“Every dinner here is above average- is that even possible? The (kosher) meat menu's large but everything is built on a theme. The knowledgeable waitstaff always guides us toward the best combinations. Last night we tried the stuffed eggplant appetizer- it was rich, salty, sweet, and sour. Probably not for everyone but it's now a favorite of ours. We also tried the pistachio lamb kebab, which was really unique and delicious. It came wrapped in a flatbread and covered in a tangy tomato sauce and ground pistachios. Super unique and tasty. Dessert was baklava made with kataifi and ground walnuts. My pancreas cried out for help while my taste buds told it to sit down. Totally worth the calories. Portions are huge- come hungry and prepared to take home leftovers.“

“Everything about this place just screams 5 stars!!! Let me tell you about the sandwich that I just recently consumed…it puts the CRUNCH in Crunch Cafe!!!! The cookies are beyond delicious and the size of my face (not kidding), so perfect to split with friends or to eat by yourself (like me!)! Now let’s talk about that KOSHER boba!!! Are you for real?!?! I can’t even tell you how many years I spent waiting for kosher boba (hint: all my life)! Anyway I’m gonna have to stop writing now because there’s a croissant that’s very much calling my name, so you should probably come eat here before I finish it all:)“

“Great atmosphere. Rapidly seated. Got the falafel, hummus and salsa (comes with pita but I declined). Got a plate of pickles, on the house, which were flavorful. The falafel plate was filling and flavorful. It came with five balls and it was sufficient. The hummus tasted so fresh. I had no complaints. Street parking fyi. They accept card.“

“First visit to the new Highland Park location was this past Thursday for lunch. The line to order was long (a good sign!) but they would benefit from having a second person who could take orders. The had a variety of specialty pizzas available for slices. Since they just moved the full menu is not yet available. They do have sushi which is exciting. First, it seems to be an unwritten rule that kosher pizza places have sushi, but second - and more importantly- this location was formerly the location of Sushiana, a kosher sushi restaurant which is sorely missed. Even though they only have basic rolls on the menu so far, the sushi chef remembered us from being Sushiana customers and offered to make us some of the specialty rolls if he had the ingredients. We stuck with plain tuna, salmon and spicy "krab" rolls. They were excellent with a generous amount of fish. Another who was with us had the falafel pita. The sandwich was huge and required two hands. He said he was not usually a tehina fan but he really liked the sauce on the falafel. They have decorated with some neon signs and cute posters. We will likely be back frequently.“
