“This place is a NYC gem. The people on here giving one star reviews don’t get Sullivan (or food) and have also just decided to purposely get their knickers in a twist. Everything is sourdough based. So, no, Italian tourist, it won’t taste like a run-of-the-mill croissant. It’ll be different (and in many cases better). You don’t think they have enough bread? They sell out because they bake small batch. It’s not Whole Foods. Ingredients are absolutely top notch which is why you feel zero bloat from this food. “I don't usually write long Google reviews, but after attending a buddy’s wedding in North Jersey recently, I had to drop one for this place.
Honestly, I’m not even a big cake guy, but the dessert setup at the reception caught my attention right away. They had this huge, multi-tiered custom wedding cake that looked awesome really clean work, not over the top, just super high quality. My wife and I were actually talking about how great it looked before they even cut into it.
When we finally got our slices, I expected the usual wedding cake thing: looks great, tastes like dry cardboard or straight sugar. But man, this thing was actually insane. Super moist, fresh, and tasted legit. I finished mine in about two minutes and ended up grabbing half of my wife’s slice too. It was so good I walked over to the groom during the party just to ask where they got it. He told me they had it custom designed at D’era House.
Finding a cake designer around North Jersey that makes something that actually tastes as good as it looks is pretty rare. I saved their info on my phone right then and there for our next family event.
If you’re looking for a solid wedding cake designer, custom made tiered cakes, or custom event cakes in Clifton or anywhere in the area, D’era House is 100% the real deal. Props to the baker! 💍🍰💪“

“Absolutely loved my experience at La Farine. We came in for lunch and ended up staying for hours because the atmosphere was so warm and inviting. By the time it started getting darker and the candles came out, the whole place felt incredibly cozy.

I tried the tuna sandwich, chocolate tart, raspberry cake, and apple tart, and everything was genuinely delicious. The tuna sandwich was fresh and so satisfying, and the chocolate tart was probably one of my favorites rich, indulgent, and seriously hard to stop eating. The raspberry cake was beautifully balanced, and the apple tart was just as good. The drinks were amazing too.

This has quickly become one of those places I keep recommending to everyone. The food, service, and atmosphere all make you want to stay a little longer. I already can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu. Such a gem. 🤍“

“The best Persian sweets ever!!! Faranak Joon is the owner and she created the most beautiful Sofreh Haftseen for my wedding. She made sure everything was perfect, she showed up extra early and she is not the type of person to cancel even if an emergency comes up on your wedding day. “This is our favorite cookie shop in the Upper West Side and it’s not even close. We live right around the corner and come here several times a week for warm, freshly made cookies with a crispy outside and warm and perfect inside. The employees must have been selected from the kindest people in NYC and Nadirah in particular is a ray of sunshine whenever we see her. The sweetness of the cookies is just right, not too much and not too little.

This place is better in my opinion than Levain, which is too sweet and over the top, and waaaaay better than the horrible Crumbl, that has no flavor and is just a pound of pure sugar and shortening.

Give Chip City a try! We slept on it for a couple of years and then walked in one night on a whim and we have been hooked ever since. Also if you come here often the counter staff will know you and the loyalty program is pretty generous.“
