Only 2 of us at the table as a 3rd customer left after eating salad and soup because he didn't want to wait. My wife and I had appetizers which filled the gap of the wait. Top three best restaurant experiences I’ve had in life. This restaurant has all the elements to achieve a standard-bearer of the best restaurant in the city and, potentially, qualify for the national league standing. The service is at the elite private club level; ambience is rightly detailed; music level and style meets you at the right notes.

One dish specifically, Black Pearl Mushrooms, moved and touched me where I could not bring myself to drink a glass of water because I didn’t want the flavor to disappear from my taste buds.

Focaccia bread set you on the right to have a great meal.

The meal finished with the peanut butter dessert. The chocolate is very well done. It is strong enough to hold its form yet it is delicate enough to melt in your mouth in such a way that coats the light peanut butter mousse creating an amplifying effect.

Biggest tip: get the tasting menu - yes, it is worth and yes, you will regraded if you dont go for it.“

His knowledge and passion for the food is exceptional. He certainly made the experience one to remember. The Dorade was amazing, the skirt steak also incredible. The brown sugar ice cream is 10/10. Not a single thing hit our table that we weren’t 100% impressed with. The after dinner drink he suggested was perfect. Monte negro or something I can’t remember but it’s wonderful. The paste of nuts under the golden beats were a refreshing new type of dish I'd never seen in this type of cuisine. “Great Sports Bar! Plenty of TVs in their main bar area and both dinning rooms. I would absolutely recommend you get the burger. It was packed full of greens, with the lettuce sauteed onions and grilled eggplant, but balanced it nicely with a big meaty patty and delicious house sauce. The fries were also exceptional, potentially double fried and thick cut, these steak fries were crispy and the perfect compliment to the burger. Staff was friendly and attentive and the neighborhood was cute!“

The menu is clearly marked with gluten-free options, making ordering easy. Our server asked about allergies upfront and was confident handling the request when we noted my partner has Celiac (we mentioned it as a gluten allergy to the staff). We ordered the seared duck leg confit and the steak au poivre, and both were excellent. My partner had no symptoms the following day. We did not ask specific questions about shared kitchen space, but the clear labeling and great atmosphere made for an excellent dinner.“

“Gran Caffe L’Aquila has a beautiful atmosphere and some genuinely excellent products. The latte was expertly made with gorgeous latte art, and both the coffee and gelato were absolutely delicious. You can tell they take pride in the quality of what they serve.
Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the food and drinks. Most of the staff came across as dismissive and unfriendly, which took away from what could have been a wonderful experience.
The only one exception to this was Luca, who was welcoming, professional, genuinely kind, and knowledgeable. He made us feel appreciated as guests and stood out in the best way possible.
At the end of the day, hospitality is about making people feel welcome.
The rest of the team could certainly take note. If the level of service matched the quality of the coffee and gelato, this would easily be a five-star experience.“

Ordered a philly, but it was the huge one you find youtube reviews on. It had pastrami, mushroom, cheese, onions, and brisket on a warm toasted loaf. Sandwich was huge! Split it with my husband and we didnt even finish half of our half.
Cant wait to go back and try more the next time I'm in NJ.
