“We just had the best meal here! My partner and I had planned on going elsewhere but we got there after 8pm and didn't have a reservation, so the wait was going to be an hour. We walked over to Wm. Mulherin's Sons and they got us a table in about 15 minutes. We proceeded to have one of the best meals I've had in a while! Starters: the octopus was crispy but succulent and the focaccia was pillowy perfection! Cocktails were excellent. The sausage pizza had a wonderful mix of flavors and the crust!! ? I could have eaten the pizza crust on its own, honestly. Thick and chewy on the edges and perfectly done throughout. We also shared a seasonal pasta with ramps, morels, peas, and asparagus, and got the chocolate mousse cake and gelato for dessert, which were heavenly. They go above and beyond in their service and the quality and creativity of the food. You can taste just how much passion there is in this tiny little spot. “Yesterday was my first time at Mare Monte and I have to say I was very impressed. My family chose this place for our Easter dinner. From start to finish, it was amazing! Our server, Mindy, was very friendly and super knowledgeable about the food. She even made my great-aunt laugh which is tough to do! I had the Pappardelle Cavatore pasta and the homemade cheesecake. “Today our daughter celebrated her birthday at an escape room in Collingswood. While trying to figure out where to eat afterwards, the host recommended Cafe Antonio's. We were politely greeted by the hostess who arranged tables to accommodate our large party. While being seated, the owner, Aaron asked us if we were celebrating a birthday. We said yes, it's our daughter's birthday. Much to our surprise, Aaron came back 15 minutes later with a beautiful birthday cake for our daughter. We were extremely touched by his generosity and thoughtfulness. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding!! “Really like this cafe. My main criticism is that I find it inconsistent. I've been a few times by now, and love that many of their pastries change every week. Overall, they taste good, but the proofed goods consistently have a yeasty after taste in my opinion. I enjoy their breakfast sandwich as well, but on some weekends it is cooked better than others. Ice cream 10/10. Flavors are awesome and texture truly is the one of Italian ice cream. If you think of visiting with small children/stroller know it is possible but the space is small and might feel too busy on a weekend.“
“Just like Nona’s kitchen. The Scipelle soup is incredibly delicious. Perfect. This menu item, which is a very rare find, is a cherished dish here and Fiene’s rendition is the definitive preparation. I’ve been coming here for years to reconnect with my family roots through this soup and the recipe has not changed.You will not find better. Period.A major hit menu item was the Zuppa Inglese. This is not an Italian specialty dessert many may recognize. I’ve NEVER seen this on a menu before and I’m so glad I spotted it on the Holiday menu. Zuppa Inglese is an Italian Trifle dessert, similar in assembly to Tiramisu (which is also a menu star here). I hadn’t had this dish since the family holiday dinners of my youth. Curious how this found its way onto the menu I was informed that a matriarchal family member made this to order in advance at a the request of a good customer. Time consuming to prepare several of these were made and I was the beneficiary of a most wonderful accommodation.The folks at Fiene’s are family. They are “family” to the restaurant and to their guests as everyone here takes an ownership attitude. You will eat well. You will be treated well, like valued family members.I cannot say enough about the satisfaction of a Fiene’s experience.“

It’s obvious the chef is passionate about his menu and the quality of what’s coming out of the kitchen. My cousin and I were heading to a diner a few doors down as we were starving, but their menu didn't have what we were looking for, so we went for pizza at this pizzaria. La Piovra (Italian for "The Octopus") is more than a pizza place; it has delicious Italian dishes. We ordered mussels in the chef's special sauce that's better than the traditional red & white sauces. We had European seabass called "branzino"; the meat had a sweet taste with few bones. Of course, we also ordered a pizza with truffle cheese, which we didn't finish, so we packed it for his kids. For dessert, we had tiramisu. Because we were the ones there that late Thursday evening, we got to speak with the chef and his wife. They're overseeing the restaurant for the owner. They speak Italian fluently and from Albania. Absolutely amazing chef and super delicious food. I highly recommend this gem. On some Fridays and the weekends, there's a live band performing in Italian.Parking: There's a small parking lot in front of the restaurant but we parked on the street, for free. There are paid street parking adjacent to the businesses.“

My favorite meal has been osso buco. I also like the different chicken or veal options over a choice of pasta service with soup or salad. I always get the soup. Their minestrone is very good. My meals have been usually good to great with the exception of my last visit when I got Chicken Maximo serve with old ruddy small asparagus pieces and a watery tomatoe based sauce. I will skip that in the future.“
