“This place is cozy and has an amazing variety of Mediterranean cuisine. Excellent service! The pita is perfectly soft and goes very well with their homemade hummus and baba ganoush. Every dish is authentic and delicious. From their fresh mint lemonade to their dessert, everything was wonderful. I hope they stay around for a long time because we’ll be eating here more often. Thank you!“

Sehara grill American • $
7606 Bergenline Ave, North Bergen

“We got the mixed grill platter and the shrimp platter. Both were excellent. As much as I love my shrimp, I think I may have liked the mixed grill more. I expected the "white sauce" that came with it to be tzatziki or something similar but it was more like ranch instead. Maybe that was to use also with the lettuce & tomatoes on the side. The hot sauce they use is also very tasty. We also got a chocolate shake. I expected big things from a homemade shake like that. It was good but not as good as I'd hoped for.“

“This is hands down the most authentic middle eastern food you can get in New Jersey. The quality of the food is out of this world; feels like a meal you would have at someone’s grandmas home. The prices are more than fair for the quantity and the quality of the food you are served. The menu is diverse and has various options to choose from (good for even the pickets of eaters). The service is also outstanding. The team is very hospitable and dietary restrictions such as allergies very seriously, ensuring you have a comfortable, stress free dining experience. This is hands down the best restaurant I have ever been to in New Jersey and has truly become a staple amongst my friends and I.“

“GERMAN DONER KEBAB - AN ENLIGHTENMENT If you're from Berlin, it feels like there's a kebab store on every other corner. So I can recognize and judge a kebab when I see it. Even just leaving Berlin and Brandenburg, the kebab experience changes within Germany. The further you get away from Berlin, the worse the kebabs get. Some time ago in New York, I discovered one or two places trying to make a kebab. Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to find a proper kebab in New York, despite the name kebab. What was being sold was called a kebab, but had very little to do with a kebab and tasted even less like a kebab. All the more enlightenment then... the recommendation of a friend living in Brooklyn. "German Doner Kebab" in Brooklyn. And then the first kebab there since 2018 here in New York. I can't even describe how happy I was. It looked like a kebab, it tasted like a kebab and came pretty close to a kebab from Berlin. Really well made. Incl. tax 12.51 dollars is a bit steep, but still good value for New York. The portion was good and filling. Everything is really fresh and well seasoned. The bread was just as it should be, thin and crispy. This was pretty much the best kebab I've had in a very, very long time (with the exception of one visit to Berlin). I will definitely go back there again. “I have been passing by this small restaurant for the past 4 years and wanting to try it out. Finally I went and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised that the small restaurant, which doesn’t look like much from the outside has amazing Mediterranean Turkish food. I was very impressed. Everything was fresh And delicious. This is definitely gem in the ruff . The restaurant is very welcoming and comfi . It’s a family business, and Adam was very helpful and pleasant as a waiter and he told me that his family owns the business. They take a lot of pride in the food that they serve. Also the price for what I paid for lunch was a great deal I got a Shepherds salad. Chicken kebab with rice, and another grain called Bulgar. they also gave me on the house a Turkish custard, which was very delicious. The lunch also comes with a soda. This is a must try hotspot, especially for lunch. I will definitely be back to eat the delicious Turkish food.“

“Known as "Party BBQ" in English: Located on Broadway, between 45th Ave & Whitney Ave., in Elmhurst (in front of the Asian Supermarket which has its own parking lot). This BBQ lot has been here for years and has quite a large following. There's always a line of ppl patiently waiting for their BBQ goodness! On this Tuesday evening at around 7:30pm, it was no exception; there were about 8 ppl on line. But don't let that deter you from ordering your BBQ Skewers! The line moves surprisingly quickly. This is a one man show and he was hustling! Kudos to the hardworking gentleman making our BBQ Kebabs, and don't forget to tip him!On this visit, we tried their Beef and Lamb Kebabs ($1.75 each). We asked for the kebabs with cumin and extra spicy. These were so flavorful and delicious! My only complaint is that some pieces were very fatty but very good nonetheless.I will definitely be looking for this cart the next time I'm in the area. Looking forward to trying their other skewers! (See my photos for their menu offerings).“
