“We’ve lived in Gloucester for 4 years and never tried this place. Husband and I went for a date night/celebrate my new job and we were very impressed! The decor is adorable. The owner caught me taking pictures of the bar, and he gave me some history on it, the tin ceiling tiles, the vintage light fixtures, and the history of the building. I had a chocolate martini that was delicious, husband had a Manhattan. We shared calamari and crème brûlée, and we both got the special of filet mingon topped with a crab cake. Everything was perfect and delicious. Our server was was also 10/10. I had no idea this little gem was just a few blocks away from our house. Didn’t even have to get in the car! We will absolutely be back. Would love to try some other things on the menu. Was so pleasantly surprised a place like this exists in this area. A true diamond in the rough!“

“Food was excellent as usual. Stacy, our server, was awesome. She had the bar make us our favorite drink - a take on the Bohemian! It was delicious! We were sat next to a large work group - it was fine - but it was a birthday celebration for my husband - just the 2 of us - and it was a little noisy. I should have asked for a quiet corner. All in all, capital grill is our favorite restaurant- top notch.“

“We went on a Saturday night as a group of seven to celebrate my husbands birthday. Even with a reservation, we waited about 40 minutes to be seated because the place was very packed. Once we were seated, and we enjoyed great service, the food was spectacular and everything just fell into place. We really enjoyed this place. We will definitely be coming back for another celebration or dinner. We highly recommend it and highly recommend that you make a reservation before you go.“

“Omg I forgot to rate this wonderful restaurant, I came here late on my birthday 3 wks ago unfortunately;due to Amazon delivering my outfit all late. So by the time we got dressed & had to get the babies ready. We didn't get to restaurant until about an hour b/4 they closed unfortunately. And the waitress was so nice, top tier customer service. We stayed until the last customer was about to leave so I told hubby to ask for doggy bags because I don't wanna be here while they're cleaning and be still eating because I know when I'm at work and it's time to close I don't want no customer staying late running me late to get home to my family lol. So she was so nice no attitude or anything and she was surprised we asked for a doggy bag and hurried up packed food up and paid and left. We made sure to give a big tip too because she deserved that!!! She probably thought we was gonna stay until we finish last bite. No we hate those type of folks lol. We will always come to this restaurant (much earlier of course.) Very professional and clean restaurant. Just amazing 💯 Thank you so much!!“

“I had an amazing meal at this restaurant! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. We started off with the ribeye pinwheels appetizer, and they were a real treat—perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. For the main course, I went with the ribeye with mashed potatoes, and it was fantastic. The steak was so tender and juicy, and the mashed potatoes were creamy and flavorful, a great match for the ribeye. My friend had the filet mignon with a house salad, and it was cooked perfectly too. The filet was so tender and full of flavor, and the salad was fresh and crisp.

Everything came out just as we hoped—cooked to perfection and full of flavor. It was a great dining experience, and I can’t wait to come back and try more dishes from the menu!“

“Just got back from Kunkel’s for a double wedding anniversary celebration of ours and our son’s. It was a very enjoyable evening with excellent food and excellent service. Our two granddaughters came with us, and they instantly settled comfortably, thanks for the personal care tended by Denise, our server. We love this place for its unhurried atmosphere and for its timeless Americana ambience.“

“I had my first visit on Saturday in March. I had walked there from the Kimmel... Center City Philly location. It's expensive... But the food is very tasty. The staff are happy to see you, and pretty helpful figuring out what's coming. The rice on the buffet was a 12. They need to have a better idea where reasonable parking is. “Where to even begin with this place!!!! To start our evening we had a corporate event planned downstairs in their private vault. At 4p myself and colleagues started to arrive to set up. We were greated by an employee Drew who was just arriving to work offer to help carry in all our materials. He was then greated and helped by another door man. As we made it past the door the manager was super nice and she started to give me the run down. These two men carried bins and bags of materials down a flight of stairs and to our location so we didnt have to do any of that. I waa then greated by Liz and Victoria from the Sales team who made magic happen. Allowing us additional space to accommodate a special photo booth for our guests. Then came Ben! The star of the night. Ben the lead server for our event and Jeremy his second in command were nothing short of awesome. Every detail taken care of. The staff here hustled for hours so we could pull off an amazing event. Everything went so well my husband and I decided after the event we would go upstairs to a table and have a quiet dinner with juat us 2. Our server Gabrielle didnt disappoint either. This was hands down one of the best nights professionally for sure and personally gave my husband and I some time to come down from the excitement from event and eat a great meal before ending our night. We will be back for sure.“

“Dined here on Valentine’s Day weekend and snagged a super late reservation (10:30pm). Felt super guilty about it but tried to go in with low expectations and as prepared as possible to make this smooth for everyone.

We arrived and our host informed us there would be a small wait (understandably) but offered for us water and to checkout the bar downstairs. (We already had reservations for a later date there)

We were seated shortly after and I cannot tell you how AWESOME our server Casey was. (I hope that’s how his name is spelled if not I’m SO sorry 😢). As mentioned we were pretty certain about what we wanted and intended on making this a very cut and dry experience for the sake of everyone getting home safe and enjoying their night as much as us, but he was such a warm and welcoming spirit.

I was concerned about the Mac and cheese being too heavy but he encouraged I get it to accompany the Pork Tomahawk we got. Everything came promptly and again, everyone was so sweet in a very compromising and normally chaotic circumstance.“

“Food was good and priced reasonably. Staff friendly and service was quick. Parking was bad though, couldn't find anything close by. Ended up just parking across the street where it said Truck loading/unloading only and went in to grab the order. This appears to be what most people are doing too.

Restroom is down the hall, take the elevator down to the basement, and to your left. You can get the code from the security guard on the first floor.“

“I went to this, the City Ave location, and it was great! I had the salmon Caesar salad, and I absolutely loved it! It was fresh and delectable. And my server, Aiden (I think that was his name; handsome young man with locs), was the best! He was attentive, helpful and offered great suggestions! “Ate here two nights in a row. Excellent NY steak and even better ribeye. Both perfectly cooked. Turnips and carrots were great—-apple saucy and the broccolini was delicious but a bit too al dente both nights (chef's preference I presume). Here's the kicker! Outstanding , maybe the all time BEST Caesar salad.“
