Get there before 3;30 PM if you want sliced cheese because they close the slicer at 3;30. I know if I get there at 3;32 PM the slicer is off. It has a milder flavor compared to Katz's, which I actually prefer since it allowed me to finish the whole sandwich in one go. Katz's meat is so intensely flavorful that I usually need to take a break and cleanse my palate before I can finish later. This place is a fantastic alternative if you're in Jersey. The prices are reasonable, and the 8 oz option is perfect for satisfying your craving without breaking the bank. The Knish and macaroni salad were delicious as well. They give you delicious pickles. We’ll definitely be returning often. Update January 2026. Stopped by for some pastrami sandwiches. They are still delicious and worth every penny. Hot dog special this week, $2.00.
