“My wife and I were shopping in Montclair and stopped for breakfast at the Bluestone Coffee Company. Bluestone is a coffee cafe and coffee roaster serving breakfast and lunch items. The atmosphere is cozy and warm and their coffee robust. We selected breakfast options of a veggie omelette with cheddar cheese and the zucchini parmesan frittata. Both came with a choice of toast and roasted potatoes. Both were fresh and savory and the potatoes roasted perfectly. Staff was friendly and prices were moderate and fair. Bluestone is a very good choice for breakfast and lunch.“

“Sankofa Cafe is a gift to the Montclair community and surrounding communities that it serves. The atmosphere is wonderful and welcoming, the coffee and tea are wonderful, and the staff are always friendly and helpful.
Sankofa has become of hub of the community, often hosting social and cultural events, in addition to participating in community outreach in support of many causes.
The owner, Jessica Troupe, has poured her heart and soul into this cafe, and it shows. It is one of the best coffee shop in the area.“

“I used to work for Java love in white lake, I left and moved to Amsterdam NY. I miss it so much it was one of my favorite jobs. I wish we had a Java love in Amsterdam, there is no good local coffee and I miss the environment ❤️“

“What a great place! Passed by here once and our daughter’s name is Madison so I thought it would be fun to try out. Made a reservation for Mother’s Day, probably not the best day to try a new place. We showed up for our 12:15 reservations and despite the mob scene outside, our table was waiting. The food and service were spectacular on a busy day. I can’t wait to come back on a normal day. I had the cauliflower tacos. Amazing, as good as they look in the picture. Wife and daughter had omelettes with salad and potatoes. Neither could finish! Not sure if I can post photos“

“I am Burmese and lover of Kyay Oh , it’s the vermicelli noodles soup with the assorted pork and green mustard. I exactly know what good kyay oh tastes like, because my grandmother used to own the Kyay Oh restaurant. But when I tried his soup, it took me to my grandmother’s house , so good, soo good, Highly recommend it. Also, the other dishes are great too. Actually I visited there for three or four times already and I’ll keep going there too. The dessert named Furluda also good. Not too sweet, very good.“

“One of the best gelatos I’ve tried in the US! This makes all the other gelatos I’ve tried seem unauthentic. The hazelnut and pistachio were amazing. I don’t like pistachio ice cream but their pistachio flavor tasted nutty and delicious. I see why so it’s bustling with people going in and out!“

“I was in the area with my daughter and we found Green Chop’s. We decided to try it because it looked delicious and healthy. My daughter (6) ordered the chicken noodle soup and she loved it, ate the whole thing! And I got the House Special salad, super delicious packed with veggies, chicken and a very good dressing. I highly recommend this place and will visit again when I’m in the area“

“I just wanted to write this review just in case there was a negative review coming in. But when I was in Starbucks earlier this morning. I guess a new hire didn’t know where to park at. So I offered to show her. But then her manager went to show her instead , and actually did show her. When I walked back inside this other guest claim that the employees there were laughing at the girl who couldn’t find parking, which is absolutely not true. They were actually trying their best to help her and explain for her where to park at. So I just wanted to say that the team working that day were actually phenomenal and very kind and welcoming. And if a review comes in saying that they were laughing at their coworker, that’s 100% not true sometimes guess like to disturb the truth from what actually happened. Because when she came up to me and said that I did a nice deed because they were laughing at her. I was watching the interaction between the team members and none of them laughed at her. They were all actually very helpful and explaining to her where to park at. So I was kind of confused why the guest sat up there and said loudly that they were all laughing at her. I didn’t get her name, but the girl who had a really long ponytail offered to remake my drink because another guest have taken it before I even got there to pick it up.“
