I wanted fried wontons but they gave me regular instead, sometimes I speak too fast. They were good. no complaints

“Best best best. I have given gift cards to 3 or 4 friends in WM (where we never had good food) and this place is so much like China Town NYC. Whoever said it's not hot? It's hot a half hour later, trust me we live a half hour away, piping hot. I have never one time in 100's of time had a bad meal here. Especially love their soups, Ginger Chicken, General Tao, sometimes the boneless ribs are too chewy, but if you ask for them tender and well done, they do that. The soups might be a bit expensive but all else to me, is well deserved and fairly paid.“

“We had not ordered takeout from Spring Restaurant in many years. We decided to give it a try and it was amazing. We had the House Special Lo Mein, Beef w.Straw Mushroom & Baby Corn, Baby Shrimp w.Cashew Nuts, and Roast Pork Egg Roll. The Lo Mein was excellent— the nood were firm, the variety of ingredients and the flavor of the sauce were very goo. The beef in the Beef w.Straw Mushrooms was tender and very plentiful. While chestnut mushrooms were substituted for the straw mushroom, they were firm and very flavourful. The Baby Shrimp w cashews was delicious, although the order contained bell peppers, which was not mentioned on the menu, and were a little too sharp for the dish (we will be sure to order without peppers). The Roast Pork Egg Rolls were crisp, well-filled and not at all greasy or oily. Our family rated the meal a 9.8 out of 10. We will DEFINITELY be ordering from Spring Restaurant again, and soon!“

“Just tried for the first time today. Although the coconut chicken and fried dumplings were delicious, the Lobster Lo Mein was horrible. There wasn’t even lobster in it.. It was more like rubber bands that resembled crayfish. Drove too far to get my money back.“

“I’ve been a local to this restaurant for years and never had the chance to try it, thankfully I finally did and WOW!! One of the best chicken pad Thai’s I’ve ever had! The chicken was well seasoned and high-quality white meat. The noodles were the perfect texture without being burnt like most places do. I give it five stars because of the incredible food and the very kind service. Treated like you’re family and has the love of family recipes! 5/5 will come back again!!“

“Late night around 11 PM, my boyfriend and I had car trouble right in front of this restaurant—our trunk wouldn’t close. Even though the restaurant was closed, the owner came outside and kindly helped us fix it. We were so grateful for his generosity and willingness to help, especially that late at night.
Not only did he go out of his way for us, but it also showed what kind of people run this business. On top of that, the food here is delicious.“
“All the people, with their negative reviews maybe they don’t have the right place. I’ve been eating here for the last decade and honestly their food has always been delicious. I’ve always compared their Chinese food to other places and other places have always disappointed for the most part besides another place locally as well! Especially when you live out of state, you realize how good our NJ food is!! Can you also believe they’re one of the few that offer the ginger sauce ?! When I lived out of state I would ask other Chinese restaurants for ginger sauce and they didn’t even know what I meant ! Chens is the best and quick service !“

“I’ve been living in Oakland for 4 years, and I was afraid to try this place because of the bad yelp reviews; Frankly, I don’t understand why. This is my go to Chinese place now!
The wings are big and fresh. They don’t pre-fry their wings like most places Also, the spareribs are very Tasty 😋 They’re not dried out like a lot of places. I mostly get the chicken and broccoli which is always excellent, succulent chicken and the broccoli is green fresh and crunchy The way I like it :-) Oh, and I almost forgot they have the pan fried dumplings (goyza) like I get in Chinatown, where the skin is not very thick; so good!“

“You can always judge a classic take-out Chinese spot by two things: a sun-faded overhead menu and a kid behind the counter doing homework. The new Mr. Wonton may not have the discolored menu yet—but they do have a little boy at the counter, so they’re definitely on the right track!
The food is okay—not terrible, not amazing. I ordered the General Tso’s Chicken. My only real complaint (and this applies to a lot of take-out Chinese places) is the packaging. The plastic containers are incredibly shallow now (see picture). We’re paying more and getting less! Bring back the old, deeper containers and keep the price the same.
The service is solid. The young guy working the counter on a busy Saturday night was cranking out orders as fast as he could. He handled the rush really well—props to him.
The atmosphere is your typical take-out spot. On my last visit, it looked like they were putting up new chalkboard menus. And if the little kid is there, be ready for some chit-chat—he’s quite the talker (in a good way).
In conclusion, it’s not bad. I’d order from them again—but give it a try yourself and see what you think!“
