“We recently hosted a dinner party at Grasshopper off the Green and the event couldn’t have been better! We were in the private room in the basement which was perfect for our occasion. The food , drinks and service were wonderful - a special shout-out to Pauly. Eilish was fantastic to deal with - very accommodating and flexible to my requests. Together we arrived at a menu exactly what I was looking for and suited to the event and our guests, any special dietary needs, etc. The table looked lovely, and was even decorated with a table runner and a personalized menu which Eilish prepared and printed out for our guests. And everything was well within our set budget! No surprises or disappointments. I would highly recommend Grasshopper for a private event, or the regular restaurant upstairs (we also ate lunch in the restaurant another day and the food and service were great).“

“We were here last week while attending the Chill Out Expo. At first we were just getting drinks at the bar but then we all got hungry and decided to try out the food. Despite being completely slammed with so many people who were attending the expo, the service was quick and courteous. The Guinness cheeseburger was one of the best burgers I've ever had! My husband also had a burger and the kids got 12 oz strip steaks cooked and seasoned to perfection. After I left I ordered up some Colman's mustard that they have on the table. That stuff is great! I only wish this place was in closer proximity to where I live because the food is amazing and I would love to try it all. Also we loved reading the historic plaques telling us about the history of the pub. It was a wonderful experience!“
