“A few years ago, I was hired to write a series of articles about regional Italian cuisine. Since then, I have been looking for traditional Italian gelato. Until yesterday, I have been consistently disappointed. But this? It was absolutely EVERYTHING I had dreamed about. The prices weren't ridiculous, the bathroom was PRISTINE, the staff were helpful and friendly and it was incredibly, amazingly delicious. My only complaint is that I live too far away from your stores to get it very often. But about that? My hips are less upset about the distance. :) I will definitely be back, though!“

They did not have it available but promised they would have one fresh for me on Saturday morning and they did not disappoint! Already dreaming of how and when I can make my way back to Park Slope just for this and the super chocolate-chip cookie. But that babka, this subtle mix of Nutella and chocolate (I don’t even like Nutella) and the smooth, moistness of it all is so perfect, with this sugared little crispy bottom. Shoutout to Omri, a talented stop-motion artist working his last week, who was so warm and helpful to me.

“Are you passionate about pistachios? I am and at Petit Chou there is a pistachio éclair ($8) that is simply divine. Studded with a profusion of the tasty nuts, this pastry also has pistachio cream inside making each bite heavenly. I ate this last Friday. It's best to wait a few minutes to let it soften a bit before starting to eat. When I truly enjoy something I tend to eat slowly savoring each bite even though I know I may have it again.“

“Came here for the lava seasame crepe roll and it did not disappoint. The crunchy flakes on top added texture to a creamy and most importantly, not to sweet, crepe roll. “my favorite coffee shop. all the women are so friendly and make all the baked goods and drinks with love. i highly recommend the oat hochija latte and their home brewed iced teas. in the fall they have a delicious kabocha tea cake and regularly have a yuzu lemon cake and a lavender blueberry cake that are divine. i usually go during the weekdays in the early morning/afternoon and they have seating available, but it is a small space and can get busy on the weekends.“

“We had the pleasure of visiting the patisserie this weekend and loved the friendly nature of all the staff. We weren't able to try any of their cakes due to the presence of gelatin but Diana made us feel so welcome that we will definitely be coming back if not for pastries then definitely for the service! In today's fast paced environment, especially in a touristy area like Seaport it is rare to find such exceptional customer service. Diana took out the time to go over the ingredients and explain what we can have based off of our dietary needs. We ended up trying the banana cookie and the Gluten-free Chocolate cookie. The banana cookie had a lovely texture that is hard to come by - I'm a baker so I could tell it was made with skill. The texture was a mouthy chew without being too hard or too crispy - it was just right. The taste was similar to Craqelin and the banana really added depth to the carmelly flavor of the cookie. The chocolate cookie was even better (although I'm quite biased as I prefer chocolate). It was not too sweet, had a great texture and the pools of chocolate carmel added the perfect touch. I am quite picky so I was very impressed with Diana's customer service and her willingness to explain all the components so I would have the best experience. We left feeling quite pleased and will definitely be back. Diana should be promoted!
P.S. we also got the French Onion Croissant which was MAGNIFICENT! Crispy, perfectly seasoned and those layers of caramelized onion with cheese truly tantalized our tastebuds. Needless to say this place is a must try!“

“I can’t make this up if I remember correctly, the worker named Hafij was genuinely one of the coolest people I’ve met at a spot like this. He was super friendly, approachable, and made it feel welcoming right away, especially since it was my first time coming here. Hafij helped me decide what to order and gave real recommendations instead of rushing me, and he was patient while answering my questions. You can tell he actually cares about customers and takes pride in what he does, and because of him I’m definitely coming back in the future.“

This location is small not much choices of all the items available and also seating is limited but the space is small to begin with.

The staff is so caring warm and attentive. Every pastry beverage and prepared products are fresh and staff is out and about moving items cleaning and restocking as soon as they see the need for it.

“This pizza was good, i almost wanted to slap somebody! My cousin just moved here from FLORIDA so he was on a misson to try pizza in every burro. And last weekend, brooklyn was up! Puerto Ricans everywhere! It was fun! We went into this one pizza spot on broadway, and i was like oh naaa.... yiu cant get it from here. The pizza just looked so dusty! We walked around the corner to this spot, La Pizzaria, and right off the back, the pizza on display looked like it just cane out of heaven, and the pepparoni pizza had sesame seeds on it. And thst was some odd shyt right there! But we got it anyways, and baby beeeee! Let me tell you something... we tasted something we nvr had before! I mean idk what thst was, but that wasnt no regular Pizza! We tore that pizza up! And then went back and ordered personal pans! And so did my friend! The next time i want pizza, we will be traveling back from CT (bc thats where we live, to brooklyn to get that pizza! Thank you!“

“I keep going back to this bakery ever since I tried their prosciutto baguette - if you’re lucky to get your hands on one, you’ll likely eat it all in one sitting, so I always recommend getting 2. Their sourdough is also very affordable under $8 and they slice it for you.

“Every time I’m in New York I have to get milk bars, cereal, ice cream! It is truly so good, there is nothing like it. The location in Nolita is a very cute walk up window with really lovely staff. The prices are reasonable, and they now have matchboxes!“

He was attentive to everyone in line, he was doing about a dozen things at one time, no one fell through the cracks. “The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I ordered one of each of the tres leches and cuatro leches, as well as one of each flan. I also ordered the Dominican (pineapple) cake. Unfortunately, they did not have the dulce de leche Dominican cake.

Overall, I enjoyed all three Tres Leches cakes. However, I would rank the guava and strawberry varieties as my least favorites. The guava cake was sweet but lacked a distinct guava flavor. The strawberry cake tasted similar of Nestle Quik and was overly sweet.

The cuatro leches was good. It includes an additional layer of dulce de leche on top, which some may find too sweet.

The flan was average. It was a bit too thick and lacked sufficient syrup. Surprisingly, my favorite was the chocolate flan, despite not being particularly fond of chocolate.

The Dominican pineapple cake was quite disappointing. It was excessively dry and hard, lacking flavor aside from a faint hint of vanilla. I attempted to moisten it with the remaining tres leches milk, but it remained dry enough that I found myself needing a glass of milk.

I visited the store since UberEats has a huge upcharge per an item.

“Picked up pastries here to celebrate Women History Month at the office. Some of the most beautiful, and yummy, i have had in NYC.

It is pricy, but worth a small splurge for celebration. Or just bright up my day everywhere now and then.
