“So much better than your run-of-the-mill Chinese takeout place! Their hot and sour soup is extremely flavorful and not watered down and uses quality ingredients! Their cold peanut noodles are wonderful. The sweet and sour pork is lightly fried and so crispy and airy. It is one of the rare places to get quality sweet and sour pork where they serve actual meat instead of stuffing it with fat... it's so delicate and melts in your mouth. The servers are very helpful and kind.“

“Wow. What a great surprise. Near my hotel and found on a walk. Ordered just two dishes. Both soup dumplings. One steamed, one pan fried. The pan fridge pork was amazing. So, so good. Perfect wrapper thickness, great flavorful soup and savory meat dumpling. I wilm return for these alone. The steamed ones all ruptured so the experience was not awesome but they were tasty nonetheless.“

“My friend and I often eat at Red Bamboo before or after seeing a film at Film Forum or IFC. Today Red Bamboo was closed so we tried this place (he used to live in the West Village and had been there before and liked it). The wonton in chili oil appetizer was honestly pretty awful: they tasted like freezer burn. However, everything else was excellent. The cucumber salad was good; the udon noodles with barbecue seitan was excellent, and the seitan in black pepper sauce was one of the best dishes I’ve had in memory. Also this place is extremely cheap. The main dishes were like 12 and 15 dollars each. If it weren’t for the crappy wontons this place would easily get a 5 from me.“

“Din Tai Fung is one of those places where you know what you are going to order before you go. I expected the chocolate bao to be too sweet but it was really one of those bites where you’d just shocked how they got the taste palate right. While the price is a little steep for just 6 boa, I will still recommend it. Crab and Pork Bao was also a wow. It’s great to see real ginger and people making the boa right in front of you to know that you’re really eating fresh food. The flavors on that were very nice so much so that we got a second bao. Overall 8.7/10 because of price concerns but otherwise it is very flavorful food.“

“From the moment I walked in, I could see why this restaurant has earned such a loyal following. The interior is stylish, clean, and welcoming, with a warm atmosphere that makes it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. Even though it was quite busy, the restaurant felt well organised rather than hectic.

What stood out the most was the staff. Everyone was genuinely friendly, attentive, and worked incredibly hard to keep everything running smoothly. They greeted customers with a smile, checked in at the right moments, and made sure everyone was looked after despite the constant flow of diners. Their professionalism really added to the overall experience.

The food was excellent, arriving fresh, hot, and beautifully presented. Every dish tasted well prepared, and it was obvious that care goes into both the ingredients and the presentation. It's the kind of place where you can tell they aim for consistency, and they certainly delivered during my visit.

Seeing so many people willing to wait for a table says a lot about the restaurant's reputation. After eating here, I completely understand why it's so popular. Between the delicious food, welcoming atmosphere, attractive interior, and outstanding customer service, it's a place I'd happily recommend and look forward to visiting again.“

“Awesome scallion pancakes, hot and sour soup, and chicken fried rice. We eat here as soon as we land from Saint Louis each time we visit NYC. Staff is extremely attentive and always on top of anything you need.“
