“Went here for dinner and had a good experience. Our server, Nia, was awesome. Incredibly friendly. She was quick to get our order in. When one of our steaks was over done she had a new one made right away no issue. She’s definitely a stand out employee that any restaurant would be lucky to have.“
“The service here is truly 5 stars, worth it to return for that attention and comfort. They have the routine down and give you the attention you want and feel special on for a night out. Definitely recommend reservations as it got major crowded in the tables and around the bar. Their cocktail list is impressive and was not disappointing in execution. We had the stuffed mushrooms to start and it was juicy though underseasoned. Their steaks were exactly what you want and I recommend the au poivre sauce as a tangy condiment. That was memorable for sure. The place overall just seems dark and outdated in furnishings, especially in the bathrooms. Their food hits the mark and service makes it worth returning.“

“I came here with my parents a few months ago. As usual, Roots rustic ambiance, excellent food/drinks and impeccable service did not disappoint! I ordered the surf and turf and it was cooked to perfection. Our server was prompt, polite and checked in frequently without being overbearing or annoying. The cocktails were unique and stellar. I'm so thankful that such a high quality restaurant exists in both Summit and Morristown. This steak house competes with all of the upper echelon ones in Manhattan. It's just as good as Keehn's and other prominent city destinations. Highly recommend!“

“We chose this place because it was BYOB (no bottle opening fees :) When we arrived around 4:15pm we were the only ones in the place so it was dead but the food was amazing! We had the Rib Eye Steak, Chicken Alfredo, Truffle Fries and Tiramisu. They cooked my steak exactly how I asked, the Chicken Alfredo was perfection and idk what sauce they gave us with the truffle fries but it was to die for! Buttery, garlicky goodness! Will definitely be back!“
“Our first time as we are visiting from out of town. Our server Cesar was so wonderful. Very accommodating and helpful. The food was phenomenal. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and had a charbroiled taste which we loved. We also had the Bavarian pretzels app special which was awesome!!!! Our drinks were also fantastic. This was a great choice for our 10th wedding anniversary. We’re so glad we found it. Highly recommend!!!!!!“
“Overall our brunch was very good with a couple of minor issues. The banquettes need cleaning, the juices in the cocktails weren't shaken thus making the drinks watery and not full flavored. I sent mine back and the waiter brought me another quickly. The food was good. We will come back for dinner in the future.“
“Everything was great. Atmosphere calming, service by Era -phenomenal, food really good. Hubby had the bone-in 28 days aged rib eye. He really enjoyed it ! It was large and good quality meat. I had the lamb chops which were well seasoned. Both of our temperature were medium. We also tried the mousse cake which was so delicious ! it wasn’t too sweet . The Lobster mac & cheese was ok and so was the sautéed potatoes. We had a lot of leftovers to take home. overall great experience, can’t wait to go back.“

“My frist time there all was good, but this time just Wow. The steak was very under cooked and very over seasoned. The amount of peper was enough for 4 steaks. The service was rushed. Got dinner before we finished the appetizers. The dessert tasted old. Not sure if I will give it another try ! “Place is an absolute diamond in the rough. The food was fantastic, and extremely reasonably priced. Went with 4 friends, had almost every appetizer (which we left nothing behind). Unlike most steakhouses, this place has a more relaxed vibe (ok to wear a hoodie and be comfortable), and also delivered better steaks than I've had a white glove establishments. 1000% recommend, this type of place is not easy to find anymore and needs to be visited. Also met Kathie and Glenn (siblings), who were extremely hospitable and truly know how to show customer appreciation. Will be going back, and bringing more folks to experience with me for sure!“
“I had the Parmesan crusted chicken and baked potato with seafood soup. Didn't prefer the corn in my soup but it tasted good so I sipped around the corn.
