“My girlfriend and I were both feeling like absolute sickness, and after a long, brutal day at work, a hot bowl of matzoh ball soup was sounding suspiciously like the only thing that could save us. Famous 4th Street came through, and then some. The GM, Kevin, went out of his way to deliver a bag of goods large enough to feed a small army. Matzoh balls the size of a doggo’s skull. Kugel slices the size of a phone book. The kind of Jewish deli generosity that makes you want to write a google review from your deathbed. We really appreciate the care Kevin put into making sure we were fed and happy. Thank you!!“

“We dined here while visiting Philly for the weekend. We managed to walk in, but the restaurant is small and intimate so a reservation is probably best. It is also BYOB, so remember to bring a bottle of wine if you want something to drink.

The menu is clearly marked with gluten-free options, making ordering easy. Our server asked about allergies upfront and was confident handling the request when we noted my partner has Celiac (we mentioned it as a gluten allergy to the staff). We ordered the seared duck leg confit and the steak au poivre, and both were excellent. My partner had no symptoms the following day. We did not ask specific questions about shared kitchen space, but the clear labeling and great atmosphere made for an excellent dinner.“

Crispy outside and soft inside...and the sandwich overall was full of flavor...Will definitely come back and order some of the other sandwiches on my next trip to Philly!!!

“Too difficult to buy a cup of coffee here, the coffee ordering set up should be in the front, not the back and why is it so dark in the back? I want to like this place but it has no vibe…just the sight of staffers running around. The Hostess always looks bored and the back is like a madhouse. It’s one of the only places to get a cup of coffee ☕ near to Rittenhouse Park but where it’s well lit, it’s a quiet upscale grocery shop but the back feels like you’ve entered a subway station at rush hour!

Not sure what the remedy is but I’d suggest that you open up the front space, remove the annoying velvet rope and stop putting “reserved” signs on all of the tables (just sit people there who want to enjoy a cup of coffee for 15 minutes). This is a beautiful spot, but boy does it stress me out once you walk in the back.

Put on Italian music and hire some drop dead gorgeous guy or gal who knows how to convey ITALIAN WARMTH to customers!!! Every time I walk in the hostess is shy. She should be greeting guests and be IN FRONT, not planted at the podium.

“Not only is the food outstanding at Taco Heart, but so is their customer service. I recently ordered some of their tortillas online for pick up. When I arrived at the shop, they didn't have any ready for me to take home. The went above and beyond to make sure I got what I ordered and had them delivered, free of charge, to my home (miles away) later that day. It meant a lot to me, and has earned them a regular customer for life!“

“Whatever good you heard, it’s true. Tuna hoagie is gas and I don’t even like tuna hoagies that much. Seafood salad has FRESH crab and shrimp, not just imitation. Fresh ingredients and the bun is the perfect mixture of being sturdy yet soft but not gummy. Coming back for sure and it’s clean.“

“Truly a 10/10 experience from start to finish.

This was our first visit after hearing so many great things, and we left feeling like family. Our server, Grant, was fantastic, super attentive, incredibly helpful, and genuinely kind. The rest of the staff made us feel just as welcome. We were originally seated inside but asked if it would be possible to move outside, and they happily accommodated us without hesitation.

Since it was our first time, we had no idea what to order. We basically rallied the staff and bombarded them with questions, and everyone was more than happy to help. We ended up trusting their recommendations, and they absolutely nailed it. We ordered the sausage & fennel pizza, the mushroom white pizza, the kale Caesar, the focaccia, and the ricotta dip. Every single thing blew us away.

The pacing of the meal was perfect. Everything came out at just the right time, so the table never felt cluttered. We definitely ordered with our eyes, but we weren’t complaining because the leftovers were just as exciting to take home.

The focaccia deserves a special mention. You can tell the bread program is something they take a lot of pride in. Their dough is absolutely dialed in. As someone who loves wood-fired pizza, it’s always a treat to get a pie that’s still sturdy and not floppy,
a difficult thing to pull off when you’re cooking pizzas in under three minutes at around 800 degrees.

One of the highlights of the night was when the chef let us try a new dish he was working on; a tomato salad with caramelized breadcrumbs. It was absolutely mind-blowing and fit seamlessly with the rest of the menu. I think it’s easy for new chefs to come in wanting to make a statement or put too much of their own ego into every dish. This wasn’t that at all. It was thoughtful, humble, and incredibly well-executed. It complemented what was already a fantastic menu instead of trying to overshadow it. You can tell there’s a real sense of collaboration in the kitchen, and it’s exciting to see that kind of synergy. They already had something special, and it feels like great things are still to come.

Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the portion sizes were perfect for me and my date.

A huge thank you to Danny, Grant and Garrett, who were absolute sweethearts, along with the rest of the team for making our first visit so memorable. The food was outstanding, the service was exceptional, and the hospitality made all the difference.
