“This restaurant is an absolute gem! The food is immaculate, with an incredible taste, texture, and a burst of spices in every bite. It’s like you can’t get enough! Their fried chicken is a standout. It’s crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside, with a distinct seasoning that lingers on your palate. The crispy chicken sandwich is equally impressive, and I can’t help but wonder if they have a secret recipe for their fillets. It’s definitely better than Mr. Krabs’! The sliders are made to perfection, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The quality of the food is simply exceptional, and it’s clear that they take pride in using only the finest ingredients. I got the original chicken with rice platters and one chicken mix gyro wrap. Excellent and momma is really hard to please. We’re transplants from NYC and with NYC being at the top of the dining out / take home capital it is tough for many States and counties to compete with the flavor and cooking styles easily found in NYC just around every corner.

OMGRYRO easily hits all the marks with the exception of the Jerk Chicken. Jerk Chicken flavor profile is no bueno in my humble opinion and that is because it doesn’t come close to tasting like jerk seasoning and can’t compare to true jerk style flavor.

Everything else is we ordered and devoured tasted great, high on flavor with decent portion sizes.

Hope they put the Jerk Season flavor to the chicken NYC style.“

“Been coming to this spot since I was 3! I was a bit apprehensive when I heard they had switched owners, and would be offering more than just pizza and would no longer just be cash only. However, the quality and customer service has never changed, they are just as warm and welcoming as usual. As long as I’m an Elizabeth resident, I’ll never stop coming here! Period!“

“Recently visited the Rahway location for the 1st time, after hearing good things about them. Super friendly staff to go along with their absolutely delicious meals. I would have taken pics of my meal but it was that good I couldn’t wait to start eating. I ordered the chicken platter and it was well flavored and portions were perfect for me, not to mention the price was reasonable. We also got baklava for dessert and it was the best I’ve had! “This is one of my favorite places to eat when I am in Manhattan. The food is always consistently excellent and the portion sizes for what you pay is very fair. I love both the combination platter and sandwich. I ordered the sandwich this time because I thought the platter would be too much on a hot humid day but the sandwich was perfectly fine. A soft pita was loaded with chopped gyro and chicken with fresh veggies and topped with their white sauce. It was so good and the meats were so juicy and tender. I just love eating it at the cement benches at the tiny park near by and just people watching. It is a real experience and one of the things you need to try when you come to Manhattan and to the MoMA across the street.“

“Worked in the area for quite some time and decided to give it a taste . I had Nashville quesadilla with crispy chicken instead of the original way cooked . I asked for it to be cooked extra crispy, which it was made to like. I will be back again.“

“Humble seems to be the best word to summarize this restaurant. The men who run it seem to have a great rapport with their customers; they’ve been there for 20+ years and it shows. They were kind and accomodating. The food was plated carefully and was pretty taste. My only complaints were putting margarine on my pancakes without asking and the tiny plastic utensils, which left my hands covered in syrup. However both of those go to the restaurant being unpretentious. There’s no atmoshere to speak of but it was clean. I’d eat here again but probably wouldn’t go out of my way.“

The restaurant is busy because their food is worth it. It is inappropriate for anyone to suggest that their location means they should sell their good food for cheap.“

“After a tasty round of appetizers including tangy baked Fava beans, creamy smooth hummus, baba ghanoush and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside falafel, we feasted on two lamb dishes, one of which was perfectly grilled, and an order of couscous with vegetables. I still remember today how great everything tasted. Service was friendly and efficient and the decor included lamps and accessories imported from Morocco. Portions were generous and they provide containers for the leftovers. You can only eat so much! Highly recommended.“
