“After discovering the restaurant in March, I had to return for my birthday in August. So my husband and I made the 3-hour drive to Philly just so I could eat at Monster Vegan twice in one day. The food was consistently delicious. I could eat the eggrolls and tacos every day. The service was wonderfully inviting. The vibe is great during the day but the evening totally elevates it. I’m also thankful for their mocktail menu is just as creative as the rest of their drink menu and not just a spirit-free mojito. It’s my favorite restaurant and will gladly make the trek to Philly again just to visit Monster Vegan.“

“Dinner at @pietramela was absolutely divine — elevated vegan dining that puts plants on a pedestal 🌿✨ Every dish was plant-forward, flavor-packed, and rich without being heavy. Most ingredients are organic and locally sourced — and you can taste the quality and care in every bite. We started with the beet salad — sweet, creamy, bright, and crisp with a lovely herby note from fresh dill. The cucumber dish was pure umami: tamari, vinegar, creamy tofu, crispy fried tofu skin, green onion, and seaweed. So fresh and so layered. My hubby had the eggplant — smoky, rich, with a perfect hint of spice. I had the broccoli, slow-stewed to a risotto-like texture. Deeply comforting, totally decadent. No artificial vegan meats here — just thoughtful, beautifully prepared veggies. “Dottie’s Donuts are the best donuts in Philadelphia. I’ll take the Pepsi Challenge to the crap they sell at Dunkin and I’d pick Dottie’s every single time. They’re quite possibly the greatest donuts in the state of Pennsylvania, which would immediately place them in the state national treasure donut contest. And once Florida is disqualified for not wearing mask, Dottie’s would see the highest standings in the runnin' for greatest donuts, worldwide. Yeah. That good.“

“Came for espresso and sat at the espresso bar. All the gentlemen at the bar were pleasant to chat with. The espresso tasted great. It’s roasted in house and the quality of the espresso machine makes the 5 star quality beverage. True Italian experience.“

“I eat here a lot and love it! The food is delicious, all organic, wholegrain and 95% vegan. And…it’s super cheap. And their containers and plastic wear are all compostable. If you are lucky you might be in time to get an excellent $.99 muffin. They make juices, always have 1 or 2 soups, a daily special as well as a veggie burger, tacos, and totally customizable bowls and salads. They sell kombucha by the ounce-bring in your growler. The service is usually very fast and the upstairs dining area gives a great view of shoppers. Plus there is free wifi and outlets to charge up. My favorite is the jammed yam.“

“While visiting the city that I grew up in there has always been an abundance of restaurants to eat, look no further than Mabu Kitchen. The atmosphere of this cozy cornerstone in washing square will have you taste buds going wild. The burgers are a cooked exceptionally well with a fluffy pillow of a seeded bun…..it’s mouth watering. Then on the side, of course they have fries but the salads they provided were also a timeless palate refresher between burger bites. Highly recommend, the staff are very attentive, kind, and welcoming. It all ties in with the atmosphere of the place. They take attention to detail seriously and it shows in the way their food is cooked, plated, and served. Well done Mabu Kitchen, I’ll be seeing you for brunch as well.“

“We got there for an early dinner Saturday afternoon and immediately got a table. We put orders in and we’re fast served. The food was very delicious and well done. Good presentation, the server was very professional, ambient was clean and a pleasant music in the back. Good location on Drexel Campus. Easy to park on the streets.“
