“Really delicious food! I came here to try the Polo Better known as Plov or بخاري as they call it in the Middle East.

Ended up trying the Noodles, Manta (better known as Mantu) Lamb Skewers. The manta was the best I ever had in the states! Everything was really delicious!

Since they didn’t have what I came for the chef came out with red tea, which is also really good. This is my go to restaurant whenever I am in the FIDI. I cannot recommend enough! This is one of my all time favorite restaurants in NYC.“

“GERMAN DONER KEBAB - AN ENLIGHTENMENT If you're from Berlin, it feels like there's a kebab store on every other corner. So I can recognize and judge a kebab when I see it. Even just leaving Berlin and Brandenburg, the kebab experience changes within Germany. The further you get away from Berlin, the worse the kebabs get. Some time ago in New York, I discovered one or two places trying to make a kebab. Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to find a proper kebab in New York, despite the name kebab. What was being sold was called a kebab, but had very little to do with a kebab and tasted even less like a kebab. All the more enlightenment then... the recommendation of a friend living in Brooklyn. "German Doner Kebab" in Brooklyn. And then the first kebab there since 2018 here in New York. I can't even describe how happy I was. It looked like a kebab, it tasted like a kebab and came pretty close to a kebab from Berlin. Really well made. Incl. tax 12.51 dollars is a bit steep, but still good value for New York. The portion was good and filling. Everything is really fresh and well seasoned. The bread was just as it should be, thin and crispy. This was pretty much the best kebab I've had in a very, very long time (with the exception of one visit to Berlin). I will definitely go back there again. In New York entdeckte ich schon vor einiger Zeit den einen oder anderen Anbieter mit dem Versuch, einen Döner zu machen. Bisher konnte ich leider in New York trotz Bezeichnung Döner keinen ordentlichen Döner entdecken. Das was da verkauft wurde, heißt zwar Döner, hatte mit Döner aber recht wenig zu tun und schmeckte noch viel weniger nach einem Döner. Um so mehr dann die Erleuchtung... die Empfehlung eines Freundes in Brooklyn lebend. "German Doner Kebab" in Brooklyn. Und dort dann der erste Döner seit 2018 hier in New York. Also das war seit sehr sehr langer Zeit so ziemlich der beste Döner (mit Ausnahme einem Besuch in Berlin), den ich seit langer Zeit gegessen habe. “I am a chicken girl and can completely without reservation recommend any and all chicken dishes and sandwiches on the menu. I have had them all over and over. Also the French fries and green salad. They are my go to usually twice a week.Believe the listed menu needs to be updated price wise but still the best deals in town. “Hands down the best Persian restaurant in NYC. Forget Sofreh, you want real Persian food? Come to noosh. It’s a mom and pop shop with an amazing outdoor space, specialty cocktails and best part? Normal prices. Their Fasanjoon is out of this world. Literally the best I’ve had. Their sabzi is incredible, the Shiraz salad is as good as it gets with the freshest veggies and the koobideh kebab is amazing. What are you doing with your life if you haven’t been here?“

“Butter chicken, goat doori kebab is to die for. Roomali Roti - just had it after ages. No doubt NYC has an Indian restaurant which can compete with the likes of Dum Pukht in India.“

“Soooo happy my husband and I find this gem of a restaurant! Best Iranian food ever! I don't eat red meat or pork, so I stick to chicken and let me tell you I could eat the chicken kebab and saffron rice every single day of my life I swear!😋 The bread is Persian bread, I can't think of the name, but omg delish! We eat inside atleast twice a week, the restaurant is always clean and spotless, and Ellie is our usual server: she's truly the greatest! Friendly, Efficient and just the sweetest young woman to talk to. All of the young ladies that work there are super sweet. With the world being so crazy and backwards right now, It's really nice to know we have a quiet little spot we can go to enjoy a great meal in such authentic atmosphere!“

You MUSTT get their homemade bread, it’s so soft yet a little toasted on the outside. The cabbage and pickles were so refreshing, a nice balance to the savory chicken. It was also GIGANTIC. You will not leave hungry for sure. There is a modest seating area in there as well, in case you need to rest a little before continuing going wherever.“

“I had an incredible experience at this amazing restaurant—the Yemeni chicken haneeth was tender, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. My friend ordered tuna with vegetables and it was fresh and cooked to perfection, while my other friend had the salmon steak which was rich, juicy, and beautifully presented. Service was attentive and warm, enhancing the whole dining experience.

“Went late at night and they didn’t have any shawarma so I got chicken Kabab sandwich in pita it was really good. Rotisserie was okay nothing special. Kibbeh was very good. Only bad thing was their sauce. Did not like it at all, I asked for toum he said that was it but it wasn’t. Just want pure toum straight up garlic goes great with anything. Overall not a bad experience wish I got to try more stuff. PLEASE MAKE GOOD TOUM !!!“

“The Tandoori Chicken came out on a sizzling platter with lots of onions and peppers and was excellent, and a good portion besides. The other dishes and the hot nan were also excellent, as well as the friendly service. Great Indian food without leaving Brooklyn! Don't forget to BYO beer and wine from the store a block away.“

“Very good food, vibe, and staff. My friend and I shared some amazing lamb kebab and beitenjan. The eggplant in the beitenjan was a bit softer than I prefer, and the dish was very sweet. Even still, it was delicious! The lamb was amazing, too. The limonana was perfect. We dined on the deck upstairs under some charming string lights which created a very cute and intimate atmosphere. The staff was so friendly, too! I look forward to coming back to try more dishes.“

“The more convenient place for me than the Clifton London, although I like the atmosphere of the Clifton restaurant a little better. The food though is always good and service is pretty attentive either or not they are busy. The Montclair spot has a very nice outdoors seating section in the back.
Parking can be iffy as it's on-street and there are other restaurants in the area and close spaces seem to get taken quickly. However, if you don't mind a small walk there are plenty of lots and side streets in the area, just mind the meter requirements.“
