“My turkey wings were great and full of flavor. My cabbage not so much. It tasted like they're was no seasoning at on the cabbage. The mac and cheese could've been a little better but it wasn't that bad. My husband's friend chicken was very delicious and his yams were also good. I would definitely try this place again.“

“For the most part, I really liked this restaurant. Here's why: Because of the food. What did I get? I ordered the Chicken Wing Platter, which comes with four fried whole chicken wings, and two sides. I got baked macaroni & cheese, and collard greens. I also ordered a side of candied yams. Although I'd like to see more wings, I have to say they were some of the best fried chicken wings I've ever had. You know when a wing is so good, that you not only find yourself eating the drumette & wingette, but also the tip? Yup, that was me. They're that good. The accompanying sides were also quite good; and that's a plus, because far too often one might order the same sides from various soul food joints, and find them wanting. What else good can I say? The portion size. They too, get five stars in the food category because of the portion sizes in relation to the cost. I paid a total of $23.76, and I got two meals out of it (albeit minus leftover wings). If I can eat for two days off of a good meal for $25 bucks, I'm good. Besides that, the customer service is meh...but what can one expect? It's not a deal breaker. The atmosphere, not bad; I enjoy a quaint, small-business in the community. So, yes, I do recommend making this a go-to soulfood spot for a nice home cooked meal. bon appétit!“
