“We love Jimmy Tomato's. My husband and I are vegan and they will make all the Indian vegetarian pies vegan. The veggies are exceptionally good crisp and perfect. I can't stand what veggies past their prime. I will not eat and never go back. The freshness of the veggies is top notch. Be forewarned the Indian pies are very spicy! “We have been coming to Sals for long long time. The food especially the Cheese Steak sandwich and fries are the best. When it’s cold outside Sal makes a pasta fagioli that’s out of this world. “A Hidden Gem in Wharton That Keeps Getting Better!

This evening we had a truly wonderful dinner at Reno’s Pizzeria and Restaurant in Wharton, NJ. From start to finish, everything about our visit was top-notch. Our server, Shirley, was incredibly attentive—friendly, prompt, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. What really stood out, though, was that Reno himself came by to check in and ensure we were enjoying our evening. It’s not every day you see that level of care and pride from an owner, and it absolutely elevated the experience.

We started with two fantastic appetizers—the eggplant rollatini and little neck clams in marinara sauce. Both were delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. For entrees, we chose the mahi mahi in mango sauce special and the shrimp scampi over linguini. Each dish was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. Compliments to the chef—truly excellent work in the kitchen!

We ended our meal on a sweet note with the mini cannolis, which were perfectly crispy and bursting with flavor.

Although Reno’s (formerly Maria’s) has been a staple in town for some time, their recent expansion into a charming sit-down dining area has added so much to the local dining scene. It’s cozy, welcoming, and a perfect spot for a relaxed and satisfying dinner. Reno’s is a real asset to Wharton, and we’ll definitely be back! (PS It's BYOB!)“

“I called to ask for reservation for 10 people after a concert, giving them only 1/2 hour notice. They set up a beautiful table for us. We ordered 3 pies that were very good along with a great large specialty salad. We finished with cannoli and fresh perfectly cooked zeppoli. They even let us use a coupon right in their menu. We were served quickly, but were not rushed in the least.
Staff was courteous and responsive. We recommend giving them a try“

“You'll experience a lot of local love at Natales which is a local restaurant/pizzeria that some may say is stuck in a time warp based on the older and now kitschy wallpaper but it's a great background for Italian food or maybe even a period movie set.
Packed on my visit over the holidays which had at least one group waiting for a table.
A large staff of young folks hustle out the orders and wait tables. Very attentive too as we were asked a few times how everything was and if we needed anything. We had only stopped for pizza and not even in the main dining room so +2 for effort.

“I got take out from this place before and was pleasantly surprised surprise with pizza. I love a good Neapolitan pizza cooked in wood oven. Flavors were amazing and size was perfect. We ordered the garlic knots and there was 6 of us and only 6 garlic knots in the portion, our server who was the kindest ever gave us extra 🥺. Literally had the BEST service there I am not sure what the workers name is but whoever served us today I love you your the best!! He even took photos of us and the music there was so good. I really liked this one song that played and I said it out loud, im not sure if someone heard me but it played again and i was so happy!! “Nice local pizza shop! We went here for the first time and enjoyed the food. The food was hot and fresh and delicious, and it met expectations.

The only recommendation is that it would be nice if they had the soda machine rather than the bottles of soda / water. But other than that, everything was great. And prices were very reasonable.

“Carmine's is our go to place whenever we crave Italian or a cheesesteak. Husband and I were there yesterday for late lunch. Excellent pasta fagioli soup, huge slices of pizza, and overstuffed, cheesesteak. Great service and reasonable prices. We were informed there is an extra charge if you're not paying cash. This is becoming a common practice and we were informed of it. Server was excellent and made us feel welcome. I was asked if I knew of any pizza parlors served gluten free and of course I recommended Carmine's.“

This is a hopping place, especially Friday & Saturday nights. I recommend ordering ahead before you're hungry for when you are hungry, or waiting until after the dinner-time rush.“
