“Had to give it a try, heard good things. Cheesesteak is worth the trip. Pizza is good, it's good pizza. I like a thinner crust but that's my personal choice. Quality ingredients . The chicken parm is tasty. I love the seeded rolls, takes it up a level. This is a 15 min drive from my house and will make the trip for the delicious cheesesteak . Called the order in route and everything was ready when I got there. Pricing was good. Sandwiches big enough to share.“
“Love this place, and the people in it. My go to for Italian food. Fried Calamari is awesome, the pizza cheese steak is good, recently I discover the roast beef with the Au Jus gravy ?.The side of meatball is great too. Basically you won't be disappointed.“
“This restaurant is beautiful and very clean!!!!! Very realx atmosphereEmployees are very friendly taking food orders, and food is very clean and delicious ? I was trying to upload a picture of how beautiful this restaurant is inside, it didn't give me the option to upload. But anyhow, food is very very clean, smells amazing walking in, omg I'm in love with this restaurant and they have a TV for sport showings, came in and they had sports on! Woop!!! 5 star place“
“Bought Wings, and a pizza (specifically a white pizza.) The wings were very good and meaty, the sauce was hot without being overbearing. The wings it should be noted were naked wings. We didn't specify for naked or regular. The pizza was good, and the garlic sauce they put on was excellent. The crust has a nice flavor and it's not too greasy. The only knock I have was the cheese. It's not as stretchy or as tasty as you would expect. That's not to say it was bad just not as good as other shops in the area. This was our first time in.Regardless I'm going back for more!It is under new management, and they have a new expanded menu.“
“Little dim dining area but spacious enough. Servers are great made shure we had all we needed. Even brought my daughter a pencil to do their activity sheet they gave her. Food as normal fanominal home made sauce is out of this world not that card board box pizza shop for shure.“
“This is the third LaScala restaurant I've been too and it's my absolute favorite. Same menu as Marlton location, but a much better vibe. Not as industrial feeling or loud. Loved that people could stop in here for a nice meal with friends and family or after walking the park! Great job!“
“We have lived a block away for the past five years and always were curious with how busy it was. We went for a large family dinner and we realized why it's always busy. The vibe is amazing. Lots of big parties celebrating birthdays. Great spot to bring the youngest and oldest. The food is great, service is fantastic. And just a really nice spot“
“Went here with friends and had a great time. Loved the Korean gochujang wings. They were so crispy and the texture was great; not to mention the sauce is addictive. I got the smash burger and added long hots—it was delicious! Their fries are also super crispy. The cocktails were also very good. I can’t wait to come back.Vegetarian options: The menu is all vegan. So happy to have a place with so many options. We also met some non-vegans there who were also trying them for the first time and they loved it.“
“If you’ve been to Italy and want a reminder of how delicious the food is, you must come here. Our server, Vincenzo was delightful and the food and wine were so good you might think you’re in Italy. We ordered the bruschetta, Agnolitti and Ragu paired with a bottle of a SuperTuscan. Everything was so good, I forgot to take pictures. And even if you’re too full, you must order gelato!!“
“This restaurant is located on East Passyunk in South Philly. I love the ambiance and service was great. Meat and veggie platter was delicious. The platter also came with pizza dough which was surprisingly really good. I am also currently obsessed with their gnocchi, it has the perfect texture and the sauce was amazing. Will definitely come back!“
“Cozy restaurant with a lot of energy. Hold off on eating the complementary bread because you'll need it for the outstanding mussel appetizer. Another must order is the orecchiette. One of the best pastas I've had in Philadelphia. The lamb shank was just ok. Unfortunately I just recently had it at another Philly restaurant and it was so much better. Barramundi which was a special was a huge disappointment. I've never seen so many things added to a fish dish to overwhelm what I consider to be an amazing fish. This is my second time at this restaurant where the entrees feel short. Stick to the appetizers and pastas. Service was outstanding.“
“Terrific dinner! We had the burrata appetizer and the beet salad to start, cacio e pepe ravioli, rigatoni parmagiana, seafood gnocchi, and chicken Milanese. All were delicious and well-executed. Ricotta cake, orange sorbet and a cannoli for dessert, also delicious. Service was attentive and great.“
“Ok so the cheesesteak is definitely than all other pizza shops. It’s about 11” meat is very juicy and flavorful with lots of melted creamy cheese and the onions were caramelized perfectly. I would absolutely give that steak sandwich a 20 out of 10“
“Bacio strikes again! Kudos to our friends Pam and Chef Robert! Thier pre-cooked Valentine's Day Dinner for 2 was amazing! From the salads all the way thru to the desserts, every course was fantastic. And the best part is that the portions were large enough that we will switch our entrees and get another full meal out of it! Thanks again for a great dinner!“
“I've got a major girl crush on Her Place Supper Club. WOW, just wow! I'm in absolute awe of the dining experience I had last night. Truly a gem. From the music soundtrack, to the amazingly attentive service and all female staff, to the intimate dining setting, to the passionate chefs who took the time to ring the bell and explain every single dish in detail, to making every single person dining in that room last night feel so welcomed and last but not least, to the thoughtfully curated dishes and empty plates left behind begging to be licked - what an epic dining experience + one that both my husband and I will never forget. So happy Presidents Day (Monday) allowed me the opportunity to make it to a dinner during the week. EVERY SINGLE dish I tried, I absolutely loved. Not one bad item on the menu, not a single one!One Recommendation:Get all of the add-on specials, there is no 'going wrong' at Her Place. Try it ALL.Showstopper Dish: Chitarra w. ClamsA big round of applause to Amanda Shulman. Truly impeccable. I'm telling everyone I know that I love her and 'Her Place'.“
“Came here with my partner for date night. Everything from service to food was excellent! Our waitress Iris made sure we were taken care of throughout our dinner and we even had the honor of watching her sing opera towards the end. Will definitely be coming back with the parents.“
“10/10, we got there 15 minutes late due to heavy rain, no problem at all! My babe booked the 5 course meal in a private wine cellar (it’s only 1 down the basement) very romantic w/rose petals and candle lights, I’m vegan and the chef really threw it down in the kitchen just for me :-) very happy about that, you have to pay in advance and beverages aren’t included, will definitely go back.“
“This is my favorite Italian restaurant. We travel every February from NYC to visit. Service is the sweetest. We live the cozy outdoor room, even in winter. And the food is amazing. We come with a toddler and he loves the meatballs. Love coming to this sweet little spot.Kid-friendliness: We come right at 5pm on a Friday, and there's plenty of room in the outdoor section for my toddler to be comfortable. Everyone is always very accommodating.“
“Giuseppe's and Sons is an absolute culinary masterpiece nestled in the heart of Philadelphia, PA. From the moment you step inside, you're transported to the enchanting streets of Italy, where every corner exudes warmth and hospitality. The ambiance is simply mesmerizing, with rustic décor and soft lighting that sets the perfect mood for a memorable dining experience. But it's the food that truly steals the show. Each dish is a symphony of flavors, expertly crafted with the finest ingredients and a touch of Italian flair. From their velvety risottos to their perfectly al dente pastas, every bite is a culinary revelation. And let's not forget their heavenly desserts that will leave you swooning with delight. But what truly sets Giuseppe's and Sons apart is their impeccable service. The staff treats you like family, ensuring that every need is met with a smile. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply craving authentic Italian cuisine, Giuseppe's and Sons is the epitome of culinary excellence. Trust me, dining here is an experience you'll cherish forever. Buon appetito!“
“Headed to South Philly on a Friday evening to try out Saloon and had a fantastic experience. The dinner in every area was above and beyond, from the atmosphere, to service, to options, and food. Everything we tried was delicious, and the service was excellent throughout. Prices are high, but we left with enough food for 2 more meals in leftovers so I felt less concerned about the cost. Highly, highly recommend.“
“The service was excellent. The food was also good, we enjoyed the tasting menu which had some surprising dishes such as the carrot & egg custard. The bread and nduja was also a nice addition. However, we spent over $800 between the two of us with tips included (with the tasting menu priced at $215) which I think is way too overpriced. The wines especially are overpriced, for 150pp I would expect more upscale wines than what was on offered. We ended up going with a Barolo instead which was more reasonable but still $170 for a bottle. For these prices, I would expect Michelin 1 or 2 star quality food, which it wasn't (as nice as our meal was). That said, the service was really good with our waiter being extremely attentive and considerate.“
“While a little cramped, Giorgio’s is a tasty Italian place with friendly staff, plenty of bread and roasted garlic flowing and delicious gnocchi. I’d highly recommend coming here before getting some rush tickets from the Kimmel center. “
“Osteria holds its own against any other Italian restaurant in Philly. In fact, it is probably my new favorite. For apps, the broccoli caesar salad and octopus were both epic. The pastas were all homemade and delicious, especially the chicken rigatoni and the chestnut/truffle choices. The pork chop was spicy in the best way and insanely flavorful - cooked to perfection. Negronis are excellent too... Go with a group of 4 or more so you can try a bunch of different things!“
“When I think of quality, I think of Wm Mulherin’s. Though many restaurants in the city offer pasta, the dishes from here stand out above the rest by far. The cocktails here are amazing as well, and the dessert never ceases to amaze me. My partner and I get the chocolate cake almost every time we go, and it’s always mind-blowingly consistent. The service is always phenomenal as well. I have always left this place feeling absolutely satisfied in every way. If I could give ten stars, I would!“
“We had the best seats in the house being next to the chef's as they prepared our dinners!! It was a Great meal and great desserts!! We will be back again when we are in Philadelphia pennsylvania!! Make sure you check out Fiorella when you are in the area!!“
“After seeing so many photos posted online about their Trio pizza I had to try. Best pizza ever! Could taste the flavors of the three different sauces in every bite. Crust was thicker, but perfectly cooked and crunchy on the bottom. Will be my new stopping point on the way home from the shore.“
“waiter: David F: Water was always full, gave ample suggestions, couldn’t have asked for a better server. Started off with the meatballs, they were very well done with cheese oozing out the middle. Very well done meatballs 9.3, the chicken Spiedini was well cooked, a little small but that’s expected, the salsa verde is to die for. The focaccia is crazy good, like absolutely amazing, it’s perfect for two, aswell the honey butter delivered a sweet and savoury addition to the salty fresh focaccia 9.8. The Agnolotti was not my favourite, I am not a mushrooms person so this missed with me, however if you like mushrooms this is a great pasta to try 6.8. Finished off the night with the Mozzarella Frito, they were really well paired with the marinara, I wish they were cooked through the middle a bit more as a couple bites were oozing Mozzarella 8.4. Overall fantastic meal anyone should experience in Philadelphia.“
“Susage pizza with burrata was close to if not the best pizza I ever had. Salads were delicious. The cotoletta could needed a bit more lemon for my taste and the cacio pepe needed pumping up a bit too. But both were still very good. Our friend loved the pork tenderloin. Decor is neither inviting nor offensive. Will definitiely go back for the FOOD and great service!“
“My in-laws were in the town, and we booked a table for 4. Even though they were a little late to the reservation, the restaurant made no problem. (They were not happy with it for sure, but they did not make us feel uncomfortable about it. So do not be late still)Fantastic food and a delicious menu. Everything is authentic Italian style cooked. We love it!Decoration needs to be updated but gives old italian vibe, no complaint. Our favorite thing was how our server, Micheal, improved our night. He was quick, careful, professional, and very friendly. He checked on us without needing him—excellent, outstanding professionalism. We love every second of it. We will be back! Special thanks to Micheal.“
“We've been here several times since it opened, and have experienced good service and food each time. Several of the dishes have been on the menu each time, but some have been tweaked with different ingredients, making them a little different (even though the original was already worth trying again). The "Brown Butter" dessert, the name of which sounded rather unappetizing on our first visit, turned out to be one of the highlights. Definitely try it. Prices are also reasonable, for a more upscale establishment.Kid-friendliness: It's a quiet, intimate environment. Go for a date night and leave the kids with a sitter.“
“Absolutely amazing experience. Food was out of this world and dessert was this best thing ever. Antipasto was peach buratta, mixto grill for 2 and arancini. Gemeli special with seafood and white wine sauce. Aso Bucco over mash. Creme brûlée, torta calabrese and tree leche.“
“This is probably the most popular restaurant in the area, as evidenced by the crowds inside and couldn't get a reservation online but we called and they did their best to accommodate us so we were able to get a table for 2, 8:30 pm. The service is 10 stars, best service I ever had & the food was fresh and delicious. Can't wait to be back !“
“Friends dinner out on a rainy Saturday. Our Mr first time to Noir since the Pandemic. It's even better than we remembered. Same comfortable, relaxed, neighborhoods atmosphere. Same warm and welcoming service. And the food is inspired. Particularly good: broccoli rabe with sausage and beans starter, arancini, gnocchi in mushroom gravy, short rib, and (amazing) spaghetti with crab sauce. Desserts were fresh and especially tasty. Great evening!“
“The pictures do not do it justice. Literally some of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. And all the sides are impeccable. The fries with balsamic glaze and roasted asparagus were amazing. Dropped 40 bucks a person just from ordering so “
“Great Italian Hoagie spot in the heart of the neighborhood. The Chicken Cutlet is the real deal. They have just enough crunch to it on a worthy Philly hoagie roll. The people here- including owner- are warm and responsive dishin’ out these beauties. Pricing quite reasonable.Thank you guys for breathing fire into an area that needed a for-real hoagie spot. Now easily on the rotation.“
“LOVED IT HERE! Truly authentic Italian cooking, with authentic ingredients to purchase. The staff was so friendly and accomodating on their menu. We had to make a slight change in order for a vegetarian, and they had no issues. We tried their breakfast sandwiches & lunch sandwiches, and each bite was jam packed with substance & flavor (I mean, just look at the layers in my photo.) Fresh ingredients, and an overall quaint/bright spot. This would be an awesome place to post up and get some work done, do some people watching, and enjoy delicious food. Not to mention, their baked goods looked out of this world. We wanted to get so much, but I landed on their passion fruit donut, partly because it was the last one left (so I figured something must be good!) And let me tell you, their dough is different. The donut was dense & fluffy at the same time, and their passion fruit flavor was y-u-m-m-y. I can't wait to go back to try more sandwiches and get some grocery shopping done!“
“Picture the quintessential neighborhood corner sandwich shop of your dreams - this is it. This is the spot. Found it today and knew at first menu glance it’d be dope. The daily specials (kielbasa & egg sandwich, and Italian melt) were great and already thinking about the next ones I want to try (ex. The Bobby). Slaw, pickle, and Vietnamese iced coffee were great too!The place was happily busy on a sunny Saturday afternoon - line inside but I ordered ahead online since I was walking my dog, and their service was great — I literally stepped inside and within 2 seconds someone came out to greet me, I said I placed order, they said my name and handed me my bag and coffee.I don’t know what we the people of Francisville did to deserve Sandwich Corner Market, but my heart is full (and stomach)(Can you guys maybe make like, a little sandwich sample flight? Like 3 little sliders somehow? I want to try so many at once but can’t be slamming like 3 sandwiches and foresee myself stressing in the future over which 1 sandwich to pick per order)“
“Took the family here for a birthday dinner gathering. It was very good and we throughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere was great, the food was amazing and the waiter & staff were terrific! First time visiting and they didn't disappoint at all food was absolutely wonderful well prepared hot and fresh! A very good experience and I would definitely recommend“
“Great food & drinks! My boyfriend loves That Nicholas Cage. Like coming here for a late night, fancy stop. It’s very small & cozy. Bartenders are cool. Definitely on the pricey side (food that is). The cigarettes are a cool touch. Although I don’t smoke, “
“the food was pretty good, the place is pretty nice and you need a reservation but i wish there were more option for appetizers especially because they were out of octopus when i went and that’s what i wanted. they were out of a lot of other things including chicken. i also wish they toasted their bread but the olive oil was so good.Dietary restrictions: the waitress specifically asked for all of our dietary restrictions before taking our order“
“The chicken was so tender and delicious that I really wanted 3 more helpings but went for the amazing butterscotch pudding dessert! The Brussel sprouts were crispy and deliciously tossed in balsamic vinegar reduction. The pasta was served perfectly al dente which ever sauce you chose. The pomodoro sauce was just superb! It was just a little tight but otherwise the atmosphere was great as was the staff!!Parking: Best to park in the lot just off of 3rd and Bainbridge as trying to find a spot on the street is near impossible. The lot was convenient and close by, less than a block away. $15 for as long as you want on Saturday or Sunday or weeknight after 5pm. Worth it for the impeccable cuisine!!“
“My wife and I went here for Valentines Day. The ambience and service were fantastic. The food was average and nothing to rave about. I received the Chicken Parmigan and it was nothing to special. The sauce was not that great and the cut of chicken was average. My wife had the gnochi and it was also okay. I would not return here in the future because we have had way better quality food in other restuarants that are BYOB.“
“A must go to in the Italian market in south Philly, as soon as you walk in you get hit with an aroma of so many good Italian foods to pick and choose from. The pasta is a must try can’t go wrong getting a few cuts and finding your personal “
“A very fun and unique experience. This members only club has a speakeasy style for access. Everything we had there was top notch. Highlights for me: the lamb chop, the gnocchi, crab pasta and the espresso martini which had 24 hr churned brown butter somehow infused into it. If you know someone with a membership, you should really try to go.“
“Food is incredible!! The staff had some leftover wine and gave it to us complimentary. This is my boyfriend and I's new favorite place! We'll drive into the city just to come here. We came in close before kitchen closed and they accommodated us so well and everything came out in a perfect timely manner. Great service and great food!Highly recommend.“
“Came to Murphs on 2 occasions and had drastically different experiences service wise. My advice is to come on a weekday and early with the exception of Tuesday when the kitchen is closed.1st visit: Came on a Saturday evening. Wait was out the door but was told a table for 2 would take an hour and half. Ended up taking 2.5 hrs but we stuck it out and only got lucky because a bar seat opened up which is open for anyone walking in or on the waitlist if seats accommodate. However this caused miscommunication with the host and the bartenders because they were also cutting off the kitchen for any new walk ins so even though we were seated and on the list prior to cut off they basically paid us no attention in regards to drinks or foods. After 20 mins and finally clearing up the situation we were able to order but most items were already sold out. Luckily the items we wanted, aside from the appetizer, were available. The food was really good but the overall experience was a terrible way to end our night and in my opinion hindered my opinion on the food itself at the time. I could sense the workers were spent based on how busy it was but it would have felt great not feeling invisible after a 2.5 hr wait and when 2 customers have nothing in front of them while 3 bartenders pace the bar.2nd Visit: Came on a Thursday evening and there was still a waitlist but not nearly as long as before. We were told 45 mins so we came back in 30 to ask for an updated wait time. There were 2 groups in front of us on the list and only a 4 seater table available so we stood by the bar. This awesome dude from behind the bar asked us if we needed to be seated to which we told him we were still on the waitlist. The guy said to not worry about it since there was no one else waiting and sat us immediately at the open table. Both our server and the host came over in light speed and were extremely hospitable in every aspect to the point that I was shocked considering our last experience. The same app was still sold out but this experience made me genuinely enjoy the everything in its totality and makes me want to come back until I get to try the fried smoked mozz.Aside from the differences in service the food is consistently solid. Perfectly cooked pasta, great sauces, great desserts. Cash only but decently affordable for the quality of food in my opinion. I wish I got the names of everyone who was part of the experience on our second visit. Certainly deserved the tip but would have loved to have acknowledged them personally for making our dinner so enjoyable.“
“True old world Italian cooking artistry. Opened in 1899 Dante and Luigi's is one of the oldest restaurants in Philadelphia PA. It is certainly the oldest Italian eatery in Philly. Cozy with well dressed wait staff and old world decor. The food tells the story here. I have eating there since college. I took my dates there when I was 18. I go for the food. Delicious is the keyword. Savory tomato sauces, tender meats and exquisite desserts if you have the room after eating your meal. On my recent visit I had pasta fagoli and a side of roasted peppers and provolone to start and their homemade lasagna for the main course. Everything was scrumptious. Even though I was bordering on I can't eat another bite I had the tiramisu for dessert. I couldn't resist. Dante and Luigi is easily my favorite Italian restaurant and a cut about the rest.“
“The pizza is really good. I like the flavor of the pizza and the chicken tenders. The garlic knots are fresh and they taste just as good if you eat it the next day. The staff is friendly and ordering online is easy and quick. I would recommend this place.“
“My brothers rehearsal dinner was here. Anthony was amazing to work with. The food was fantastic, service was amazing, and everyone had a fabulous time. The room looked so classy and elegant when decorated and set up. Would highly recommend for any event and we cannot wait to return!“
“I normally don’t give reviews. I am amazed such a hidden gem is close to my home and I came upon Marco by chance. I wanted something different and sophisticated for a party. Was I surprised? Celebrated my husband’s birthday ?at Marco’s in Pennsauken. Great service started from making a reservation for our group. They listened and when we got there, set up was good. We had a golf course view as requested. Nice clean place. Handicap accessible which was a plus. Our waitress Michaela was very nice and attentive. Food was served elegantly and tasted superb, crab cakes actually had chunks of real crab meat. No fillers like other places. Steak was cooked just right. All in all our guests had a fantastic experience. Thanks Marco’s for excellent service and food. We will surely be back.“
