“We got the mixed grill platter and the shrimp platter. Both were excellent. As much as I love my shrimp, I think I may have liked the mixed grill more. I expected the "white sauce" that came with it to be tzatziki or something similar but it was more like ranch instead. Maybe that was to use also with the lettuce & tomatoes on the side. The hot sauce they use is also very tasty. We also got a chocolate shake. I expected big things from a homemade shake like that. It was good but not as good as I'd hoped for.“

“This is hands down the most authentic middle eastern food you can get in New Jersey. The quality of the food is out of this world; feels like a meal you would have at someone’s grandmas home. The prices are more than fair for the quantity and the quality of the food you are served. The menu is diverse and has various options to choose from (good for even the pickets of eaters). The service is also outstanding. The team is very hospitable and dietary restrictions such as allergies very seriously, ensuring you have a comfortable, stress free dining experience. This is hands down the best restaurant I have ever been to in New Jersey and has truly become a staple amongst my friends and I.“

For dinner we ordered the Big Chicken plate and the spicy beef noodles. The quality of the food makes up for the delayed wait time in service. Expect a wait, but the quality of the food is worth it!Dietary restrictions: Halal options available“

“I’ve had this place on my list for a while now. I loved trying the kebabs and sharab/drinks (virgin for me!). I loved the colonial-era decor with peacocks and carved wood. The appetizer portion sizes could be improved and the bathrooms could’ve been better too but nothing too bad. The food was really good! Here’s what we had:▪️Dahi ke Kebab (yogurt) 9/10▪️Sardarji Machi (Old Delhi fish) 9/10▪️Doori Kebab with Sheermal (goat) 10/10▪️Paneer Shashlik (cheese skewers) 6/10▪️Old Delhi Korma (mutton) 8/10▪️Bangin’ Baingan (eggplant) 7/10▪️Palak Paneer (spinach and cheese) 5/10?Chai raisin cake with rasmalai milk and chai ice cream 6/10?Mango Chutney (mango, pomegranate) 8/10ps> they’re halal and even brought out dates for the whole restaurant for iftaar!? “GERMAN DONER KEBAB - AN ENLIGHTENMENT If you're from Berlin, it feels like there's a kebab store on every other corner. So I can recognize and judge a kebab when I see it. Even just leaving Berlin and Brandenburg, the kebab experience changes within Germany. The further you get away from Berlin, the worse the kebabs get. Some time ago in New York, I discovered one or two places trying to make a kebab. Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to find a proper kebab in New York, despite the name kebab. What was being sold was called a kebab, but had very little to do with a kebab and tasted even less like a kebab. All the more enlightenment then... the recommendation of a friend living in Brooklyn. "German Doner Kebab" in Brooklyn. And then the first kebab there since 2018 here in New York. I can't even describe how happy I was. It looked like a kebab, it tasted like a kebab and came pretty close to a kebab from Berlin. Really well made. Incl. tax 12.51 dollars is a bit steep, but still good value for New York. The portion was good and filling. Everything is really fresh and well seasoned. The bread was just as it should be, thin and crispy. This was pretty much the best kebab I've had in a very, very long time (with the exception of one visit to Berlin). I will definitely go back there again. Bisher konnte ich leider in New York trotz Bezeichnung Döner keinen ordentlichen Döner entdecken. Das was da verkauft wurde, heißt zwar Döner, hatte mit Döner aber recht wenig zu tun und schmeckte noch viel weniger nach einem Döner. Um so mehr dann die Erleuchtung... die Empfehlung eines Freundes in Brooklyn lebend. "German Doner Kebab" in Brooklyn. -------------------------------------------------“

“I am a chicken girl and can completely without reservation recommend any and all chicken dishes and sandwiches on the menu. I have had them all over and over. Also the French fries and green salad. They are my go to usually twice a week.Believe the listed menu needs to be updated price wise but still the best deals in town. A HuGE plus you have the Richard Tucker (google him) Park right across the street for seating. Linda“

“Large Uzbek restaurant that serves halal. If you come during Ramadan, be sure to make a reservation since it gets full for iftar. Dates and water are provided for iftar. The food and service were great. They also have a section for prayers. The samsas are flaky and delicious especially paired with the sauce. The tandir gosht is so tender and a bit smoky. The plov was also very good but the meat is a bit dry. Overall everything was great! Would definitely come back!“

“Such a lovely dinner! Food made my mouth water and had so much flavor. I had the hummus and chicken, both fantastic. Highlight was when the team brought me out a sample of the fesenjoon at the end of the meal because they wanted me to try it and I’d been torn at the start of the meal. Absolutely worth it. Very cozy, will certainly be back!“

“I have been passing by this small restaurant for the past 4 years and wanting to try it out. Finally I went and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised that the small restaurant, which doesn’t look like much from the outside has amazing Mediterranean Turkish food. I was very impressed. Everything was fresh And delicious. This is definitely gem in the ruff . The restaurant is very welcoming and comfi . It’s a family business, and Adam was very helpful and pleasant as a waiter and he told me that his family owns the business. They take a lot of pride in the food that they serve. Also the price for what I paid for lunch was a great deal I got a Shepherds salad. Chicken kebab with rice, and another grain called Bulgar. they also gave me on the house a Turkish custard, which was very delicious. The lunch also comes with a soda. This is a must try hotspot, especially for lunch. I will definitely be back to eat the delicious Turkish food.“

“Literally one of the best restaurants I've eaten at in NYC (and I've been to a lot)! We ordered 5 Mezze options (potato, cauliflower , baba ganouj, labne, and hummus) to form a platter and everything was phenomenal. My boyfriend thought he didn't like baba ganoush until he tried it at this restaurant! This will definitely become a regular spot for us!Vegetarian options: All of the Mezze options are vegetarian, and they have many veg entrees and sides as well!“

“As someone who lived in Germany and who’s favorite street food was Döner, I was very skeptical about this place claiming “Berliner Döner” taste. BUT this place positively surprised me! The bread was fresh, tasty and had right thickness. They add the right sauces - red (hot) and white (garlic/sour cream). Meat tasted really good too - fresh and flavorful. Overall delicious döner - very close to authentic one from Berlin!“

“As an Uyghur, I love seeing my people opening restaurants with our ethnic food. I love how we could connect through with other people through food, so people who are unfamiliar with us can learn more when they visit these types of restaurants. The atmosphere of this restaurant was so cozy and beautiful. The service was great and fast. The food was delicious. We ordered a couple of different dishes. Everything was fresh and tasty. Drove an hour and 20 minutes from Brooklyn, definitely worth it & definitely coming back.“

“Used to come to this spot a lot. But stopped going because of problematic personnel. Decided to give this another shot and the guy is genuinely nice. Got my usual combo over rice (chicken + lamb). Chicken was good and the guy didn't over sauce my plate. Happy to come again as long as the service is good.Cheers“

“Known as "Party BBQ" in English: Located on Broadway, between 45th Ave & Whitney Ave., in Elmhurst (in front of the Asian Supermarket which has its own parking lot). This BBQ lot has been here for years and has quite a large following. There's always a line of ppl patiently waiting for their BBQ goodness! On this Tuesday evening at around 7:30pm, it was no exception; there were about 8 ppl on line. But don't let that deter you from ordering your BBQ Skewers! The line moves surprisingly quickly. This is a one man show and he was hustling! Kudos to the hardworking gentleman making our BBQ Kebabs, and don't forget to tip him!On this visit, we tried their Beef and Lamb Kebabs ($1.75 each). We asked for the kebabs with cumin and extra spicy. These were so flavorful and delicious! My only complaint is that some pieces were very fatty but very good nonetheless.I will definitely be looking for this cart the next time I'm in the area. Looking forward to trying their other skewers! (See my photos for their menu offerings).“

“I love a spot that has consistently good food and you know what you're getting- that's Ayat! I always start with their mezze filistini which is served with their fresh hot outa bread! Their mixed platter for the main course has been a hit with anyone who I have brought here. It can get pretty packed and I think they have reservation options. In the summer they have a rooftop- deff make reservations for that. Be sure to end your meal with any of their desserts and their tea They have multiple locations now so there are plenty of options to find one that's close you!“

“Don’t sleep on this place!Located on a small side street in rego park it can be easily missed without knowing about it. The decor is what my interior design friend described as resembling a turkish marketplace. This place offers some amazing authentic Kosher Bukharian cuisine. They have their own tandoor ( stone oven ) to make fresh bread Liposhka and Samsa.Menu offers everything you might want from lagman, shurpa, samsa, plov, 7 types of shashlik, manty and more! All delicious.I suggested they add a dessert option to extend the meal experience.“

“Significantly better than the first time I tried this chain at another location. The rice was a little al dente for my taste, but the meat was seasoned well and it definitely did the trick. They understood when I asked them to be careful about cross-contamination because I have celiac and need to make sure my food is gluten-free, but they didn’t seem very happy about it!Dietary restrictions: GF options marked but staff aren’t very reassuring, and bread is present in the kitchen“
