“Ondo was exceptional! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. While the layout and vibe of the restaurant are more casual than upscale, the quality of the food more than makes up for it.

Chef Brian Kim, the owner of Ondo, also created the Michelin-starred Oiji Mi in NYC—so it’s no surprise that this spot is just as impressive. Ondo offers a tasting menu that’s a more affordable yet equally delicious alternative to Oiji Mi. It’s a fantastic way to experience elevated Korean cuisine without the Michelin price tag.

Chef Brian also owns other restaurants, including Domo Domo, and Ondo is a wonderful addition to his portfolio. The restaurant is co-owned with his wife, who leads the pastry program, adding a sweet finishing touch to an already amazing meal. Definitely worth a visit!“

“A great choice for getting some high quality Indian food in the area, especially if you'd prefer to not deal with the hustle and bustle of Little India in Journal Square.

I highly recommend ordering anything from the tandoor - the tandoori chicken was perfect! And the portions are massive. I did think many of the appetizers and main dishes were quite overpriced, however.

That said, I'd definitely come back and try the rest of the menu!“

“Subia’s is a cute vegan spot right off of Jersey Ave. I came here not knowing what I wanted for dinner. I chose Subia’s burger and was happy with my pick. Veggie burgers can be hit or miss in my experience but this one held its own. I thought the lack of fries with my burger would leave me hungry, so I ordered mac and cheese. While the mac and cheese was solid, I think the burger on its own would’ve left me full, it’s quite hefty. One of the owners was sitting at front to greet me. The service was great and I’m hoping to come back to try some of their breakfast options“

Well, look no more for me. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Great rustic look, comfy seating with back support, loads of outlets for laptops, and the second-floor space are super cute and cozy too. Oh and there's a small little outside area that's pretty cool as well. Shaquille (hope I spelled it right) was AMAZING! So down-to-earth, friendly, polite, and easy to talk to. “My first trip to Jersey lead me to Tinos and I am so lucky to have found them! Their cute outdoor dining area was shaded. Menu has tons of options - I had the Margherita pizza, Pinot and a cannoli! All are delicious and I can't wait to return. The pizza is the best I've ever had - crispy but still foldable thin crust, flavorful sauce, and top quality mozzarella and EVOO. My waiter was kind and attentive, who informed me that Tino still comes in and does things like weeding the plants. He also said that they are terrific employers. Not many places today hit all the check marks, but Tino's hits it out of the ballpark.“
