“Have had dinner there several times with friends and everyone has always been most complimentary of meals served. I have personally enjoyed the shrimp and scallops as well as stuffed flounder. Also ordered for take out catering trays of chicken and penne vodka for a family event which were wonderful. Great place with a strong menu and terrific meals. Also ordered several catered dinners for my family including chicken Marcella and penne vodka.“

“Absolutely love love love this restaurant. Every thing was delicious! this place is old school Italian. I had linguine Bolognese and it came out in this huge white bowl. I couldn’t stop eating it. It tastes like the bolognese I had in Rome.The staff are excellent and on top of it. Very friendly. We were very well taken care of. And I absolutely loved the piano player. “Usually while staying in AC we will stay at a different hotel- but we tried Lascalas one night being that it is a local to us name. I will come back to Lascalas fire in AC as we have multiple times and now more in the future. The reason being the amazing service we got at the fun and welcoming bar that we wanted to enjoy football at. During our meal- which was amazing- Ana -our bartender was absolutely the reason while we will keep coming back. Ana took the time to make recommendations, make the best drinks and managed a busy bar without any help other than her team mate Chris the bar back. “Lots of Italian restaurants in South Jersey, but Allora stands out. The fact that it is combined with Nene has taken it to another level with the ability to order woodfired pizzas and have a really bright open beautiful dining experience. First you are given bread that comes out of that wood fire oven, some with tomato sauce on them and served with their homemade basil aïoli. We have tried multiple appetizers over the years and all of them are delicious, we try our hardest not to order them and save room for dessert, but that always fails because the appetizers are so delicious. Don’t miss the Caesar salad and the portion is absolutely large enough for two people. If you were getting Parmesan style anything, it is delicious here because the way they fry the items keeps them extremely crispy and not greasy and their tomato sauce is second to none in all of New Jersey. Seafood is very good here, they have a great tuna dish, and I am a sucker for their spicy shrimp and crab. When we do save room for dessert, their choices are always very interesting and over the years more have turned to being homemade so don’t miss the lemon cake and tiramisu. I can go on and on about the food, but then I wouldn’t have room to mention their friendly and tenured staff and owner that are always welcoming and have a passion for what they do. Their location in Marlton on Main Street also has a very nice private room for events.“

“First visit was for a baby shower so we had a set menu. I had a perfectly cooked salmon, and my mom had eggplant parm, which was also excellent. Service was great. But I think my favorite was the tiramisu 😋“

“Updated to previous review: The food is still pretty good but today, the service was a very disappointing experience from start to finish. Before the driver even arrived at my apartment, she called and made it pretty clear that she had no intention of bringing my order upstairs, mentioning that it would probably take her two trips. I ultimately had to come downstairs and get my own food.

The restaurant is only two traffic lights away from me. If I wanted to get dressed, come downstairs, and retrieve my own food, I could have just picked it up myself. The entire reason I paid for delivery was to have my order delivered to my door.

On top of that, the extra shrimp I requested was missing. When I contacted the restaurant, the owner didn’t apologize or show any concern. Instead, I was told that I “wasn’t charged for it anyway” and that I didn’t tip the driver. Neither of those responses addresses the poor service. Whether I was charged for the missing shrimp or not, I requested it and expected my order to be correct to feed the amount of people I was serving. And a tip does not determine whether a delivery driver should actually complete the delivery. It’s already a $3.00 delivery fee added and $2.50 charge for the use of credit card, and I spent $81 for my entire order.

Overall, the customer service was dismissive and the delivery experience defeated the entire purpose of ordering delivery. I won’t be ordering from here again.“

“We have had the most delicious gourmet pizzas from this place (Buffalo and The Works) Also, their chicken wings with the mild wing sauce is the right amount of tangy and spicy. My husband says, " it's the best wing sauce he's ever had!" Highly recommend!“
