“I walked into IHOP expecting a normal breakfast, but I was NOT prepared for Bernard.

Bernard wasn’t just my server. He was a legend.

I ordered pancakes, and when they arrived, the restaurant fell silent. The pancakes were perfect. But then—DISASTER.

THE SYRUP WAS EMPTY.

I looked at Bernard. Bernard looked at me.

Without saying a word, he marched toward the syrup station like a warrior entering battle. Moments later, he returned with a fresh bottle.

The crisis was over.

As I finished my meal, I realized the truth: Bernard wasn’t an ordinary server.

He was the Guardian of IHOP.

“We recently stopped by to check out The Common's new wine bar - The Uncommon Wine Bar.

The food and drinks were great. It amazing how they transition the space every day from a day time restaurant to a very classy and cozy wine bar. All the apps our group tasted were excellent. There is a nice selection of wine by the bottle and by the glass and a few beers and coffees available as well.

All seating is at tables (i.e., there is no bar) which makes the atmosphere quite relaxed. There are no entrees per se, but we managed to make a full meal out of the apps and charcuterie available. The service was great, very pleasant and attentive.“

We came across this restaurant on the GPS and decided to stop in for breakfast before continuing our trip. I am so glad we did! It was just what we needed to continue on. Not only were the food and drinks delicious but the customer service was top tier! I wish we got the name of the individual who served us. I believe she was the owner. She took time to speak with us, made suggestions on what we could order (my husband loved the big Johnston breakfast), engaged with my toddler with kindness and playfulness which was so helpful after a long drive. We were so grateful for her. The service was above and beyond. She even helped us with parking suggestion which was confusing for us as we were out of town. Loved how she engaged with the other customers and her regulars. You could definitely tell that the customer service we experienced was not a one-off experience. “I had such a wonderful experience here! From the moment you walk through the door, you're welcomed with a warm greeting and seated with menus right away. The atmosphere was calm and inviting when we arrived, and by the time we left, the restaurant had filled up, which says a lot.

The food came out fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. I ordered the steak platter with scrambled eggs, home fries, and grilled onions, and every bite was flavorful without feeling heavy. I paired it with a caramel latte, and it was the perfect addition to the meal.

One thing I'm especially excited about is their weekend menu, which is available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. It looks amazing, so I'll definitely be coming back to try it.

It's right near Trinity place, which puts you right near the world trade center and all that and the 9/11 memorial has a lot of other things to do after you eat!. The food is good atmosphere was fun, and as you sit down they bring your food out to you, which I thought was a nice little touch. ENJOY!“

The extra attention with the packaging really shows how much they care. The food was also very yummy; I had the espresso mocha with the better breakfast and a pecan bun. Would recommend.“

“Best Damn Breakfast Burrito has become one of my regular breakfast stops, and the Egg Whites Laurena is my go-to order. The flavors are great, the ingredients taste fresh, and it manages to be satisfying without feeling overly heavy. It’s the kind of breakfast I find myself coming back for again and again.

My only complaint is structural rather than culinary. The tortilla simply doesn’t do a good enough job containing the filling. Every time I order it, the contents start leaking out almost immediately, making it nearly impossible to eat without creating a mess. A sturdier wrap or a slightly different assembly would make a huge difference.

Despite that, the quality of the food keeps me coming back. If they could solve the burrito engineering problem, it would be very close to perfect.“

“I eat breakfast here about 3-4x a week and the food is good. My only issue is that on Aug 12 2025 I ordered my usually breakfast sandwiches and instead of telling me they ran out of eggs they sold me the sandwiches at full price and yea beef bacon cheese on a roll with jelly does not hit the same without eggs. I didn't hold it against them and I came in today Aug 13 and me not even asking for anything free or any favors started to inform the woman at the counter what happened and she just cut me off mid sentence and asked for my order she clearly did not care. I left it alone and this was my favorite breakfast spot but today will be the last time I give them my business. The food is great tho.“
