“Just had my baby shower here and it was absolutely wonderful! The room was so spacious, the food was delicious, my favorite being the chicken salad finger sandwiches and the savory mac and cheese. Accommodated our 40 guests with plenty of room to spare for a bigger gathering! Very nice staff and very clean bathrooms! Cant wait to come back!“

“***4 1/2 stars***Sweet Melissa has been getting a ton of buzz over the past couple of years, to the point where I convinced my chum Jeffrey to drive out of his way on the way up for Thanksgiving last year to get one of their chocolate bourbon pecan pies I saw on their online menu. Literally the best pecan pie I've ever had, which is saying something given that a) I've had a ton of pecan pies and b) by the time I get to pie on Thanksgiving I'm usually feeling too disgusting to enjoy it. It's definitely not just me either, since this place is regularly appearing on a lot of top lists in the area and state overall. So when I realized I'd be less than 10 minutes from here at the end of my hike last weekend, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to visit and experience the sit-down service as well.As a born and bred creature from the Kingdom of Hunterdon, I can tell you a lot of positives about the area. Its food scene is pretty abysmal though, and it's rare that I ever go out of my way to endorse one of its restaurants. As an example, there's a sushi place close to my hometown that is incredibly mediocre and has sky-high reviews because the residents literally have never been to another sushi place. This place actually matches the hype though.I stopped by around mid-afternoon, about an hour before the kitchen closed. (I was looking nervously at my watch during the tail-end of my hike, knowing that time was not my friend for this one). It's very easy to find/spot, just off Route 31 S about two minutes past North Hunterdon High School. It's located in a newer strip mall with tons of parking available. Once I walked in, a waitress showed up within 30 seconds or so to direct me to a table in the room off to the right, away from the bakery area (which was probably a blessing in disguise).I can't find my main entree on the online menu, but it was an incredible breakfast sandwich, featuring a croissant, garlic aioli, eggs, avocado, gruyere cheese and thick cut bacon. Absolutely one of the best and certainly classiest breakfast sandwiches I've ever had, and it was enormous. The garlic aioli is a gamechanger for this, adding a delicious savory zest to the proceedings. As soon as I saw it, I knew it probably wasn't the best idea to also order the bread with raspberry compote - that was perfectly fine but I wasn't able to finish it/do it justice. I think they could have put a LITTLE more avocado on this (I had to get creative to ensure it was in more bites), but that's a dictionary definition nitpick. The lavender latte was solid as well.The only blemish was a bit of a service issue. My waiter was VERY nice and stopped by frequently. However, he didn't bring over a pad to take down my order, which wouldn't have been an issue except he had to come back sheepishly to confirm what entree I wanted (not a huge deal, but verification that he should be writing the information down to avoid inefficiencies/potential mistakes). The bigger problem though was that I actually ordered a salted caramel tart, not the peanut butter one. I was honestly in an ambivalent mood about them (they're similar taste profiles AND look close to identical in the display counter), which is why I didn't give pushback on it, but it once again went back to the fact that basic hospitality 101 is getting the orders right. That goes to the core fundamentals of a restaurant, so it's something I'd emphasize in training going forward, especially since the other service aspects (demeanor, turnaround time, etc.) were great.Especially given that the food I've had here on various occasions has been off-the-charts good, this is still one of the best places in the county I've been to. They're tantalizing close to a perfect experience if they just tighten the reins a little (yes, I decided to use a horse reference as a Hunterdon homage. You're welcome).“

“I always love this place, my husband and I often come after church. Today, when we came in I got a garden tea flight and it was nothing short of amazing. I got lavender matcha, peach iced tea, vanilla chai and brown sugar cinnamon spicy chai. It came on an adorable serving board and with chocolate cookies. I AM IN LOVE! Every tea was careful crafted and tasted amazing! My husband got the unsweetened iced tea and loved it. My brother came with us and got the Turkish Coffee, he said it was delicious and it came with a Turkish delight. YUM!“

“An honest to goodness family owned and run restaurant that is not pretentious, just delicious. They are a Latin family but the main chef is trained in Italian cooking which is always very good. They are bringing in more and more Mexican dishes that are a always tasty. Always good specials on the Board. They're also big on breakfast meals to start your day. I am not a fan of credit card surcharges, just charge everyone the same even if it's a free Pennie's more. Just a general peeve that I have.“

Additionally, the lemon panini, accompanied by a fresh parsley or coriander sauce, and the crispy buttermilk chicken were delectable. A highlight was the homemade-tasting French fries. “Stopped in today to try the bagels and was not disappointed. Great bagels, good variety of spreads, clean and friendly staff. I had the jalapeno bagel with vegetable cream cheese and the bagel was slightly crisp on the outside with a soft inside and just the right amount of chew. The cream cheese was good with large pieces of cucumber and bell pepper mixed right in. There are some great bagel places around and this one is another good addition that I will grab when in the north part of town.“

“Just stopped in the deli for a quick savory bite after seeing some recommendations on Facebook. Although they were close for the day, the owner graciously open the door and suggested the ham and cheese croissant fresh out of the oven. It was the perfect light afternoon snack I needed. The deli is super clean, and a great place to grab a coffee, a sandwich, a drink, or a muffin. I’ll definitely be going back. The customer service was fabulous and you can tell they put great ingredients in their product as well as love. You can also stop and get plants while you’re there!“

“I put in a Google search for excellent breakfasts, and Theresa's Cafe came up. Boy, the reviews were right!We were seated quickly & invited to grab our own coffee at the coffee station. The coffee was on point.My wife had the corned beef & Swiss omelet (because after all, it was St Patrick's Day). I got a jump on Cinco de Mayo & had the best juevos rancheros that I've ever had!From the outside it looks like a little luncheonette, but with all the pics & signs on the inside walls, it looks like you're visiting family or friends.Speaking of that....we were from out of town, but most of the others there were locals, and they all said good morning to my wife & me.I need a good excuse to travel back this way so I have an excuse to stop.in here again.“

“This place is soo awesome! I had an absolutely delicious Blueberry muffin and the peanut butter iced latte. It was soo good I wanted to try another coffee. I got the cinnamon bun flavored ice coffee, that was my favorite. I totally recommend coming here for coffee and for breakfast..“

“We stopped in last minute on the way to a family meal and we picked up some sandwiches to go. The to-go sandwiches come with a bag of chips, but if you eat it there I think it might come with fries according to the menu. Our sandwiches were both tasty and mine felt light and healthy but with great flavor. It kind of feels like a diner inside, which was nice. Definitely a go to place for the fall vibes thirsty neck walks stores that are all connected to the café as well as a nice restaurant in the back there's free Wi-Fi and ample seating for anybody who is working remotely or just watching Netflix! “I attended an end of basketball season party here, this is such a beautiful and inviting place, it is nicely decorated, very clean and there is ample parking. I plan on visiting again during spring break for lunch. The menu is full of lunchtime favorites for adults and kids and the pricing is very reasonable. “That's is my favorite place to get my work lunch from good food and great prices. There cheeseburgers only cost 3.7 but taste like a 4 star burger. The ladies that work there are very polite and accommodate my needs for speedy service on my way to work. Mind you I reheat my burgers 3 to 6 hours later and their still delicious.One time my girlfriend took me to lost ladies grill for lunch. The environment was perfect for a lunch date. “An old Flemington school coffee shop reopened August 2023. Went for breakfast, delicious! Mel was my server, she was spot on with her service, I sat at the counter. It's way way better than the diner across town for breakfast. They are now serving dinner, Thursday, Friday, Saturday! “Most people 'expect' flowers and chocolate on Valentine's Day..... but my Valentine knows me too well. I got a Frozen Mocha from Citispot, and that made my day! The Coffee shop is a great place to sit and enjoy your favorite beverage and snack. If you do not have time to sit, they are great for your grab and go drink selections. “This place is a solid breakfast choice. I’ve tried this place a number of times and Bagel-4-U has never let me down. In fact, for local bagels, it’s my go-to spot. If you go here on Saturday morning expect a long line and service to take time.Most recently I had a Taylor ham egg and cheese on an toasted onion bagel. They did not skimp on the meat or on the egg. Two eggs and 2 pieces of ham. The meat and egg were nicely cooked and the bagel was toasted perfectly. The bagel did not taste as oniony as I’d like but it was still ok. The service was quick this time as I was the only one there on Thursday morning at 9:15AM. In my opinion, this is not the best bagel you will find in NJ but for this area, it’s good enough. Well done! I will continue to come here and enjoy your nice sandwiches.“
