“First time at Coney Shack and I’m already hooked. This spot is such a cool blend of Vietnamese flavors with street food vibes, and everything we tried hit the mark.

We started with the crispy fish tacos—super light, crunchy, and packed with flavor. The lemongrass chicken banh mi tacos were my personal favorite: juicy, perfectly seasoned, and with just enough heat to keep things interesting. You can tell they’re not afraid to play around with flavor while still keeping the balance right.

The vibe inside is casual and fun—bright, energetic, and perfect for grabbing food with friends. Staff was super friendly and patient while we figured out what to order (so many good options!).

“I’ve been coming to this small business for about 3/4 years now and although it’s just a taco truck I know enough that all I have to do is pick up my order and eat it at my house or enjoy it with my partner at the nearby park. I’m not gonna make a review about the “environment” of a taco truck and make them feel obligated to my seating needs for that I’ll just to a RESTAURANT it’s a perfect grab and go. The staff is very friendly and hard working people, for as busy as they get their customer service is consistently great. I want to mention how hard it is to find authentic AL PASTOR TACOS that are supposed to be made like how they make it here. The tortilla is always fresh, the meat is seasoned perfectly and you can tell by the color on the meat and the salsa verde is also perfect if you are into spicy fresh homemade salsa just the right texture not watery like others that I’ve had around the area.“

“This yakitori stand is truly amazing. The chicken skewers were cooked and served perfectly, and it’s such a comfort food on a freezing windy afternoon. We went to another renowned Michelin starred yakitori restaurant exactly a night before we had Erotori (this yakitori stand). The food we had here is comparable with or even better than the Michelin starred restaurant (with 1/10 of the price). This place is real. “They aren't always there, but when they are, considerate it your lucky day. Some of the best hot dogs I've had, I recommend trying one with cooked onions and cheese, simple yeah, but it's all you need.

I've literally been going here for years (since I was a kid), perfect snack after a walk around the Rahway River Park. You can even ask for your hotdogs to go (they just wrap 'em up and put them in a bag).“

The owner was very accommodating and met all of our needs.Administratively, I was very impressed with Bro-Ritos. We made A LOT of requests and changes and had to work through the nuances of getting a new vendor approved, but Bro-Ritos was always responsive and on top of it. Fries cooked perfectly, lamb/beef gyros good portion, falafels were awful. Fries & gyro both lacked FLAVOR/seasoning, falafel must be a basic frozen brand and I tossed them after eating only one. The price point is worth stopping in to decide for yourself because we all understand food is different for each individual. What I’m used to is more flavor forward but this worked for a quick bite before headed to the airport for my flight home.“

“I have to admit that my expectations were low because traditional Mexican food on the east coast is rare as hens teeth. My wife and I were amazed to find the fresh ingredients and complimentary flavors reminded us of some of our favorite restaurants on Cozumel. My only complaint is that the food is too good for a food Truck. Mike already figured this out because he's opening a restaurant. I can't wait to see his presentation on some colorful Mexican crockery. Traditional rum, tequila, and mescal drinks would make a perfect evening.“
