Yummy lobster bisque, I ordered a 2nd bowl after finishing the first! Fried calamari was yummy as well. The raw oysters were perfect and the boil with Hook & Reel's own Cajun sauce was outstanding. Our server, Moe, was friendly and very efficient; he makes your dining experience error-free so you can relax and enjoy the meal. The Manager here gets credit for a well-run ship! The crabs, mussels and shrimp were FRESH and DELECTABLE. As an investor in restaurants I'm very critical when visiting any restaurant and not often impressed even with well known critically acclaimed restaurants. It's very rare when a place has truly incredible food with every appetizer and entree as well as first class VIP vibes for service. You could literally taste the passion and care put into every plate with beautifully prepared flavorful abundant meals. In fact, it was the first time in almost a decade I brought home leftovers as the meal was delicious and easily sufficient for two people. Our entire table raved about their meals and the attentive but not obtrusive service was always there to refill our wine and assist without any of us having to look up for service. The food alone would have made for a great night but what truly made it memorable besides the great waitstaff was the manager, Eli. When was the last time a manager, GM or owner greated you at your table to share a polite, interesting and passionate conversation about the food and why they love sharing this experience with their valued customers? He made our entire table feel like VIPs and made perfect recommendations for wine and dessert. It felt more like we were in someone's home as we were there for close to 3-1/2 hours talking, eating, drinking and laughing. We came for lunch at 3pm - and it’s hard to find decent restaurant food during lunch hours so we weren’t expecting much, but we enjoyed everything! “Had to drive over 45 minutes to get to this place. I’m giving this a 5 star because this is probably the best fish soup you are going to get in NJ. There are however much better places for this in Flushing Queens which would be double the driving time for me. The fish soup is good. Not the best. For the best, my go to place is still this place called Fish With You in Flushing. Give this place a try! Everything is good.

Update: had the comb for 2. The fish came under flavored. Needed some time to marinade in the soup. After it was better. We got the fried pork belly which is good. But can’t have too much because it is heavy. The glutinous cubes were fried so it was crispy on the outside and doughy on the inside. The syrup is used to dip and it serves as a good dessert to finish the meal off.“

“Lunch service was nice. However my brother ordered a Paella and there was hardly any rice in it. Given the fact the waiter insisted it would feed 3 I'm glad he ordered his solo cause it was barely enough for him. I ordered a chicken breast and chorizo lunch special. It was good. Aside from the spicy flavors it was great. The service was fantastic. It's no wonder they've been around for a long time. My brother recommended this place since he's been coming here a long time. “Simply known as 'The Armory' this mainly seafood place has an old wartime feel, big brick building with lots of windows along the water/pier/outside bar. We walked in and were greeted and seated within 5 minutes. Amazing menu, nothing bad at all (four of us all tried different items), the calimari is not overly crunch, the pork chops were thick and well cooked/cut, I had jumbo shrimp, but the word jumbo doesn't do the dish justice. Extremely well curated menu, sangria was to die for, and we had a pinapple/cinnimon dessert that was really good (light because the meal was so heavy). Don't have to dress up, a nice button down shirt and nice shorts/pants for men is just fine, but don't go like a slob, it's still a nice place. Lots of birthdays and celebrations going on, for us it was a saturday night dinner with old friends. Thank you Armory, the service and food were top notch!!!“
