“My first visit to Salad House in Ridgewood was a great experience. I received a warm welcome from Chris, the manager. He was very courteous and polite. He took the time to explain the menu and answer my questions with great detail and enthusiasm. I ordered the Teriyaki Bowl and was very pleased; as it was very flavorful. It’s a newer place on Main Street I have been meaning to check out and it didn’t disappoint. I made my own salad bowl with salmon that was cooked PERFECTLY truly amazing. Everything was so flavorful I ended up not even using the dressing I picked it simply wasn’t needed in my opinion so now I have some sauce to make something at home with! It ended up being around $35+ but that’s because I got a lot of add on and honestly I don’t regret it at all. It was a treat yourself kinda tab lol. When their DoorDash driver didn’t show up, the store employee and manager went above and beyond trying to make it right, the manager even personally delivered our order.

Nuff a the food were finished(sold out) but we got the pepper steak w/rice&peas and raw vegetables (shredded carrots and cabbage,love it!) and sweet chilie wings w/rice and peas. This place is always clean, too.Sometimes they DO get overwhelmed with a lot of customers (because their food is so good!) and you may wait a little longer than usual; but they still work very hard, diligently and follow the CDC health guidelines. Club music was too much & a tad loud. Chefs working at the sushi counter were not engaging at all but looked unhappy. They never said a word, not even hello or good bye. Servers were attentitive & somewhat friendly. Later on a gentleman, maybe the owner, had good energy & greetings. Omakase would have been better if the sashimi was not warmer than room temperature. Ramen at the end was strange & unnecessary. No dessert was included and that would have been better to finish the meal with. Prices are fair. BYOB is a major plus. Next time will not do omakase, as neighboring people were enjoying their a la carte dishes.“

The kids had their favorite, a white pizza pie, my niece had the Greek Salad with grilled chicken and I had the Chicken Bolognese and 2 glasses of Chardonnay. The Bolognese was DELICIOUS AND more than enough for one person! The Chardonnay was pretty good as well!“
