“I've eaten at the Rise n Shine on occasion and find it's no frills local hometown vibe inviting. I prefer sitting at the counter old school and watching the traffic go by as I enjoy a delicious omlette. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, and the food is excellent.“

“We had a lovely meal, at the counter it was very busy! Food is always delicious! My only complaint is that my tea had a flavor of coffee to it. Sitting at the counter, I could see why. The teabags sit right on top of the coffee maker next to the coffee beans. even though most of the tea bags are wrapped individually, the coffee aroma and flavor does seep into them.. as a tea drinker that is a big turn off. I will go back again just not for a cup of tea!“

“Great place for breakfast and/or lunch. The diner is small, with a long counter and two person tables and a few booths. The food is delicious and the servers friendly and attentive.Normally I only order homemade hash, but Gloria (our server) exclaimed that theirs was really good (even out of the can) and she was right. It was perfectly made and tasty, with crunchy well done edges. It was crowded when we arrived (noon), but plenty of seating after 1pm.The diner is not wheelchair accessible, but there is an outdoor space that may be accessible in the warm months (outdoor space was closed today). There are steps leading up the front door, and the inside is pretty tight, as far as maneuverability.Few parking places out front, but plenty of street parking on a quiet street. Will definitely return!!“

“Very good breakfast. Hit the spot. Went around 10:30 place was full but was able to get a seat pretty quickly. I had a belly buster omelet and my mother had eggs over easy with a ham steak. We both had coffee. Hers was nice mine was hot. Our bill was roughly 10 dollars cheaper than most of the breakfast places we go to, only catch is CASH ONLY - but super worth it.“

“I say with the utmost confidence that Barons is the best bagel place in NJ and I live 45 minutes away from both locations. We usually go to Point Pleasant but stop in Brick sometimes as well. The breakfast sandwiches are HUGE (as pictured). Their cream cheese is also super fresh and you get a ton. Sometimes we get one bagel on the side and we make 2 bagels w cream cheese out of it. Can't recommend them enough! **Cash only**“

“Apple Street Kitchen is a little, neighborhood gem. It’s slightly off the beaten track. After you discover it, I promise you’ll become a fan for life. They are known for using the freshest, locally sourced ingredients. They do try to refresh their menu every season. That way it stays current. Check them out if you’re looking for a cute breakfast or lunch place. They also have outdoor seating in their garden area in the warmer months.“

“It's really good. The food is fresh. Everything's made in house. The service is okay. Besides my cup having lipstick on it, everything else was pretty on point. I'll definitely be returning because the food is just really well done in the service. It came out “

Service was fast, and portions were large. 3 chicken tenders on a large Belgian waffle and lox hollandaise with 2 hashbrowns couldn't be finished by my wife and I. Food was fresh and great, coffee bottomless and menu robust. $36 including tip.Vegetarian options: Omelets, sandwiches and moreParking: May have to check side streetsKid-friendliness: Kids were there when we went“

“I know a good bagel from years of working in Manhattan and the bagels here are as good as any I had in the City and adjacent boroughs. Fresh out of their ovens @ 6 AM you'll never get a better one unless you hit "Hot Bagels" in Oakhurst or the bagels from a place in Red Bank--sorry can't remember the name.“
