“This is such a lovely place with a warm, friendly ambience. I brought my son here on Christmas Eve, and we had a lovely time. The chocolate martinis are amazing and the wine list is very good. We started with perfectly chilled and delicious oysters and then enjoyed aranciata with crab and a lovely lobster pasta dish. The vibe is inviting for families with young children as well and there is also a nice bar for adults only. This is a great place that I will return to soon !“

We hosted my dad’s birthday at Schmitty’s and it was perfect. We rented out the indoor and outdoor space privately for a few hours, which gave us plenty of room to celebrate with family and friends in a relaxed, fun setting.

The staff at Schmitty’s were incredible—friendly, professional, and truly went above and beyond to help make the event special. They even recommended a fantastic musician for live music, who we ended up hiring, and it brought such a great energy to the night.
Everything came together beautifully, and it was a memorable evening for our whole family. Huge thanks to the Schmitty’s team—we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!“

“By food I mean the beer I haven't had the chance to eat there yet but the food looks good. Stopped by there yesterday since I was close to the location and had the pleasure of meeting an amazing bartender Sebastian. Answered all my questions, very knowledgeable about beer and was generous to allow me to sample before I picked what I wanted to drink. Atmosphere is laid-back, I was able to chat with a few other customers no issues, everybody was friendly. Exactly how a local bar should be, welcoming and warm. I also learned from him that they have a system ( which to me is very modern because I haven't heard about this ) but every time they change the keg there's an auto feature that cleans the line out by itself which makes a lot of sense because you don't want to have the taste of a sour beer in an IPA and vice versa or mix it up. When I found that out, I realized this is the place to go to for an amazing variety of beers which will always be guaranteed fresh because of their processes. Definitely worth a visit for some fresh cold beer with a great variety and knowledgeable bartender, can't get better than that!!“

Ps. Some people cant handle their liquor at a Pub and than write negative reviews for being kicked out, while they are in fault for disrupting the friendly vibe.“

“My go to bar in Hoboken. I believe these are some of the best happy hour deals in the area that I’ve seen. Door staff and bar tenders and everyone else are always friendly. Drinks are made well and the food is perfect for bar food. Place is good if you want a quiet drink earlier in the day, want to see a big game with friends, or late at night want to dance. The owner (Mike) did a good job.“

“Was a bar hopping night and honestly this bar was the highlight of the night. I noticed all the people below were complaining, but honestly if you don't feel comfortable going to a dive bar then don't go.The places atmosphere from the beginning was amazing. The service was top tier and great, honestly all the people (Including the bartender) were on point. The crowd was there to have fun and party. Honestly met a lot of dope people too while there. Planning on going back there ASAP this weekend or the following. May become the main bar of my hops.Again this bar is mainly a standing bar, so don't expect to sit down. Don't complain either. This is why its a great bar hoping bar. Unless you dont mind chilling all night there. Either way defiantly worth.“

“Stopped by for the Army/Navy game. The service was excellent as we sat at the bar. Paula the bartender helped us out. We had Buffalo wings which were good. I didn't care for them being breaded but that's how some establishments make them. The the music played while the game was in commercial break was a bit loud (I know...I'm old :). Overall, a good time.“
