“Glad to see Uzbekistani cuisine on Ave I. The restaurant has a surprisingly large dining area with private rooms available, which is a nice touch.

The food was good overall. Their kebabs were solid, and I especially enjoyed the lula kebab. Prices are on the higher side 💰$$, but worth trying if you're in the mood for this style of cuisine.

“I’m a busy working mom and order from Wonder meals for my family 2-3 times a week at least. I like the variety of choices they offer. We particularly like their salads, Mexican food, a chicken sandwich and poke bowls. Most of the meals are very tasty, fresh and good value for the money. We also take advantage of the ability to order from other restaurants through the wonder platform. I particularly like their customer service because it is super responsive and accommodating if there are any mistakes in the order. I’m really happy that we have a wonder restaurant in our community.“

Even just leaving Berlin and Brandenburg, the kebab experience changes within Germany. The further you get away from Berlin, the worse the kebabs get. Some time ago in New York, I discovered one or two places trying to make a kebab. Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to find a proper kebab in New York, despite the name kebab. What was being sold was called a kebab, but had very little to do with a kebab and tasted even less like a kebab. All the more enlightenment then... the recommendation of a friend living in Brooklyn. "German Doner Kebab" in Brooklyn. And then the first kebab there since 2018 here in New York. I can't even describe how happy I was. It looked like a kebab, it tasted like a kebab and came pretty close to a kebab from Berlin. Really well made. Incl. tax 12.51 dollars is a bit steep, but still good value for New York. The portion was good and filling. Everything is really fresh and well seasoned. The bread was just as it should be, thin and crispy. This was pretty much the best kebab I've had in a very, very long time (with the exception of one visit to Berlin). I will definitely go back there again. In New York entdeckte ich schon vor einiger Zeit den einen oder anderen Anbieter mit dem Versuch, einen Döner zu machen. Bisher konnte ich leider in New York trotz Bezeichnung Döner keinen ordentlichen Döner entdecken. Das was da verkauft wurde, heißt zwar Döner, hatte mit Döner aber recht wenig zu tun und schmeckte noch viel weniger nach einem Döner. “The Red Sea Restaurant is better than ever. The menu has been revamped. Me and my husband went there for dinner. I ordered the chicken spinach detox and my husband the lamb gyro. Both were amazing. The meat were seasoned perfectly. I was able to taste every season and the flavors were all so balanced. I love that the sodium, salt level, was perfect and not super salty. The environment is so cute and Mohammed, was an amazing chef and the customer service was outstanding. This restaurant is better than Zara. We will definitely be back.“

“Soooo happy my husband and I find this gem of a restaurant! Best Iranian food ever! I don't eat red meat or pork, so I stick to chicken and let me tell you I could eat the chicken kebab and saffron rice every single day of my life I swear!😋 The bread is Persian bread, I can't think of the name, but omg delish! We eat inside atleast twice a week, the restaurant is always clean and spotless, and Ellie is our usual server: she's truly the greatest! Friendly, Efficient and just the sweetest young woman to talk to. All of the young ladies that work there are super sweet. With the world being so crazy and backwards right now, It's really nice to know we have a quiet little spot we can go to enjoy a great meal in such authentic atmosphere!“

“Ayat is a GEM. Food is top notch and portions are super generous. Their hummus and Muhammarah is divine. My guilty pleasure is the Pizzawarma which is definitely a shareable item. They are BYOB so go to Sahaadis wine shop inside IC and grab a Palestinian wine for a perfect pairing.“

The food is consistently delicious, with standout dishes like the tender lamb shish kebab and perfectly prepared grilled shrimp. The mezza (appetizers) are outstanding—rich baba ghanoush, creamy labneh, and an array of flavorful hummus varieties, all paired with warm, freshly baked Turkish bread that is simply irresistible.

The service is just as memorable: warm, friendly, and knowledgeable, especially helpful to anyone new to Turkish cuisine. The setting adds to the charm—inside, the dining grotto creates an inviting ambiance, while the back arbor surrounded by plants offers a beautiful, almost secret-garden feel.

Desserts are not to be missed, from the comforting Turkish rice pudding to flaky baklava and more. Toros is one of my favorite go-to places in Montclair—a restaurant that blends incredible flavors with a welcoming atmosphere.“

“I visited Bombay Kakab yesterday and It was my first time trying indian food and it was honestly super good and flavorful. Every bite just felt like I was tasting something new. My friends and I got the chicken tikka masala and chicken biryani and the chicken was so flavorful! We also order the naan and we weren’t disappointed it was so good and buttery!!
