“Stopped in on St. Patrick's Day for some traditional food for takeout. Generous portion of corned beef and wedge of cabbage with boiled potatoes and steamed carrots. All perfectly done and delicious. Will go back soon for a beer and to try the fish & chips.“

“It is not your regular bar just to get yourself a glass of beer, it is a place to enjoy friends, hear music, and try and forget the words of the day. Very crowded but not shoulder to shoulder. Just close together. It is the perfect place to celebrate St. Patty's Day or any holiday with a group of friends or strangers that are about to become friends.“

“We stopped in for lunch and had a really good time. Our server, Anthony, was extremely friendly and on point throughout our whole visit. We aren’t local to the area but between the great food and service we would go out of our way to eat there again.“

“Pretty good place to shoot pool at, especially on a weekend night. Last Sat nite was crowded (which is good, because I like to socialize with lots of people, on weekends), and was very inexpensive to shoot, there (3 tables in action, and only 5 quarters a game). Much less costly than a standard pool hall, and I don't mind all of the young, rowdy, impaired ones wandering around (and getting wiped out by me, in game after game, either!) Mostly everybody there was friendly, including the bar-keeps, and I even brought my "main squeeze" with me, last Sat nite--and she was impressed with what a "happening place" it was, in Somerville, nowadays. I also shoot regularly at the Royal, and the Northside, but sometimes there aren't enough other shooters, at the Royal, and the Northside sometimes has a live band, and closes their only pool table (which doesn't work for me, at all!) I don't mind hard core and death metal, but when I come to such a raucous place, I want to shoot pool, or get bored quickly, just listening to music. Besides, it's hard to socialize with chicks, with all of that loud music playing (because they can't hear you, when you try to talk to them)--but everyone is interested in a good game of pool, win, lose, or draw--and nobody gives me any grief with a pool cue stick in my hands, while knocking around those rock hard balls, on the table--and I even enjoyed a quick game of air hockey, with my "main squeeze", too! So, if you like shooting, like me, then come down to the "Hotel", brush aside some of the crowd, and win a few games! Ha ha ha ha ha!“
