Burger Restaurants near Garwood

“This is rough for me to write as I too, whole heartedly take these reviews very seriously. I really wanted to like Wonder, but our first experience was extremely disappointing. We waited almost hour for our food, and for at least 30 minutes we were repeatedly told it was “just being wrapped up and boxed” and would be out “any minute.” Unfortunately, that wasn’t true.

When we asked to cancel our order, the employee at the front repeatedly delayed helping us. She said she needed to get a manager, but instead of doing so, she continued telling us the food would be out soon. It felt like she was avoiding the situation rather than addressing it.

Once the manager finally came out, he was polite, apologetic, and professional. However, we still had to interact with the front employee, whose attitude came across as sarcastic, dismissive, and rude. We also witnessed her responding similarly to other customers. One customer was upset about his order, and she told him he should have used DoorDash. She also told multiple people, “You don’t have to wait 45 minutes—you can take a walk,” which only added to customers’ frustration.

It’s unfortunate that this was our first visit, especially because we brought family who were visiting from out of town. The food may be good, but the customer service and communication left a very poor first impression. I hope management provides additional customer service training so future guests have a better experience.

We never got to try the food but I didn’t feel right about giving you less stars, that seemed really unfair as I’m sure you’re all working so hard.“

“Wendy's is absolutely my favorite fast food restaurant! Compared to McDonald's & Burger King, Wendy's has a better menu and by far the freshest salads, burgers & fries. The baked potato and chili is something you will not find at the other places.
Another plus is the Garwood location is a newer building and their staff is friendly and very efficient. Definitely deserves a visit.“

“Burger is OK, but I just ordered a flash burger, which has a fried egg. Specifically asked them not to over fry the egg . And they do exactly what I ask him not to do. If you’re gonna put an egg on a burger like that, you might as well scramble it if you don’t know what over easy means. Definitely don’t waste your money if you want an egg on the burger. Because they definitely don’t make it right.“

“Great service from Doordash and nice job of getting the food to the customer so that's it hot. My fries were seasoned beautifully and the smashburger did not disappoint one bit. Just pure awesome food and it really lived up to the hype. Will be ordering from here again without any hesitation!!!!!“

“I am celiac. They were quick to assure me that they take many precautions when preparing a burger on a gluten free bun. They said they had only one dedicated person working the separate gluten free station in the kitchen and pulled the worker aside in front of me to tell them it was an allergy order.

Fries are in a shared fryer so I couldn’t have them but it was so nice to have a good burger option! The bun was really soft but also didn’t crumble at all. Would recommend!“

“I was very impressed with the selection of food and drinks, particularly the salads and the quality of the fast food options, The mustard and the sauce on the wagyu burger were both delicious. I also truly enjoyed the outdoor dining area, which was perfect for the weather. Additionally, the service I received was excellent.The only challenge I encountered was the parking, which was quite difficult to find during the early dinner rush on a Saturday night. I will certainly recommend to others that they visit during less busy times if they want to avoid the parking crowds.“

“Stopped in for a late night dinner with my son the food is always good my order wasn’t completely correct but I did like the basil on my french fries I’ll have to do that again sometimes it’s hard to understand people through these plexi glass walls we now live with, well there wasn’t a garbage can available the employee to take my garbage and I appreciate that the sign on the soda fountain to ask for a new cup for refills was a nice add.“

“Stopped in for lunch at 30 Burgers, and let me tell you… hunger was making executive decisions before I even hit the counter. Thankfully, Angelina stepped in like a burger whisperer, helping me make my election—yes, election… because choosing between those burgers deserves its own campaign season—and placed my order with patience, warmth, and a smile.

The service was fast, friendly, and refreshingly human. Angelina made the experience easy and welcoming, which is becoming rarer than a perfectly cooked medium burger.

And the food? Let’s just say my burger disappeared faster than my willpower at a dessert menu. Fresh, flavorful, and worth every bite.

“The Livingston CARS restaurant was small, but it was clean and quiet. The staff was very friendly and chatted with us a little bit before we left. We ordered take-out, and everything was well-packaged and clearly labeled so it was easy to sort out the items for our family members. The food was delicious and filling. We will definitely be ordering from here again.“

“RS Pizza Bites is just excellent. I've tried pizza from many of the well-known pizza chains across New Jersey, but RS Pizza Bites stands out as my favorite. “Oh, this is one of my most favorite places for a cheeseburger. To be honest, the don't look like much, but they taste so amazing. The French fries are also really good - I like to get them well done so they are crispy.

There is a Barnes and Nobel across the street. Behind White Diamond is Tarantella's, which always gets great reviews, so come and make a day of it!

Parking: Limited number of spots, bit usually enough.

Kid-friendliness: Only a few booths, but usually enough. Very kid-friendly food.“

“There’s plenty of parking here because it’s a plaza. They’re open until very late so it’s super convenient.

I started coming here because I love the Linden location. Their food here however, isn’t that good. I don’t know what it is.

They added games to this location which is super fun! So I would recommend bringing families here to play board games and eat good food.

I personally love their cheese burger with pepper jack instead & seasoned fries with a strawberry milkshake. Their chipotle mayo is sooo good.“

“Shake shack has really good burgers and shakes. I had a single shack burger with cheese fries and a cookie shake. I enjoyed every bit. They have self ordering which takes away from the customer service aspect but they also have a register if you have cash. My food took about 10min. It wasnt that many ppl working they were nice when handing me my food. Place looked clean. U can dine in or out. They have a patio and plenty of parking.“

“Smashburger is always a solid choice when you’re craving a good burger. The burgers are juicy, flavorful, and made fresh to order. There are a lot of different options to choose from.. so it’s easy to find something you’ll like or even try something new. The smash technique really gives the patties that nice crispy edge while still staying tender inside. The fries are just as good - especially the smash fries with seasoning.. and everything comes out hot and fresh. The staff were friendly and the service was quick, which made the overall experience even better. Definitely a go to spot if you want something quick but still really satisfying.“

“This is the best Halal food chain located in Edison. The food is always made fresh and served piping hot. The fried chicken both spicy and regular tastes really good. My daughter loves the popcorn chicken. We also love the new orleans style chicken, spicy chicken skewers and spicy chicken sandwiches. 10/10 taste. “First time visiting! Got a 3 piece chicken with fries and roll. Pretty tasty really! Chicken fried well and seasoned . Bread was so fresh and so was my chocolate cake dessert. Big slice of cake too for serving. I used the drive thru which was really slow but I heard high compliments so I waited. They take all form of payments which is great! They have plenty condiments in my bag with utensils and napkins. Price was reasonable for this economy shockingly . Young man server was nice and remembered my order by heart.

“I was recently in New Jersey for a concert and staying at a hotel for a few nights. My friend and I were looking for a quick bite to eat nearby. We decided to go to this place on a whim and it turned out to be one of the best decisions ever. The atmosphere was incredible. Everyone in there was so cool and the bartender was fantastic and very helpful. She recommended the Jack Daniels burger so we both went with it. When I tell you we both dreamed about this burger for our entire trip. We ended up going back to this place two more times. It was such a great local place with great people.
