“I absolutely love Rumba Cubana! This location is perfect also. The restaurant is situated next to a park in the downtown area of Jersey City. The staff are kind and professional, great service. I’ve dined in/outside and ordered delivery once. Ordering delivery was definitely a huge disappointment. I ordered the Tropical Salad with grilled Salmon but the piece of salmon was so tiny. Dining in, they are usually generous with the proteins added. I feel like this was a very upsetting experience. Overall, it’s definitely my go-to place. The Papa Rellenas are delicious, the frozen lemonade is a must and you cannot leave without ordering some of the guava and cheese empanadas!“

“It took a lil while for our server to come because they were busy .. The manager Camillo saw we were waiting and was more than helpful and took our whole order without writing it down appetizer and entree and everything came out perfectly... Food was amazing!!... “Delicious food and friendly, kind owner!! My father and I had the bandeja típica and I had the ropa vieja with tostadas and rice with beans Cuban-style. The meat of the ropa vieja was wonderfully seasoned. Part of the chicharrón meat was a bit tough to chew. The coffee was so cute and delicious ?“

“I recommend it to you. My favorite is the churrasco and a glass of Portuguese wine. There is a variety. To spend a pleasant time with family or as a couple. With constant changes on my end, the staff was always a phone call away, very courteous offering excellent advice to ensure the perfect feast. Oh and the food was amazing.“

“My first time coming here and I must say, the food and service I was given was impeccable. Dining outside was rather comfortable despite the cold weather and the waiters I had were amazing. Being outside the atmosphere was rather simple so I'm unsure about indoor but it seemed cozy when I went to the restroom. I highly recommend people to check it out for dinner the most!

“A big shout out to my best latin place in Hoboken: Chango Kitchen. Traditional yummy latin dishes. Our faves are churrasco con chimichurri (skirt steakgrilled) and ropa vieja (shredded beef). My kids loved "alfajores with dulce de leche", "tres leches" and hot chocolate with when it's cold outside. Service is warm and friendly. We can visit the place multiple times and never get tired. #supportlocal“

“I can't give a full review because it was my 1st time visiting the establishment. I can give a review of what I ordered & of the person that served me. Everything looked & smelled good. The person who served me was kind & friendly. I had the picadillo with white rice, sweet plantains, a fried yuca fritter, & a side of beans. It all was very tasty, with the exception of the fritter. My only qualm was the pricing for what I ordered. It came to $29, including 2 bags of cheese doodles.Would I go back... Yes. Everything looked vibrant & fresh... I wanted to try EVERYTHING.“

“The food was extremely flavorful and delicious. If I am back in NJ I will come back for sure.
As a vegetarian I got served a meal that had meat in it. It was a large order so I don't fully fault them. I'm sure if I had ordered on my own they would have said something.

Vegetarian options: Not much for vegetarians and my rice ended up having meat in it. It was a large order so I don't fully blame them“

“I really enjoy coming here sandwich’s and coffee is great as well as the staff being friendly but it is a little overly priced especially an empanada being nearly 4$ and the size not matching the price as well as a small coffee looking XS for the price but overall I like it a lot“

“We were in NY for a couple of days, because our baby broke down, while they were doing the repairs the mechanics recommended this gem, excellent food, good atmosphere, friendly, helpful and cordial employees, we asked for a typical dish, they promised to make it up to date Next, we returned 2 days later and if they complied, they had the "Locrio de cerdo" dish. What a delight.The coffee has a strange taste, but it's not bad. The breads and croissants are delicious.The bathroom is small, but it allows you to freshen up ?The man in the kitchen is quite nice, and the lady at the front desk speaks very well, the site makes you feel comfortable. They let me stay for a while and it was great, because looking at a broken down truck is no fun.“

“Hace poco hice un pedido para un evento social familiar por un valor de $540 pero decidí pagar con mi tarjeta de crédito, obviamente me cobran el impuesto tax 6.625% de venta, sin embargo, tuvieron el descaro de cobrarme un 2.9% adicional por el uso de la tarjeta de crédito. “This is a family favorite! Since the food is fresh and very cheap compare to today’s prices within other restaurants around the same area. It could be better flavored, but they have their own seasoning. My favorite dish would have to be the Mangu with eggs, cheese and salami for breakfast. Cannot for get their oatmeal drink& hot chocolate.
