One major recommendation: spaghetti with meatballs and beef with tacos.
Would be nice to get the beef going.
I believe that offering meatballs in addition to the chicken or shrimp with the pasta would be a good seller!
Kids would like also.

“We came on a whim, and were blown away by the sushi. The miso butter cod and the eel signature rolls in particular were excellent, but everything we ordered was beautifully presented and tasted incredible. Will be back next time we’re in town.

“Went on a date night with my man and we had a great time. The food was very well cooked and seasoned. We got pretzels that were delicious. The mustard had wasabi so it was veryyy spicy and it also came with melted cheese on the side that I loved. Then I got the Schwab burger and it was delicious. My boyfriend got a salmon burger but he didn’t love it. I’m not a beer girl but they had cocktails and it was an amazing drink. I forget the name sorry! The service was great, Leo was our server he was very nice and we got everything we asked for in a timely manner. The atmosphere was nice, just loud on a Saturday night. There’s a shop to buy beer and a pool table. I think there’s an upstairs but we didn’t go up there. Would recommend for girls night, date night, and just casually getting together.“

“Great bartender, incredible music selection and possibly the best burger in the city. Especially for the dollar it is the best burger. The beer list was absolutely incredible and diverse. Happy hour like everywhere in this town means two dollar off pints. Even on days like St. Patrick’s Day, they still are efficient and friendly at Fountain Porter.

Parking: It’s South Philly. You know what you’re getting into. It’s busy.

“We just love our new family restaurant! We get treated like family everytime we go!!!! The atmosphere is so cozy and the staff is exceptional. And let's talk about the food - it's absolutely to die for! The portions during happy hour are perfect and the prices are so reasonable.

But the best part? Let me introduce you to DAVID! He's the star of the show - always attentive, funny, and he makes drinks like a true master! Whenever I go, I insist on being seated with David.

They made our anniversary so special and they truly care about their guests' experience. We feel so lucky to have this gem in the neighborhood. I'd travel far and wide for this level of excellence!

Oh, and I can't forget to mention my favorites: The Good Good Things drink, the Buffalo wings during happy hour, and the amazing cheesesteak! And my kids absolutely love the huge, deep dish, extra cheesy pizza.

The hours are perfect as I generally go to use the simulators before work in the morning and work on my swing or play a round. I’ve also had a few lessons with Senior Golf Pro Matt Davis and I can already tell my swing has gotten better. With the technology they have and following Matt’s direction I feel like I’ll be performing a lot better once I get on an actual course. Highly recommend.“

Chef’s kiss—young, old, and every flavor of humanity in between. The live three-piece jazz band was absolutely melting faces (in the classy jazz way, not the metal way). “Just to illustrate how incredible the food and drinks are- I was broken up with at Sassafras (guy totally broke my heart), and I STILL come back whenever I get the chance, haha. I’m from out of town and occasionally work for a couple weeks a year in Philly, and I absolutely love Sassafras. I go out of my way to have at least one meal here when I’m in town. The atmosphere is incredible- especially for interior design/architecture junkies- the mosaic floor and tile work is lovely, vintage cocktails are beautifully made, and the food is unique and delicious. “Different Cheesesteak #1191. It's a sneaky good cheesesteak. If I were young and hip, I would be a regular at New Wave Cafe. The cheesesteak came with sneaky good French fries. It passed the eye test mostly due to the seeded roll, red peppers, and a big pile of french fries. Provolone cheese. Very well-melted provolone cheese. A sneaky good amount of well-melted provolone cheese added a hardiness to each bite. Nothing really stood out. This cheesesteak by itself may not win any awards. But, all things considered; prime rib, french fries, presentation, decor, and service; I really liked it!! You know I don’t like $17.“

“The bayou basically birthed my child. I had their 25 cent wings every Monday and Tuesday leading up to my due date. I was actually in the bar when my water broke and the staff were so friendly and assisted me until my husband could arrive. Can’t wait for my little girl to try their food when she’s older!“

“Such an amazing view of the city! But they had a very limited menu for food. I wish there were a couple more options. Also we went in October and it got a little chilly on the roof. I was surprised that there wasn’t any heaters or blankets available to make customers comfortable. There also wasn’t any fall drinks/ warm drinks, I feel like that was a missed opportunity. Overall a nice time, but a couple things could have made it better.“

The miso Caesar salad was delish until I connected the smell to a memory which was ~vintage Tupperware~. I couldn’t eat anymore after that but before I had that thought it was delish. “I went to Jet Wine bar for a Halloween movie night with a friend. They were understaffed but they still went above and beyond to take care of us. Food and drinks were excellent. We watched the movie inside even though they were only serving outside. It was so kind and really an unnecessary accommodation they made for us to enjoy our time there. I'll definitely be going back!

“It’s harder and harder to find a good cocktail for under $20 in a big city. Poison Heart gives you excellent cocktails, great small bites, and an unpretentious environment in spades. Oysters and waffle fries hit. The Songs About Keri is a quaffable, less sweet version of a good margarita. The Goodbye Horses is a nicely acidic, bright redo on a classic Old Fashioned.“

“This place is fun for a family with older teens. Several groups around us, of all adults, were having a lot of fun too. We have older teens and this was a great way to spend an evening together. The staff is the best part about this place. They are friendly and attentive. The food is basic bar fare but not bad at all, it hits the spot. The axe throwing is a good time. Our instructor was excellent and I landed way more axes than I didn’t after some instruction. The gals at the bar were super friendly. We will definitely come back each time we visit our college kiddo in Philly.“

“Been coming for years — love this place. Great food, great service, great beer list.

The highlights of our meal tonight were the Au Poivre burger on special — so tender, juicy, and cooked exactly as I ordered it — and the apple walnut gorgonzola salad. I subbed in their house balsamic which is SO good with the sweet candied walnuts. HUGE chunks of high quality gorg, too. Iced tea was delicious and the lemons were clean and fresh. (This matters!)
