Znud Al Sit are amazing. I usually call in the morning to make an order by noon time for best results.“

“My family and I go here all the time to get cakes for any event! Every cake we have tried has been delicious. Also, they have the best lobster claw pastries I’ve ever had. The cream is rich and the pastry is so light and crunchy, and it even holds up great being stored in the fridge for a few days. I highly recommend this bakery!“

“Growing up, jelly donuts were at the bottom of my list in terms of flavors. I would eventually eat one, but it would be my last choice. A Polish coworker told me about how beloved jelly donuts are in Poland and I was skeptical of how good a jelly donut could be.

Then I found myself at Kohout Bakery and I've completely changed my tune, because damn, the raspberry jelly donuts are ridiculously good. It's the jelly. It's a very good jelly. It's not gummy or thick. It's full of raspberry flavor and there is plenty of the jelly in each donut. Even a couple of days after purchase, when the donut is a little stale, the donut is still so good because that jelly keeps the interior moist.

Other items in the store are also delicious, including the cream cheese cookies. They are not too sweet and have a great balance of flavors.

The service is very friendly and helpful, always patient with me and my indecisions.

Be prepared to bring cash, but the prices are also very affordable, so you can still get plenty of treats for under $10.
