“This is hands down the most authentic middle eastern food you can get in New Jersey. The quality of the food is out of this world; feels like a meal you would have at someone’s grandmas home. The prices are more than fair for the quantity and the quality of the food you are served. The menu is diverse and has various options to choose from (good for even the pickets of eaters). The service is also outstanding. The team is very hospitable and dietary restrictions such as allergies very seriously, ensuring you have a comfortable, stress free dining experience. This is hands down the best restaurant I have ever been to in New Jersey and has truly become a staple amongst my friends and I.“

“Had lunch here on a rainy day with my mother. Not my first time at the restaurant and my mothers first time having Mediterranean cuisine. I enjoyed it just as much as previously , the food and service does not disappoint. The chicken soup , haloumi salad, mezze plate and the grill plate made me feel happy. Meat was perfectly cooked , soft and just the perfect amount of sides. The portions are big and definitely worth the price. Highly recommend this restaurant. Oooh, and the pistachio pizza with the spicy honey - it deserves a separate review. Loved every minute of my lunch.“

For dinner we ordered the Big Chicken plate and the spicy beef noodles. The quality of the food makes up for the delayed wait time in service. Expect a wait, but the quality of the food is worth it!Dietary restrictions: Halal options available“

“I’ve had this place on my list for a while now. I loved trying the kebabs and sharab/drinks (virgin for me!). I loved the colonial-era decor with peacocks and carved wood. The appetizer portion sizes could be improved and the bathrooms could’ve been better too but nothing too bad. The food was really good! Here’s what we had:▪️Dahi ke Kebab (yogurt) 9/10▪️Sardarji Machi (Old Delhi fish) 9/10▪️Doori Kebab with Sheermal (goat) 10/10▪️Paneer Shashlik (cheese skewers) 6/10▪️Old Delhi Korma (mutton) 8/10▪️Bangin’ Baingan (eggplant) 7/10▪️Palak Paneer (spinach and cheese) 5/10?Chai raisin cake with rasmalai milk and chai ice cream 6/10?Mango Chutney (mango, pomegranate) 8/10ps> they’re halal and even brought out dates for the whole restaurant for iftaar!? “Located on Coney Island Ave in Brooklyn, Dunya Kabab House offers an unforgettable journey through Afghani cuisine. Our iftar experience was exceptional, from the seamless reservation process to the outstanding dishes. The Qabuli Pilau was a standout, boasting impeccable flavor and texture. Tender lamb chops and perfectly seasoned Chapli kababs delighted our taste buds. The lamb shank was a highlight, with meat so tender it fell off the bone effortlessly. The hummus was simply divine, with a delightful hint of olive oil that enhanced its rich flavor profile.Dunya Kabab House sets itself apart with bold flavors and expert spice blends, distinguishing it from other Middle Eastern eateries.“

“The food was so delicious. We really enjoyed it. The service was great. Price is average but we had little problem went there with my kids as fam. A group were having bday dinner and they were very loud couldn’t even hear ourselves during the dinner because everyone was laughing talking so loud. I don’t know how they could handle this kind of problem but still worth to taste delicious foods.Kid-friendliness: Got highchairs“

“I am a chicken girl and can completely without reservation recommend any and all chicken dishes and sandwiches on the menu. I have had them all over and over. Also the French fries and green salad. They are my go to usually twice a week.Believe the listed menu needs to be updated price wise but still the best deals in town. A HuGE plus you have the Richard Tucker (google him) Park right across the street for seating. Linda“

“GERMAN DONER KEBAB - AN ENLIGHTENMENT If you're from Berlin, it feels like there's a kebab store on every other corner. So I can recognize and judge a kebab when I see it. Even just leaving Berlin and Brandenburg, the kebab experience changes within Germany. The further you get away from Berlin, the worse the kebabs get. Some time ago in New York, I discovered one or two places trying to make a kebab. Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to find a proper kebab in New York, despite the name kebab. What was being sold was called a kebab, but had very little to do with a kebab and tasted even less like a kebab. All the more enlightenment then... the recommendation of a friend living in Brooklyn. "German Doner Kebab" in Brooklyn. And then the first kebab there since 2018 here in New York. I can't even describe how happy I was. It looked like a kebab, it tasted like a kebab and came pretty close to a kebab from Berlin. Really well made. Incl. tax 12.51 dollars is a bit steep, but still good value for New York. The portion was good and filling. Everything is really fresh and well seasoned. The bread was just as it should be, thin and crispy. This was pretty much the best kebab I've had in a very, very long time (with the exception of one visit to Berlin). I will definitely go back there again. Bisher konnte ich leider in New York trotz Bezeichnung Döner keinen ordentlichen Döner entdecken. Das was da verkauft wurde, heißt zwar Döner, hatte mit Döner aber recht wenig zu tun und schmeckte noch viel weniger nach einem Döner. Um so mehr dann die Erleuchtung... die Empfehlung eines Freundes in Brooklyn lebend. "German Doner Kebab" in Brooklyn. -------------------------------------------------“

“This place is cozy and has an amazing variety of Mediterranean cuisine. Excellent service! The pita is perfectly soft and goes very well with their homemade hummus and baba ganoush. Every dish is authentic and delicious. From their fresh mint lemonade to their dessert, everything was wonderful. I hope they stay around for a long time because we’ll be eating here more often. “Lokanta just opened up a few months ago. I always walked by, and i decided to give it a try. The restaurant itself has plenty of seating and is well kept. I placed an order for pick up. I went with the mixed grill entree. It was flavorful and tasted charcoal grilled, which I love. The ambiance is alright. It isn't a dimly lighted restaurant but doesn't need to be. I will stop by again and try more of their food.“

“Such a lovely dinner! Food made my mouth water and had so much flavor. I had the hummus and chicken, both fantastic. Highlight was when the team brought me out a sample of the fesenjoon at the end of the meal because they wanted me to try it and I’d been torn at the start of the meal. Absolutely worth it. Very cozy, will certainly be back!“

“I have been passing by this small restaurant for the past 4 years and wanting to try it out. Finally I went and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised that the small restaurant, which doesn’t look like much from the outside has amazing Mediterranean Turkish food. I was very impressed. Everything was fresh And delicious. This is definitely gem in the ruff . The restaurant is very welcoming and comfi . It’s a family business, and Adam was very helpful and pleasant as a waiter and he told me that his family owns the business. They take a lot of pride in the food that they serve. Also the price for what I paid for lunch was a great deal I got a Shepherds salad. Chicken kebab with rice, and another grain called Bulgar. they also gave me on the house a Turkish custard, which was very delicious. The lunch also comes with a soda. This is a must try hotspot, especially for lunch. I will definitely be back to eat the delicious Turkish food.“

“This is halal certified steakhouse located in Brooklyn. Suhrob originated in Uzbekistan and made their way over to the states this year. From the service to the food everything was a solid 10/10. We loved every single item. All meat dishes are cooked in a Josper grill. They have a variety of options on their menu ranging from pastas, burgers, salads, and so much more. It is a family friendly as they have an indoor play area for kids. No alcohol is served.“

“Literally one of the best restaurants I've eaten at in NYC (and I've been to a lot)! We ordered 5 Mezze options (potato, cauliflower , baba ganouj, labne, and hummus) to form a platter and everything was phenomenal. My boyfriend thought he didn't like baba ganoush until he tried it at this restaurant! This will definitely become a regular spot for us!Vegetarian options: All of the Mezze options are vegetarian, and they have many veg entrees and sides as well!“

“As someone who lived in Germany and who’s favorite street food was Döner, I was very skeptical about this place claiming “Berliner Döner” taste. BUT this place positively surprised me! The bread was fresh, tasty and had right thickness. They add the right sauces - red (hot) and white (garlic/sour cream). Meat tasted really good too - fresh and flavorful. Overall delicious döner - very close to authentic one from Berlin!“

“I love a spot that has consistently good food and you know what you're getting- that's Ayat! I always start with their mezze filistini which is served with their fresh hot outa bread! Their mixed platter for the main course has been a hit with anyone who I have brought here. It can get pretty packed and I think they have reservation options. In the summer they have a rooftop- deff make reservations for that. Be sure to end your meal with any of their desserts and their tea They have multiple locations now so there are plenty of options to find one that's close you!“

“While have bee to many of similar places this place stands out with its food as being different. Amazing service and great food overall. Compared to similar places the portions are small and more expensive. Great variety of choices. Have to mention the tiramisu separately as until trying theirs could not find one that was done perfectly in quiet some time.“

“Significantly better than the first time I tried this chain at another location. The rice was a little al dente for my taste, but the meat was seasoned well and it definitely did the trick. They understood when I asked them to be careful about cross-contamination because I have celiac and need to make sure my food is gluten-free, but they didn’t seem very happy about it!Dietary restrictions: GF options marked but staff aren’t very reassuring, and bread is present in the kitchen“

“This was the best chicken döner I've ever had. The slaw, chicken, turkish pita, everything was perfect. The bread tasted fresh, the slaw was refreshing, the chicken was juicy and flavorful. The feta added the salty, the sauces added depth. I wish there was this place in Florida because I will crave this until I can get one in Turkey (married into a turkish family).“
