“Really nice dock and outside space for this little dive. I used to be local to this bar so I would go for drinks all the time, never really ate there. The bartender treated me very oddly, wasn’t impressed. (Know that I am a stickler for good service… in the service industry!) But for my first time dining in there, I was surprised to say the food was pretty good. I got a roasted veggie flatbread and added chicken to it. It was the biggest flatbread I’ve ever seen and very tasty!“

“Meaning 'cozy' in Danish, this place lives up to its name. It's one of our go-to's in the neighborhood and they've been so consistent over the years. Great brunch/dinner menu + craft brews coupled with a welcoming staff and ambiance.“

“Had a great time at Tattooed Mom. Apart from the eclectic decor, the service was very prompt and attentive. The drinks were inexpensive and very good. Tried the Cosmo Cloud which I would definitely recommend. For food, the pepper parm fries are a must! Wish I lived closer because I'd definitely be a regular.“

“The ambiance is very relaxing here and moderately upscale. Decor gives you the feel of being in Cuba. The food was well seasoned. There are not many options if you don't eat pork or seafood, unfortunately. Drinks are a bit overpriced and lack the wow factor, just spring for the lemonade instead.“

This location is much smaller but high class don’t let the curb appeal fool you. 2 of the 6 of us were 10 mins late due to traffic and waited over an hr past our reservation time. I was a little leary when I heard the name, because I grew up in Kensington, & strived to get away from there as a kid, but now,.....now it's the new hip spot to be, & this place checked all the boxes of a place I'd like to have in my suburban neighborhood. “Tapas doesn’t meet my expectations. The only memorable tapas was the grilled chicken. Paella was okay. There were a generous portion of seafood and poultry on the paella but there wasn’t a crunchy bottom. And the dish was a bit on the salty side even for a Chinese myself.“

The crispy cauliflower and mushroom pita pizza are a must-try. The Thai chili wings and Buffalo wings were deliciously sauced, along with my margarita. The Smash burger is a must-try too. “Great spot for a cheap burger that is good quality. A bit under-seasoned but you get salt pepper to add. Very reminiscent of home style / back yard barbecue burgers. Hard to not have some bias for how affordable it is at 6 bucks but I don’t think it’s a burger that trumps other bar burgers flavor wise. Fries are good especially soaked in malt vinegar. Don’t really get the appeal of going after sun down when it’s pitch black inside though. Makes it super awkward when people go to the bathroom and this blaring light suddenly appears in the corner of your eye or if you go and come out from a piss to see the whole bar squinting at you because you’re a visual disturbance“

“So many watering holes in this area. Oscar's feels like the only campfire. I spent 2 days in Center City and came here both days. D was my bartender and welcomed me, remembered my name and my drink. Locals were beyond friendly. On a solo work trip when I felt alone without my family, I truly felt at home at Oscar's. Can't recommend bellying up and shooting the sh*t more. Love Oscar's.“

There is both a small bar with beers on tap and coolers with a wide variety of beers, both craft and the regular stuff which my husband was very pleased with. Most of all this is just a fun, relaxing easygoing stop. We had tired feet after several hours of sightseeing and this felt perfect.“

“Perfect neighborhood gem. Gastropub food is just delicious. Wide variety of food options as well as a terrific beer selection. Through the pub and then a doorway into the "house" next door is a very cozy two floor (maybe three?)experience, a house turned into an eating area, also a surprise pinball machine corner and televisions on both floors. Very unique, very comfortable. You just want to hang there all night as if it were your own house. Love it“
