“We walked by Sombrero Restaurant last night needing a place to eat before a 7pm show. We were seated immediately. The restaurant was clean and lively. The wait staff was friendly and the food/beverages were excellent. Prices were very reasonable. A great choice. Definitely recommend.“
“Folks from California in particular like to complain that New York doesn't have good Mexican food, which is of course patently untrue. You just have to know where to look, what to order. I got the poblano mole here which I would definitely recommend. (I also had the handmade tortillas with this.) My husband got a burrito, which was fine, I think, but no "mission burrito" (IYKYK). Both of us had clean plates though -- the testament of a good meal I thought the salsas that came with the chips and salsa were all pretty good too. Nothing was mind blowing but the service was super friendly and I walked away with my food cravings pretty satisfied.“
“The place is awesome! My first time here. The experience of the colors, music, people and the atmosphere is everything a person can ask for IN ADDITION to the amazing flavors of the food.My waiter was Daniel, who I believe is also one of the bartenders. Super nice guy, friendly and very attentive.I’ll be back again and again and again!“
“We came here on the recommendation of a friend and even with her glowing review, we were still blown away! Every dish was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and the prices were a steal. Our family had the truffle quesadillas, the carne asada tacos, and the langosta tacos. We shared an order of guac and the kids had the flan and churros for dessert. Great dinner; we can't wait to return!“
“We enjoyed the food and amazing service here. The ambiance is cozy and perfect if you’re going in a date night. Also this is a BYOB place so you can get your own bottle. The Guac & chips were fresh and delicious. The tacos were good too.We also tried a new dish - Salta Patras Ceviche and it was delicious.Special mentioned to the Tres leches which wasn’t over sweet.Definitely try out this place. It deserves more spotlight.“
“I took my fiancé here for his birthday dinner last Saturday and it did not disappoint. My whole party loved the food and the drinks. They are definitely not cheap with the alcohol lol. The music is great. The vibe is amazing. Our waitress was Lorena and she was awesome. We loved this place so much we went back again yesterday for a date night. Amazing food and drinks again. Our waitress was Lorena again and she was great. There was live music by Rubia and she was so sweet and has a beautiful voice. We are definitely going to be regulars. This restaurant is amazing.“
“It is completely Perfect, the best Friday Date Night in the entire area. The food is delicious, excellent. All the staff is very friendly, our waiter is the best, he made good recommendations for drinks and food. They have complementary Valet Parking. I definitely recommend it, it's 1“
“Amazing food and service! We ordered the beef nachos to share and I got the taco with steak and boy do they bless it with the portions! I was visiting and a friend brought me here so definitely would want to come back next time I’m around!“
“El concepto es muy padre y bonito. Me sentí en México por un momento. El sabor de la comida excelente. Pero mi mesera me descuidó y nunca me preguntó cómo estaba todo, nunca pasó a preguntar si ocupaba algo. No se ganó la propina, pero ya me la cobraron en la cuenta.“
“Mamsitas offers an authentic Mexican dining experience with vibrant decor and a lively atmosphere. The menu features standout dishes like handcrafted tacos and rich mole poblano. The service is friendly and efficient, making for a pleasant meal from start to finish. With reasonable prices and delicious margaritas, Mamsitas is a fantastic choice for anyone craving genuine Mexican flavors in a festive setting. Highly recommended for a casual dinner or a festive night out!“
“This is my first time at this restaurant. My friend found it for us and he specifically picked it because he heard it had good cocktails. we ordered four different cocktails. All of them were pretty good. I wish I remembered the names of them but the blue cup with the pink outside was one that was my favorite. By far the ceviche was bomb. The guac a little bit of flavor for me, but mixing it with the ceviche made that even pretty darn good. Really enjoyed the fish taco over the other two pictured. we got the Maduros which were fresh and yuka fries. we also got the octopus which I thoroughly enjoyed. The chipotle, shrimp in the pineapple was honestly not my favorite. My friend really enjoyed it as he enjoyed sweet dishes, but it was too sweet for me. Overall, I definitely recommend a place. Definitely get the ceviche and the octopus! And I'm not even a big seafood person to say that. The service was great, and while we were there, the waiter even gave us a shot on the house. So check it out.“
“I cannot sing the praises of this place and the staff enough! We had a long day at the museum and we were all starving and the kids were very cranky. We took forever trying to find a place that they would all find something to eat at but that place didn't work out so we came here not realizing how lucky we were. After having a quick glance at the menu I realized two of my children would probably not eat anything. Two of the ladies that work there helped us work it out to piece together a meal for them with components they already have. It took quite a while figuring everything out but they were patient and helpful. The food was outstanding and the cocktails and mocktails were phenomenal. I wish I lived closer because this would be a regular place for me. Highly recommend!“
“Stop by for dinner without a reservation and The Manager and hostess were very accommodating on a very busy night . We had the fish empanadas that were deliciousA couple of MargaritasGrilled Branzino and fish schnitzelA wonderful experienceKudos to the CheffExcellent service, fantastic food and great atmosphere!Definitely a special place“
“Best tacos in New York CityWhen I come to New York, all I think about is Rostaco. It's really delicious here tooTacos and Consome are steamedIf you see it while passing by, be sure to try it!!!This is a really good restaurant that locals know!!!“
“Excellent Restaurant, very cozy, clean, tidy, very attentive and helpful staff, I loved the Guacamole with salad and nachos, my steak tacos were super delicious, the rice and beans were not to mention, my cocktail was excellent... we will definitely return“
“Tacombi UES is the best Mexican on the upper east side. The food, service, and drinks are all oustanding. Mauricio is also one the best bartenders I’ve ever had. He is personable and attentive and makes fantastic drinks. Highly recommend tacombi UES to anyone looking for authentic Mexican street tacos and fantastic drinks made by Mauricio.“
“I have been going to G's for over 20 years. The food is excellent. I love the breakfast burrito with chorizo, and their tortas, and their flautas. Everything thing is outstanding. They make great coffee The service is awesome. Very nice.“
“Some clients took me here on a business trip. I'm from Texas and was skeptical about Mexican food in NYC but this place was amazing. Drinks were strong and food was absolutely delicious, plenty of options on the menu as well, highly recommend!“
“Came to this place not knowing what to expect but saw lots of great reviews and I can absolutely say it lived up to its ratings. Me and the fam got to try the tenders(hugee), ribs, rotisserie chicken, burgers, general tsos and chopped cheese sandwich and OH MY was it DELICIOUS. The people here were also very friendly and accommodating, they also had good music playing in the background. Definitely recommend this spot to anyone in or out of town. I will be coming back for more as it seems they updated their menu with some great new stuff that I can't wait to try. Small but tasty restaurant!Vegetarian options: Veggie Panini, Veggie Wrap, Veggie Burrito and Veggie BurgerKid-friendliness: Very Friendly and have kid options.“
“Service was really great, all of the different positions of staff were very attentive! Go for the guac and 7 salsas, will not disappoint. The criticisms, I had were surrounding the price points, and menu variety. The prices were absolutely too high for the portions! I understand a small, curated menu, but it was too eclectic for what it was!“
“Nice atmosphere, really tasty and cheap meals. We had lunch, 2 people for $26 which is great for the area. Very generous plates and burritos, with drink included and little carrot cake for desert. Only if you really eat a lot will be able to finish the plate! Recommend!!“
“Embarking on a culinary expedition to this local taqueria, I found myself ensconced in a veritable fiesta of flavors and textures, a testament to the prowess of the owner, Jose, whose recommendations became the lodestar of our gastronomic journey. The Steak a la Mexicano Tacos were a triumph of generosity, with portions scoring a robust 9/10, each bite a harmonious blend of succulence and spice, though the freshness fluttered at a 7/10, leaving a slight yearning for the zest of just-plucked produce. The Chicken Fajita Quesadilla was a vibrant tapestry of flavor, meriting an 8/10, with the cheese melting into the well-seasoned chicken in a decadent embrace, though the ingredients, while robust, hovered at a 7/10, occasionally lacking the punch of peak harvest vivacity. The Barbacoa Soup was a simmering cauldron of comfort, its depth and complexity cocooning the soul in warmth, yet it too danced around the 7/10 mark for freshness, suggesting a slight detour from the garden's embrace. The service, however, was unparalleled, a perfect 10/10, with staff moving with the precision and grace of seasoned culinarians, ensuring every need was anticipated and met with a smile.Presentation was an 8/10, each dish a canvas where color and form played in delightful harmony, inviting the eye to feast long before the palate. Overall, the experience was a solid 8.5/10, a delectable sojourn that promises to beckon the taste buds back to its doors. This taqueria, under the sage guidance of Jose, melds tradition with a hint of modernity, crafting an ambiance where each visit unfurls new layers of culinary delight.“
“It was my first time visiting here. It was an amazing experience!.? You must try the frozen margaritas. ?The customer service was outstanding.????? While at the bar "Alexa" was very attentive to all out needs and making sure we had the best experience ever! I would definitely come back soon! I'm gonna recommend this place to my family and friends!??“
“Came here today for lunch with my husband and it was not only delicious food, but the service was amazing. The women were so kind and the restaurant was beautiful, colorful, and cozy. We ordered the Quesabirria and it was out of this world 10/10 stars! I highly recommend coming to this place for some fresh flavors and for a nice and friendly atmosphere.“
“The exquisite food with a flavor of Mexico, the excellent service Valeria and Irma are always friendly and attentive to their customers, they are two of the best, from the Passaic Fortress 204 Hope Ave we are in the county of Ocean County and we travel more than once time to enjoy the best authentic Mexican food, and the excellent service of Valeria and Irma and thanks to the entire team that makes up the fortress of hope ????????????????“
“Absolutely delicious Oaxacan food. I've always wanted to visit Oaxaca and this place definitely gave us a taste of what it will be like. The restaurant is small with a few tables but it wasn't crowded when we went for lunch on a holiday Monday. My boyfriend and I shared the mole poblano, mole oaxaqueño, and molcajete. The mole dishes came with rice, beans, and warm tortilla and I also got a small horchata. Everything came out piping hot and fresh, bursting with flavor with every bite. Nothing was too spicy but if you like sweeter things, I would highly recommend the mole poblano.“
“I love love love this place. Best steak tacos around!! Caesar is an amazing bartender! Keeps my glass full and cold! ❤️Whether it’s a hard day or a great day I always leave this place smiling ?Catch us here for amazing taco Tuesdays ?“
“I recently hosted my bridal shower here and it was the best experience I could have asked for. From start to finish, Victoria was patient and accessible for any questions. The atmosphere was great and the food was even better! I did not have to worry about dietary restrictions for my guests (vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free) as they had them all covered! I would definitely recommend Uno Mas for your next event, as my experience was seamless.“
“Ate at Ponche Taqueria yesterday with a friend before seeing a show. Great food, and freindly service! Menu is basic, but offers plenty. Guacamole was delicious as were the taco combo plates! Get off the beaten path a bit & you will be rewarded!“
“went for the bottomless brunch... the food was good and the drinks were middle strength... the waitress was THE BEST. favorite part of the meal was the shrimp ceviche and the fruit cups with mango puree.Vegetarian options: There isn't much for vegetarians/vegans... many things have meat, cheese, crema, sour cream, etc... the safest things are the plantains and the mushroom tacos“
“Thank you very much for this moment. Excellent food, attentive service with good advice. The service team is superbDish: mole del puebla and vg quesadillasNacho starterDessert: plantain flambéed with rum and scoop of vanilla ice creamDrink: large iced lemon margaritaSee you soon ❤️“
“Can you say “las Catrinas” after a few of these delicious must cocktails , in a gringo acento ?This is and will be an Astoria icon. When the aliens arrive , this will be their first stop , bc the food and drinks its out of this world.GPAR our sever (hard to rsvp as well ) just an amazing person, always smiling always there when you need him , just like Superman!Cheers and thank you guys !“
“This is a great place that I unexpectedly stumbled upon. From the outside it kind of just looks like a small convenience store, but once we ordered and got our food were were so happy. You basically just order your food and they bring it to you after it's done. I ordered the chicken burrito and it was packed with flavor. Another person in my party ordered the chicken quesadilla and is still raving about it! It's really a great find on 9th Avenue and will definitely be back.“
“I’ve been here on multiple occasions and the food is always delicious and fresh. It’s so good, I would compare it to my grandmother’s cooking. The gentleman who’s typically the waiter is very nice and recommends the best dishes. The staff in general is very welcoming. I read through the reviews and have this to say: if you don’t understand true Mexican cuisine, culture and ambience, go to this restaurant and find out for yourself. It’s an experience, it’s something Rutherford needed, and it will be my new favorite spot. Taste is subjective but it’s clear some people don’t understand the hard work and effort that goes behind making this place possible. Keep up the good work Nacho Libre team! You gained a loyal customer.“
“Recently came here and the burgers are good! It’s the sister store to George’s Deli on 28th and 37th street. But anyways the place is relatively new but it has way more to offer it’s not just a place where you get deli food but now they offer Mexican dishes. On top of that they have a variety of Mexican products! I feel right at home here. Also one of the employees told me they sell specific mexican dishes on the weekends like barbacoa. Definitely recommend you visit!“
“We recently had the pleasure of dining here today. This restaurant brings out the food of its people with great prices. The tacos are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the flavors are truly authentic. We tried the fried pork, beef birria and chicken birria tacos and churros they were excellent. The tortillas are made fresh daily. The staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, we had a wonderful meal. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves authentic Mexican food.“
“Being from southern California, I had high high hopes for this birria and consome and I was not disappointed! A great deal for 3 tacos for $12. Their mulitas were absolutely heavenly and that consome was cooked to perfection I drank the entire thing after dipping my tacos and mulita. We took these to go and sat at a nearby dog park to eat it. There was on line when we went (a Friday at around lunch time) which I was pleasantly surprised by! While we were waiting, another patron eagerly exclaimed that she had been looking for this food truck and wasn't aware that they had moved locations so it's evident this spot is beloved and sought out. Will definitely be returning in the future.“
“Me and my daughter, enjoyed this restaurant so much during our Mommy and Me weekend! The atmosphere was laid back and quite relaxing. The service was superb and the food was so good, we had to order food to bring home. I would give this establishment 6 stars if I could. We were both very pleased and we will be dining here again very soon. If you have not been here, you should definitely give them a visit. Peace and Love, Chele from the Block.“
“This is the best Mexican food I've had in Jersey!! It's family owned and the family is incredibly friendly. The food is authentic, it tastes like it was served straight out of abuela's kitchen. The homemade sauces and dishes are delicious and unique in taste. They serve birria tacos occasionally which are to die for !!! The place is cozy and bright. They deliver, prices are reasonable and the food tastes great even reheated. I love this spot!!!“
“We had tamale, tacos, and more, everything was delicious and great portions!!! Definitely one of the best taco places in the city. The guys running the store were very nice and hospitable, the store is very clean. We had a great time eating amazing food! High recommended!“
“This is a very underrated truck in the city. One of the best birria spots I've tried in a while. I tried this place on new years, and it was sooo good, I dragged any of my friends that mentioned anything about food that day. I first got the birria torta, which was a heavenly sandwich, and a great deal for 10$. I also went back for a birria quesadilla, which was also really good! The service was quick both times, and I really appreciate them keeping reasonable prices on new years, with 1 dollar waters and 2 dollar sodas! I can't speak too much about the ambiance because I assume this was a temporary location for new years, but I would follow this truck anywhere. No food pics, food was gone way before I ever thought about taking a picture.“
“I wanted to leave 3.5 stars, because we only tried short rib tacos. I was very pleasantly surprised by these tacos. Fantastic tacos. We had a regular house margarita and a Don's Paloma. Both are very good. They also have a large selection of tequilas at all price levels. The staff is very friendly and courteous. I even forgot take pics!“
“Wow! After looking at many places on Columbus that just didn’t thrill us, we were SO happy to find the incredibly delicious Mexican cuisine at Nina’s last night I had the Cochinita Pibil (with an orange habanero salsa on the side that will let you know who’s boss…) and my old friend had Enchiladas Mole with chicken. Excellent and authentic food with warm, friendly staff, and a great bar selection with many tequilas. Nina’s is great! Reasonable too! Glad to give credit where it’s due to this 7mo old establishment that I hope stays for many years! Will return for more!“
“I got the Gutierrez Torta and it is one of the best tortas I have ever tried! The horchata was quite satisfying too and the staff were friendly. We did have a couple of miscommunications with the order and the meats on the tacos were a little dry. But, the empanadas and tostadas were both delicious!I'd certainly recommend stopping by even if just for that one torta“
“We absolutely love coming here! The service is friendly, the food is delicious, the drinks are yummy. A big shout out to Lily! What a beautiful soul and a superior attitude! Thank you for the best food and drinks! Salute!Parking: Lots of spots to park.Kid-friendliness: The kids love the colorful atmosphere“
“This place is amazing! I’m shocked there’s not more reviews raving about it. I started working in the area recently and although there’s taco spots on every block, I make the 10 minute walk here every day with no problem. The food is amazing, the meat tender and not dry. And the staff is extremely kind and welcoming. The lady makes my food with love every time and I feel at home. Thank you guys so much for your hospitality. Will be coming here forever :)“
“Was visiting from Miami and had the pleasure of having Eddie take care of me. He made sure to take note of my food allergies, and recommended some amazing drinks. He also gave me tons of great recommendations of what to do while here on vacation. Thank you for everything!“
“Great service (10 stars), delicious food and such a fun atmosphere for all ages!! Super appreciative for our waitress CATALINA!!!!! She was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. In a crowded restaurant she made us feel like we were her only table! ??? Thank You ! ? Shout out to the DJ !!! Loved the variety and smooth transition of the music . ?“
“I hadn't been here in about a decade but I decided to give it a try. Service is super friendly and the food was surprisingly fresh. Keep in mind I purchased a couple of Chinese dishes and they reminded me of how Americanized Chinese take out was prepared years ago before many places decided to jazz it up and raise the prices dramatically. The General Tso's chicken and Chicken with Chinese vegetables hit the spot and the price tag for 2 lunch specials and a can of soda was just over $20. One thing I noticed was that the prices on the "Tex Mex" style food seemed a bit higher than what they were worth.“
