“This cute little cafe is my new favorite spot! I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. Although I got take out, this eat in cafe was very clean and nicely decorated. The pretty young girl with the head wrap that took my order was very friendly and greeted me with a smile. I had the combo bang bang shrimp and chicken wing platter with Mac & cheese and yummy yams. The shrimps were big and delicious. The wings were very crispy and had a decent flavor without any sauce. The Mac & Cheese was pretty good too. I also tried the pepper steak over white rice that my daughter got and that was really good too! I think I’ll get the pepper steak next time.“

“I didn't get to taste the food because one of her workers had a bad attitude. When dealing with the public professionalism is a must. I could have referred a lot of people that don't know it's there. Your tea was very good and I hope your service gets better. A vegetarian platter would be nice also.“

Low and behold he opened a resteraunt/catering. I’ve had him cater a baby shower, funeral and graduation party. I’ve had attendees ask who did the cooking and I can’t praise them enough. Delivered on time hot and ready. Having a cousins family reunion Saturday and who did we call Mylestone…thank you for all the many years of great food, exceptional service. “My turkey wings were great and full of flavor. My cabbage not so much. It tasted like they're was no seasoning at on the cabbage. The mac and cheese could've been a little better but it wasn't that bad. My husband's friend chicken was very delicious and his yams were also good. I would definitely try this place again.“

Easy contactless pickup during the pandemic! “Some of the best chicken I have had in a long time! we got a whole chicken and sides, as well as some chicken tenders!! Very tasty - especially the tenders!! The place was unusually quiet for a friday night - we were the only patrons all night! There was also a corkage fee (a price to bring our own beers). NOT COOL!!“

I ordered the Chicken Wing Platter, which comes with four fried whole chicken wings, and two sides. I got baked macaroni & cheese, and collard greens. I also ordered a side of candied yams. Although I'd like to see more wings, I have to say they were some of the best fried chicken wings I've ever had. You know when a wing is so good, that you not only find yourself eating the drumette & wingette, but also the tip? Yup, that was me. They're that good. The accompanying sides were also quite good; and that's a plus, because far too often one might order the same sides from various soul food joints, and find them wanting. What else good can I say? The portion size. They too, get five stars in the food category because of the portion sizes in relation to the cost. I paid a total of $23.76, and I got two meals out of it (albeit minus leftover wings). If I can eat for two days off of a good meal for $25 bucks, I'm good. Besides that, the customer service is meh...but what can one expect? It's not a deal breaker. The atmosphere, not bad; I enjoy a quaint, small-business in the community. So, yes, I do recommend making this a go-to soulfood spot for a nice home cooked meal. bon appétit!“

“5 star experience and service. I was very excited to come to this black owned restaurant in Philadelphia. It was me and my partner 2 year anniversary so we thought we would enjoy the live Jazz show as well. As soon as we walked it we were greeted with by warm smiling faces which made us feel very welcome. The ambience was amazing and decor was very unique We arrive about 30 minutes before the show and headed over to the bar to grab a drink before the show , the cocktails were very good and the bartender was very friendly and attentive. The bar is very small , all the seats were taken so we had to stand. Once we were seated in the jazz lounge area by our waiter he suggested somethings and went over the specials. We started off with the devil eggs and cornbread. For our entrees I had the Fried Chicken and my partner had the prime rib. Everything came out quickly and at the perfect temperature. The manager, host, waiter, and the band were phenomenal. They were even nice enough to give us a shout out and complementary dessert for our anniversary. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone. The hospitality here is exceptional.“
