“Had breakfast here early on a Saturday with a friend. Food was good for sure. However, EVERY person working at this restaurant attended to us. We had a hard time finishing one sentence of our conversation without being asked how things were or if we wanted more coffee. I'm serious, no fewer than 6 people visited our table. Our waitress, Marissa, was personable and helpful; she was taking care of us very well. The 1-star for atmosphere was because the OWNER came to our table and asked if we wanted more coffee. I declined, but my friend accepted. I swear she did this just to make him go away as Marissa had offered us coffee moments before and she'd declined. THEN WE OVERHEAR the manager giving Marissa a hard time because we ACCEPTED COFFEE. His assumption was that she had not been attending to us instead of understanding that women know that the male ego has a hard time with the word NO. Not only should management not be giving a good waitress a hard time, they certainly should not do it where customers can hear. Gross!“

“Found this restaurant just off the Garden State Parkway. Two of us had a wonderful brunch on a late Monday morning. The eggs on my Benedict were cooked perfectly; greens were fresh. The million dollar bacon was fabulous. Our server was prompt and courteous.

“Really cute place with plenty of clean tables. Staff is nice and friendly and even brought my bagel over to me. A little expensive, I had an everything cheese egg and chorizo for $9. The chorizo is extra cost but very good, adds a nice zing and crisp to it. The everything bagel is also very flavorful. Best bagel I’ve had in Bayonne.“

“I eat breakfast here about 3-4x a week and the food is good. My only issue is that on Aug 12 2025 I ordered my usually breakfast sandwiches and instead of telling me they ran out of eggs they sold me the sandwiches at full price and yea beef bacon cheese on a roll with jelly does not hit the same without eggs. I didn't hold it against them and I came in today Aug 13 and me not even asking for anything free or any favors started to inform the woman at the counter what happened and she just cut me off mid sentence and asked for my order she clearly did not care. I left it alone and this was my favorite breakfast spot but today will be the last time I give them my business. The food is great tho.“

“I came here to eat & they were very pack. I’m just surprised at how small the location is I definitely feel like they should get a bigger spot. Most ihop I been to their locations are way bigger. I hope in the near future they make some changes.“

“Very homey place, their onion rings are cooked to crispy perfection. I had the Roselle Cheeseburger; the patty was thin but dense, leaving room for the rest of the ingredients. It was delicious, not too greasy. Friendly service. Might make a habit of visiting this place for lunch more often.“

“We got an Airbnb arpund the Corner and wanted an authentic breakfast.
The Lady who Served was Kind and explained everything to us and was patient.
Food was good, Portion sizes alot bigger than expected, although the Pancakes could have used some syrup imo.
Still a recommendation, even though it's a busy place, it adds to the Charme for Sure.

“They have the best cheese grits around! I've had omletes, beef sausage, home fries and lunch sandwiches. I have never been disappointed by any item on the menu. I recommend calling ahead to pick up your order. Sometimes there can be a long wait but it is definitely worth it.“

“I’ve been eating here for almost 10 years. The food is OUT OF THIS WORLD. People use the word butter milk pancakes loosely. Theirs really taste like butter milk. Everything is good. Same chef for years. My only complaint is, They never open on time, they’ve actually been closed for a while with no notice. “I went there on a Saturday during the Puerto Rican Festival in Perth Amboy. It was crowded, and people were waiting for a table, but we eventually got one in about 10-15 minutes. The food was good. Patty Melt with Beer-Battered Onion Rings is always a good choice.“

“I like this IHOP offers a variety of dishes, my favorite was fresh squeezed orange juice.
I was very impressed how good service my server HMaee ( I might spell his name wrong ) offered -
he was the only one greeting me (meanwhile there ware couple younger female, waitresses busier checking on their cell phones then pay attention on walk in customers ) he worn smile and very fairly hosting people( there were party of 3 walking after me but he lead me to his section and them to other services section ) ; he talks politely and treat me the same as serving bigger group tables not because my table only me one customer- ( I had bad experiences with IHop at Elizabeth, NJ )

“I am a solo traveler visiting the USA and had a disappointing experience at this IHOP near Jersey Gardens Mall in New Jersey. While waiting, I noticed that a large family was given priority. I completely understand that they were a group of more than five people, and I have no complaint about that.

However, after I was seated, I waited about 15–20 minutes and no waiter came to take my order. Despite trying to get attention, I was not served. Eventually, I left without having breakfast.

I would also like to mention that the menu looked excellent, and I was genuinely looking forward to trying the food. My disappointment was with the service, not the menu or the restaurant itself. I hope management can improve customer service so that future guests receive timely attention.“
