The Roast Beef Tartine was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Great coffee, friendly service, and an overall very enjoyable spot in New York. Definitely a place we’d love to visit again.”“

“What a delightful little breakfast/brunch place!!! We went here straight from the airport on our way into town, luggage and all, and it was perfect! We sat in the little outside area with the fans because the A/C was broken inside. My mom ordered the Grey Dog’s Breakfast with her eggs scrambled, French toast, and bacon, and it’s served with home fries. I ordered the egg and cheese croissant minus the parsley (not my fave) and added bacon. I’m picky about my home fries, so the server offered me french fries instead. We had exactly zero complaints about our meal. The portions are big, the eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly, and the French toast had this sweet butter with it that I can’t even compare to anything because it was so unique and delicious. The home fries ended up being DELICIOUS. The French fries were also good. I enjoyed the seasoning on them as well. I’m not a big fan of the thing shoe string fries, but these were good! The three employees we encountered were all very friendly and I would be more than happy to eat here again any time.“

“Perfect 5 star review. Since the moment I ented I only encountered great customer service, I had a great talk with one of the workers and he served me a pink lemonade and a cookie. Even though the order was simple, the execution and taste left a lasting impression. The atmosphere felt cozy and sweet. Will definitely come back again!“

“Vale’s Kafe & Kitchen is a hidden gem in Union City. The atmosphere is cozy and charming, like you’re visiting a friend. The service is professional and attentive. The food … oh so good! Clean and flavorful. The portions are just right, not outrageous. The coffee is also very good. The only setback I see is the entrance is not
accessible. I would suggest a ramp for those customers that have difficulty walking up/down steps. Also hours could be extended, say to include dinner on the weekend (Fri/Sat). Otherwise a must see.“

“Loved every dish- fluke with black tea, mint and peach(who knew raw fish and fruit went so well together?), amazing grilled artichokes and grilled eggplant. Barely touched my pasta with preserved lemon because I was full, but it was delicious. My daughter’s burger was iconic. The Platonic ideal of hamburgers. Coffee was also delicious. If we had not made a plan to go to La Cabral for dessert and more coffee, I am sure dessert would have been equally excellent.Service was excellent and our waitress was knowledgeable and interested in the food. The fluke reminded me of the first time I went to USC in 1988. I had a plate with raw marinated tuna, raw salmon and raw scallops. The little heaps of fish were so pretty on the plate with their contrasting colors.“

“Diogo is the best! Drinks are so refreshing and hit the spot especially right after work. We arrived around 5:30 when the place just started to get busy. Diogo helped us grab a table so we didn’t need to stand at the bar after a long work day“

“Wow. I have to say that I found this place on a whim working around the area, and this place is a gem! Want to thank my girl, Naya, for being sweet for getting my food done near closing. Plus major compliments to the Chef because my chickgrilla sandwich was everything I imagined it to be—coming from someone who doesn’t prefer grilled chicken on her sandwiches, the chickgrilla was very flavorful and moist (not soggy tho!!!). The goat cheese was a perfect compliment and not overpowering at all. I literally ate my sandwich on the commute back home 😂 Looking forward to coming back and trying the others~ yummy 🥪“

“My opinion is 9.1/10. Def lived up to hype. I had the yuzu, has a lemon flavor and I did enjoy it. If back in the area would try other flavors I heard the boba is what they are know for. “The food is absolutely fabulous. It is presented beautifully. We were going to go to the place next door, but due to the wait there, we ended up at Good Thanks. Such a delightful mistake. So much so that we came down again all the way from East Harlem to come back once more before the end of our trip. This is a must visit.“

“I took a sip of my friend’s strawberry matcha and it was really good. I think it’s on the sweeter side but that’s my preference for matcha. They have a lot of fun flavors like banana matcha and creative ones. If I were to get matcha from somewhere as someone who usually doesn’t like matcha because of the bitterness, I would go here for matcha and to try the different flavors.“

“Wow… Their shrimp tempura rice ball was absolutely amazing, and I don’t even usually like sushi. The young lady working the cashier was so sweet and friendly. “There are places you go… and then there are places you experience. ETERI is the latter.
From the moment you walk in, you feel it—the design, the energy, the attention to every detail. It’s one of those rare spaces where everything just works. Effortless, elevated, and incredibly inviting.
The coffee? Best best best.
The Coquito? Non-negotiable. Get it!!
But what really makes ETERI stand out is that nothing feels random. From the design to the service, everything is top notch. It’s curated, intentional, and done with a level of care you don’t come across often.
Whether you live there or you’re just visiting, this isn’t just a stop—it’s a place you’ll want to come back to again and again.
My girlfriends and I visited and stayed in that area for 4 days and went there everyday for coffee. People who live there are so lucky!“
“We stumbled upon this coffee shop and what an incredible find!! Not only is it super cute inside with comfortable seating but the service was out of this world. Andrew was very welcoming and then made the best drinks we have ever had. I got an Eva Latte Special and my partner got strawberry smoothie - and both were 10/10. Everything was absolutely delicious!“

“Just went to Mirror in the Woods for the second time since moving to the neighborhood, and it didn’t disappoint. The space is intimate and cozy, perfect for cold weather, with an excellent selection of fresh teas. The matcha white hot chocolate was outstanding, and we loved the tofu and mushroom entrée along with the avocado mochi bites. Beautiful presentation all around — truly 10/10. Already looking forward to our next visit.“

“I will say 9 dollars is a steep price point for coffee in this economy but it’s got caffeine to match maybe 50 dollars worth of lattes anywhere else.
By far the best Viet coffee I’ve ever had, a strong note of chicory from the beans that washes over your palette with only an affect I can describe as taking a shot of alcohol (in a good way I promise)“

“My wife and I had the most lovely date night here. Customer service - for me - is what makes a place stand out in NY. Every single employee was the absolute best. So passionate, insightful and kind.
But yes. The food is also superb. Each dish is a little art piece. You can tell you are eating something that has been lovingly tested and improved upon. Such a treat.
And then the drinks. I had never heard of a single spirit on the menu. Had a blast jumping around and being taken on a ride.
And good hand soap. Gotta love good hand soap.
So yeah. It’s great. Check it out.“

The Popcorn Chicken is crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned just right — seriously addictive.
