“I really love what the owner, Woobin, has done for the space that was prior to now, an unsuccessful Korean bakery. He really brought it to life with his creative abilities that spill into interior design and not just his signature dishes he's perfected in the kitchen.Lately though, with the expansion of the business and increasing traffic of customers, I've noticed he's recruited the assistance of additional members of his team to help manage the restaurant. The owner and his business partner, A, will always be like family to me. I've been here for them since the beginning and it's really beautiful to see how they've evolved and cultivated a cult level status of love from all the locals in this area, not exclusive to only Leonia.Other than the one unfriendly lady working there, it's always a good and happy time at the one and only SS. “I really wanted to try their crepes and bingsoo, so I went there with my family today. We ordered 2 bubble teas, latte, mango bingsoo, 2 crepes. My sons could have fun playing board games while waiting for the orders to come out. The drinks were ready fast, but the bingsoo and crepes took a bit long. Considering the fact that there was only one worker at that moment, waiting wasn't that bad. While waiting for the rest of the order to come out, customers kept coming in. I was surprised and pretty impressed with how the worker (guy in glasses) managed to make all the drinks without any delays. When we finally got the mango bingsoo, we were so satisfied with the taste and quality. It is the best in the neighborhood and worth waiting!! Once another worker joined and started making the crepes, it came out fast. Their crepes were also delicious, as I expected. We were all happy and satisfied with what we got. The service was also good! Definitely come back and will become a regular. :)“

“Honestly, given the prices on the menu and how cheap things were (considering inflation and everything else), I wasn't expecting much. Boy, was I wrong!! The chicken was hot, the rice was fluffy, And the beans were soft, just like they should be. The salsa verde was a little bland and tasted like water blended with just hot peppers if you ask me. It's a heavy dish and I'm used to having some kind of pickled side vegetables as a Korean (like cultido?) but I realize this isn't always the standard for some cuisines. Anyway, all of what I ate for $9 was too good. I'll be coming back as long as the establishment continues to fight the status quo of this ever spiraling country.“

“I never understood all of the critics of this location. I order all the time usually from my car and usually a minute away and the food and drinks are ALWAYS ready by the time I get there. They are super fast and never get anything wrong. What else do people expect from a DD location?!?“

“A good place. Super friendly and attentive staff, courteous service. Tried a variety of fish. It’s ok - not great, but fine if you haven’t tried anything better as a reference point. A shot of cold vodka was excellent. Overall, recommended. And definitely recommended over the nearby Katz’s, which was a total disappointment.“

“787 in the village is a rarity in that it is 1) usually not jam packed (during week days) and 2) fully laptop friendly. I have two gripes though. One is that they recently got rid of their drip coffee, which was fantastic. Caught off guard, I ordered a whiskey-infused dulce latte that was $11 for 12 oz. That being said, it was fantastic.My second gripe is that they have very minimal food options. The only "hot" option is an empanada, which are often sold out. They are tiny and like $7. Tasty though.“

“Beautiful space and friendly staff. We were welcomed by very polite and courteous gentleman and even though we didn’t have a reservation (we didn’t know we needed one) they were able to accommodate us with no hesitation. Giovanni offered us nice drinks and tea along with a delicious shisha. She was very helpful when we had questions about flavors and was very attentive during the time we were there. Will definitely come back. Only thing to note is that if you enjoy a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere, try to go on the earlier part of the afternoon/night as it gets louder and feels more like a nightclub later in the evening.Vegetarian options: Dry nuts and French fries“

“When you walk in, you will be greeted by everyone behind the counter. The energy they created in the space is amazing. There’s lots of areas to sit and have a coffee, or do work. If you’re in the area and need a pit stop to rest your feet, or just good vibes, this is the place to be!“

They have wifi but it's super intimately spaced and I feel like I'm going to break my neck on those stairs, this place is short people friendly.Food: tastiest chicken Empanada I've had in awhile that isn't from the Criollos chain. It was juicy without being wet and flavorful. Wepa!!!!Drinks: my buddy got the Tres Leche and I had fomo because that thing was GOOOD. Drank half of hers lol. I got an iced Coquito latte because I'm a sweaty human even in winter and it helped regulate my temp but the taste was just OK. Her drink was hot and I was happy to sweat for it.Note: the iced drinks come in those clear bags with a straw like when Covid started allowing people to drink out of plastic bags from bars. We went to pick her kid up from tennis and I looked like an unhinged day drinker trying to relive spring break.Misc: Stopped by with a buddy to wait for tennis to let out over on 1st ave. Got a chicken Empanada, a Tres leche coffee and a coquito *flavored* latte. ( they have actual spirit infused stuff but i didn't get that).“

“First time I went to Fasano and I’m obsessed. The Bluefin tuna was simply exquisite!! Mind blowing!Its delicate flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture made it a true culinary delight! Needless to say, I'm already planning my next visit just to get that incredible dish again. ><>•••“
